Consider this terrorist’s attitude, and others like him no doubt, who consider Sharon’s stroke a “gift from God,”

Via the AP/The Globe and Mail:

A radical Palestinian leader [AP still finds that 'terrorist' label too unpleasant--ed.] in Damascus, the Syrian capital, called the stroke a gift from God.

“We say it frankly that God is great and is able to exact revenge on this butcher. … We thank God for this gift he presented to us on this new year,” Ahmed Jibril, leader of the Syrian-backed faction Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command, a small radical group, told the Associated Press.

If God kills people as punishment, perhaps Islamist terrorists would be better off considering a story like this also from today:

Building collapse kills haj pilgrims in Mecca

At least 15 Muslim pilgrims were killed and around 40 were injured today when a hostel collapsed in Mecca, three days before the official start of the haj, the pilgrimage which brings more than two million Muslims to the Saudi city every year.

The eight storey Luluat al-Khair hostel, which was situated close to the Grand Mosque, the holiest site in Islam, caught fire and collapsed just before the end of midday prayers. Several passers by were among the dead.

Gee, and it even collapsed on them in the middle of the morning prayer! Sounds like statement to me, if I were to think that God personally decides who is going to die and how. So if you’re one of those “Palestinian” sympathizers who think Sharon’s illness is brought by God, you’ve got some serious soul-searching to do. You can start with what God had in mind with the Indonesian tsunami which killed over a quarter of a million people, mostly Muslim, and the Kashmir/Pakistan earthquake which also killed tens of thousands of Muslims.

I personally don’t believe that God presides over the bad things that happen to anyone. To think so is the ultimate in narcissism. Think about it–you believe everything that happens because of you–even random events based in nature occur because of your actions, or to punish you personally, or to benefit you personally. Because God does what he does because of you.

Leftist extremists think this way, as do religious radicals of all stripes, manifesting especially worldwide by Radical islamists, the sickest of humanity.

Every time a friggin’ “palestinian” opens his/her mouth, I want to wrap duct tape around my head, to prevent it from exploding. They are the most hateful, hate-filled, backwards bunch of savages this world has ever known. The fact that they see Sharon’s illness as God striking him down for being a “butcher”, shows how warped their senses of reality are. But, in the same breath, they call those of their ilk “martyrs” when one of them bites the dust. And Arafat was the king martyr, which is almost amusing, if it weren’t so sick. I need a drink – maybe I’ll go to Canada and become a homeless alcoholic!!

Lest we forget the lessons of history… what we see with fundamentalist Muslims and their rabid fanaticism is not new. Just ask any soldier or sailor who fought the Japanese during WW2. And while we’re at it, let’s remember how we had to ultimately deal with that sort of fanaticism in order to defeat it and expung it from the culture of the Japanese. We had to totally break their will to continue to fight. Nothing less would suffice.

It isn’t just leftists who have this narcisistic belief system. Our old buddy Pat Robertson is pretty much echoing the sentiment.

The Reverend Pat Robertson says Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s massive stroke could be God’s punishment for giving up Israeli territory.

The founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network told viewers of “The 700 Club” that Sharon was “dividing God’s land,” even though the Bible says doing so invites “God’s enmity.”

Robertson added, “I would say woe to any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course.”

He noted that former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated.

Robertson said God’s message is, “This land belongs to me. You’d better leave it alone.”

As a conservative and a christian I really wish Pat would just shut his fat mouth.

Which part of “religious radicals of all stripes” did you miss? hehehe! Just teasin’. Seriously, we all know any extreme is bad. It just so happens that the left in this country is extreme, at this moment in time. There’s a reason they aren’t in power, and hopefully, never will be in my lifetime. When they stop acting like our enemies, they may win an election or 2.

Make no mistake, radical Islam which infects millions will not rest until Israel is no more. No amount of land given to the Palestinians, no amount of appeasement will quench the demonic hatred they have for the Israelis. A hatred taught as a matter of course from childhood in their public schools. Our European ancestors have had to deal with them in the past and it is obvious that we will have to do it again.

After a careful examination of Biblical prophecies I do believe we are in the “last days” and that the Jews are God’s timepiece for the events taking place. The world’s attention will be increasingly focused on Israel.

It would be a terrible mistake for anyone to get the misguided notion that all religions are inherently fanatic. Let’s not forget the many thousands of Christians all over the world right now risking their lives and suffering hardships to feed the hungry and clothe the naked.

Remember too that Palestinians danced in the streets when the towers and Pentagon were hit. And in the same breath ask why the Americans don’t support them. These are the same people that want a UN resolution condemning Israel every time there is a surgical strike that takes out a terrorist but refuse to acknowledge anything wrong with suicide bombing a bus full of civilians. They are arrogant narcissists and remind me of a petulant child. Israel has shown remarkable restraint, in my opinion.

For a minute, there, Fleet Sailor, I thought you were referring to the fringe left in this country.

  8. Warthog says:

What really sickens me is when they (palestinians)dress their little babies as suicide bombers. They even show their children hate filled cartoons that glorify killing Jews. Golda Meir once said “There will only be peace when they love their children more than they hate us.”

    LESBIANNEOCON,
OK, my face is red. I read the post in a bit of a hurry the first time.

LNC, I wasn’t thinking of the left when I made that comment, but …if the shoe fits…;)

Political_Junkie – No worries – I was just joshin’ you!

    and

Fleet Sailor – That’s exactly my point – it’s harder and harder to tell the difference between a leftist and the enemy anymore!!!
