Virginia and New Jersey voters will choose governors today, and California will decide whether to support Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s plans to curb unions’ campaign spending and state legislature’s political power.
The New Jersey race sets Democratic U.S. Senator Jon Corzine against Republican businessman Douglas Forrester, two millionaires who spent a record $70 million on the campaign. In Virginia, Republican Jerry Kilgore is vying with Democrat Tim Kaine to replace Governor Mark Warner, a Democrat who can’t succeed himself under state law.
As a Californian, here’s how I’ll be voting on the high profile propositions:
Prop 73, Parental Notification: YES
Prop 74, Accountability in the Classroom: YES
Prop 75, Paycheck Protection: YES
Prop 76, State Budget Reform: YES
Prop 77, Hold the Politicians accountable: YES
Prop 80, Flawed Electricity Policies: NO
