The prisoners at Gitmo were captured on the Afghan battlefield. They were not caught up on the crosssfire delivering pizzas. They were on the ground fighting for the biggest savage of them all.

But then the left, led by the ACLU, whines and moans, and the Bush admin responds by releasing scores of the enemies beasts we had contained at Gitmo. Those released didn’t go work in retail, or back to delivering pizzas, or being a nice Mullah for the Religion of Peace. No, they have other business.

Case in point: Here, as an example, is what two Moroccan’s found time to do once they were released:

Moroccan police have dismantled a terrorist network, arresting 17 people, including two former prisoners at the U.S. base in Guantanamo, Cuba, the official MAP news agency reported Sunday. At least some of the suspects were linked to Al Qaeda in Iraq.

Brahim Benchekroun and Mohammed Mazouz — among five Moroccans freed from Guantanamo in August 2004 — were among the suspects…

Benchekroun and Mazouz were arrested in Pakistan and Afghanistan in late 2001 and among five Moroccans accused of taking training courses in how to handle firearms and make explosives.

A suspected former body guard of Usama bin Laden, Abdellah Tabarak, was also among the five released from Guantanamo. They were given provisional freedom in Morocco after leaving U.S. custody, but all face trial in their home country.

Criminy.

Are you suggesting that it isn’t reasonable to release terrorists so they can maim and murder in order for ACLU members to feel good about themselves?

I think it was a mistake to start the detention camp at Guantanamo. These terrorists are not signatories to any conventions concerning POWs, and we can rest assured that they would at the least kill any American soldiers who might be captured. Rather than detaining them at Gitmo they should have been quckly and mercifully sent to see Allah.

I think that we should not become those things which we are resisting.
