Malignant Narcissist Alert

by Tammy on January 31, 2006 · 19 comments

Every now and then it’s a good thing to point out the behavior of the Malignant Narcissist in our midst. The MalNar is a creature for all seasons, as it peeks out of its hole, and surveys its surroundings. One actually emerged just prior to the State of the Union address tonight. How, how, how, it muses, can it make an event about itself? “How,” it mutters to itself, “can I prove to everyone around me that it’s all about me, me, me meeeeeeeee!???!!!!!!!!!!”

As the creature, which is seen in both the daylight and nighttime hours, ponders its options, it remains completely ignorant of its MalNar-ness, as it plods along cluelessly truly believing that everything revolves around it, is about it, or will be made to be about it, and only it.

The rarer of the species, the “Cindy Sheehan,” is also one of the more clueless of the species. Tonight we saw the creature try to make the SOTU all about her, and well, her timing was just a little off.

Already relegated to the Peanut Gallery inside the Capitol chamber, (with friends like Lynne Woolsey who needs a bad ticket agent?), the creature was removed from the gallery for wearing a protest/statement t-shirt. It’s a shame when every “activist” worth his or her salt knows that heckling the conservative speaker is a much more effective way to try make everything about you.

But, as we at Tammy Geographic have noted, the “Cindy” of the MalNar species is rare because well, it’s also a little slower than the rest. We last saw the creature as it was being led from the Peanut Gallery even before the Actually Important Around Whom Things Actually Do Revolve person arrived. That’s usually what happens to the poor MalNar, losers who lose reinforcing their, er, losing nature.

That’s all for now, from the MalNar Safari Tent here at Tammy Geographic, I’m Sadie Bruce. Good night, and good luck. Now scratch my back.

For the State of the Union

by Tammy on January 31, 2006 · 6 comments

For all of your live-blogging needs, Gay Patriot is the place to be. Also looks like Cindy Sheehan will be in the audience. That should be a real hoot. (HT Glenn)

And here is the Fox News advance coverage.

All begins at 6pm PT/9pm ET. I’ll probably chime in here during/after, and certainly look forward to your comments tomorrow on Tammy Radio.

During the speech, this is your thread for Comments. Here’s to the State of the Union. Good luck to President Bush. I just hope he doesn’t make my head explode too much over domestic issues. You’ll be the first to know!

One of the “Offending” Cartoons

The Religion of Ghouls has perfected the art of hostage taking and is now trying to intimidate, threaten and destroy an entire nation for “offending” Islam with…cartoons. And this is not just a plan by the Islamist Gestapo–but is now a Gestapo campaign mounted by the entire Arab region.

Nordic firm hit by Arab boycott

The Danish-Swedish dairy giant Arla Foods says its sales in the Middle East have plummeted to zero as a result of a row over cartoons published in Denmark. The firms said it had to lay off 100 people because of the fall in demand…

Besides boycotts, the backlash has also included diplomatic sanctions and Islamic militant threats. The Danish foreign ministry advised against non-essential travel to Saudi Arabia and urged Danes to be cautious in other Muslim countries.

“Danes who choose to stay in Saudi Arabia should show extraordinarily high watchfulness,” it said on its website. Saudi Arabia has recalled its ambassador to Denmark, while Libya said it was closing its embassy in Copenhagen. On Monday masked gunmen briefly stormed the local office of the EU in Gaza, demanding apologies from Denmark and Norway, where a paper reprinted the cartoons.

Timeline of the Muslim/Arab Gestapo:

31 January: Paper apologises
30 January: Gunmen raid EU’s Gaza office (pictured)
29 January: Libya says it will close its embassy in Denmark
28 January: Danish company Arla places advertisements in Mid-East newspapers trying to stop a boycott
26 January: Saudi Arabia recalls its ambassador
20 January: Ambassadors in Denmark of 10 Muslim countries complain to the Danish PM

I have argued for ages that the mental illness of Islamism which seeks to punish and destroy people is limited in scope to the Islamofascists. With this situation, I am reconsidering that position.

And here’s a Newsflash for Islamofacists everywhere: You are not, nor will you ever be, the arbiters of worldwide culture. Not every country is Islamist, not every culture holds your worldview, not every country will bend to your fundementalist peccadilloes, and not everyone is offended by depictions of Muhammad, whether or not he has a bomb in his turban. Why? Because most of us are not Muslim, we don’t think the Koran is holy (because we’re not Muslim) and we aren’t stuck in the Stone Age, that’s why. Get used to it.

The Danish newspaper editor who published the Cartoons that Launched a Thousand Fatwas is standing up to the Islamic Gestapo.

As protests continued for a second day in Gaza with shouts of “Death to Denmark”, Flemming Rose, the culture editor of the centre-right daily newspaper Jyllands-Posten, sat in his book-lined office declaring his surprise at the reaction.

He said that he had to stand his ground because, as in the Salman Rushdie affair, freedom of speech was being threatened. “There is a lot at stake. It would be very naive to think this is only about Jyllands-Posten and 12 cartoons and apologising or not apologising.

“This is about standing for fundamental values that have been the (foundation) for the development of Western democracies over several hundred years, and we are now in a situation where those values are being challenged,” he said.

“I think some of the Muslims who have reacted very strongly to these cartoons are being driven by totalitarian and authoritarian impulses, and the nature of these impulses is that if you give in once they will just put forward new requirements.”

Exactly. Exactly. Read the whole article. This man is on of the heroes as all Danes deserve your support and respect. Send them your prayers and good vibes. We are all obviously in the midst of a World War, with efforts to maintain and defend Western values one of the most important fronts.

I couldn’t believe this, even in this day and age when we should believe just about everything, but here it is. Courtesy of Charles at Little Green Footballs, Islamist terrorists now want the Spanish city of Seville returned to Islam:

Hamas demands return of Seville in internet children’s magazine

The children’s website Al Fateh, property of the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, demands in its most recent issue the return of the Spanish city of Seville to the “lost paradise” of Al Andalus, as the Muslim part of Spain was called during its existence between 711 and 1492. The web magazine, whose name means “conqueror,” says it is for “the young builders of the future.” …

“The lost paradise of Al Andalus,” explicitly mentioned in the text, is a common meme in the Muslim world. It has led to concrete fatwas declared in order to recover territories conquered by Christian “infidels,” such as that of three years ago by the Islamist sheik Yousef Al-Qaradhawi, which explicitly says that “Islam will return to Europe as the conqueror.” Al-Qaradhawi is the leader of the European Council for Fatwa and Research, the president of the International Association of Muslim Scholars, and the spiritual leader of many other Islamist organizations around the world.

Lovely. I wonder if Spain is confused by the fact that their abandoning the people of Iraq has done absolutely nothing to protect them from the Islamist ghouls.

Perhaps they have a bit more respect for the Winston Churchill adage:

An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile – hoping it will eat him last.

The Religion of Ghouls

Jill-carroll-weeping.jpg

Look at what these sadistic Islamist freaks are putting Jill Carroll through. They have released their latest scream-fest featuring this young woman. Anyone who still questions the moral justification of the WoT and the need to completely vanquish these modern day monsters should offer themselves up to take Carroll’s place.

Any takers? Barbra Streisand? Joel Stein? Christianne Amanpour? Cindy Sheehan? Yoo hoo…

Hope you can tune in.

This also means blogging will be light until early this evening, so please feel free to consider this your open thread for the day :)

UPDATE:

Stacy at BlogforBooks has been kind enough to post the video.

And remember, O’Reilly repeats at 8pm PT/11pm ET.

UPDATE: Yes, you regulars have seen this post before with its original date of Jan 25, but I wanted to move it up as it’s the subject matter of my appearance on the Factor tonight. Scroll down for a further update as well.

All of us at one point or another have realized that a Leftist crowing “I support the troops, but…” is indeed b.s. While I would generally never suggest that a dissenter over American policy doesn’t love this nation, when it comes to the left’s attacks on the WoT and support for the enemy, it’s a whole different ball game.

They hate this country, Western civilization and perhaps even humanity because they hate themselves. This destructive based hate is a keystone to malignant narcissism.

So, when Joel Stein wrote his column, “Warriors and Wusses” in the Los Angeles Times saying he doesn’t support the troop I wasn’t surprised by the sentiment, but was by his honesty. And just because the guy is honest doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be summarily rejected as one of the more depraved Mal Nars–after all, at least the Leftists who lie and say they support the troops have remained somewhat aware of the impact of saying otherwise. This guy, on the other hand, cares so little he doesn’t even bother to give our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, the support they deserve.

After the appropriate fallout, he is now defending his column. (HT Lucianne)

LOS ANGELES, Jan 24 (Reuters) – A Los Angeles Times columnist who infuriated conservatives by writing that he does not support American troops fighting in Iraq — and calling those who do “wusses” — stood by the article on Tuesday.

Joel Stein said he has been “bombarded” by hate mail over the incendiary article — which was headlined “Warriors and Wusses” and held that U.S. soldiers in Iraq were “ignoring their morality” — but does not regret writing it and stands by the premise.

It might, after all, “embarrass” kids who don’t know what they’re doing. Yeah, it’s better to make sure kids feel good about themselves so when they graduate as illiterates at least they’ll be arrogant, confident illiterates.

With theories like this prevailing in public education, who needs Radical Islamists to destroy Western Civilization?

Jeff Jacoby at the Boston Globe does an excellent job putting the Hamas election sweep into perspective, and why it should be viewed as a very good thing indeed.

Hamas victory is good news

…I think the sweeping Hamas victory is by far the best result that could have been hoped for.

I say that not because Hamas is anything other than a blood-drenched terrorist group, but because its lopsided win is an unambiguous reality check into the nature of Palestinian society. And if there is one thing that the West badly needs, it is more realism and less delusion about the Palestinians.

And he puts into perfect perspective President Bush’s absolutely absurd comments about the election:

”Obviously, people were not happy with the status quo,” Bush explained. ”The people are demanding honest government. The people want services. They want to be able to raise their children in an environment in which they can get a decent education and they can find healthcare. And so the elections should open the eyes of the old guard there in the Palestinian territories. . . . There’s something healthy about a system that does that.”

Spare us, Mr. President. If a slate of neo-Nazi skinheads swept to power in a European election, would you say that the voters were seeking ”honest government” and ‘’services”? Palestinians are not stupid, and it insults their intelligence to pretend that when they vote to empower a genocidal organization with a platform straight out of ”Mein Kampf,” what they’re really after is better healthcare. Islamist extremism isn’t needed to fix Palestinian hospitals any more than fascism was needed to make Italian trains run on time in the 1920s. If Palestinians turned out en masse to elect a party that unapologetically stands for hatred and mass murder, it’s a safe bet that hatred and mass murder had something to do with the turnout.

Indeed. Read the whole thing.
