Nordic firm hit by Arab boycott
The Danish-Swedish dairy giant Arla Foods says its sales in the Middle East have plummeted to zero as a result of a row over cartoons published in Denmark. The firms said it had to lay off 100 people because of the fall in demand…
Besides boycotts, the backlash has also included diplomatic sanctions and Islamic militant threats. The Danish foreign ministry advised against non-essential travel to Saudi Arabia and urged Danes to be cautious in other Muslim countries.
“Danes who choose to stay in Saudi Arabia should show extraordinarily high watchfulness,” it said on its website. Saudi Arabia has recalled its ambassador to Denmark, while Libya said it was closing its embassy in Copenhagen. On Monday masked gunmen briefly stormed the local office of the EU in Gaza, demanding apologies from Denmark and Norway, where a paper reprinted the cartoons.

I have argued for ages that the mental illness of Islamism which seeks to punish and destroy people is limited in scope to the Islamofascists. With this situation, I am reconsidering that position.
And here’s a Newsflash for Islamofacists everywhere: You are not, nor will you ever be, the arbiters of worldwide culture. Not every country is Islamist, not every culture holds your worldview, not every country will bend to your fundementalist peccadilloes, and not everyone is offended by depictions of Muhammad, whether or not he has a bomb in his turban. Why? Because most of us are not Muslim, we don’t think the Koran is holy (because we’re not Muslim) and we aren’t stuck in the Stone Age, that’s why. Get used to it.

Not too long ago, political cartoonist Doug Marlette drew another “offensive” cartoon, “What would Mohammed drive?” (a parody of the “What would Jesus drive?” question that had been making the rounds). You can see that cartoon, and documentation of the subsequent controversy, on Doug’s web site.
Contrast this against the relative equanimity with which Christians have dealt with some rather extreme and intentionally-offensive government-sponsored trash. Does anyone remember “Piss Christ” or “The Holy Virgin Mary”? A number of Christians quite properly questioned how such things could be supported by government resources, but it was a situation that Christians could deal with or live with without resorting to murder.
Okay, now I’m getting confused. I’ve found this page that appears to be the Danish paper’s apology (take a look). Here’s a selected quote:
In other words, they seem to be claiming that they simply published a dozen portraits, rather than anything “offensive”. So is this example with the bomb on the head that Tammy has posted really one of the 12, or is it one of the counterfeits that this “apology” refers to?
And where are all those pictures, anyway? I’ve seen a number of references to the news story, but I haven’t noticed anybody posting the pictures in all their glory. I admit I haven’t looked hard, but I’m getting more curious.

It is time to wake up and realize that Islam ITSELF, meaning the ideology as expressed in the Koran, Hadith and Sira is totalitarian and fascist.
There is no such thing as moderate Islam (see Ibn Warraq). So-called “moderate” Muslimsare those that have not yet totally lost their humanity (see Ali Sina).
The most charitable thing one can say is that a Muslim who does not behead Christian girls walking to school does not know the contents of the Koran, but that only shows the extent of the brainwashing. Scratch the surface of a “moderate” Muslim and ask them what they REALLY believe. Try it and see for yourself.
There is nothing written anywhere that says that we in the US must accept Islam as a valid religion and give it the protection that Judaism and Christianity receive. As a matter of fact, Islam blasphemes Judaism and Christianity IN THE KORAN in the same breath that it claims that the holy books of those two religions are forgeries. Muslims continually say that all they do is pray to Allah 5 times per day. Well their god, named Allah says “Kill the Infidels wherever you find them” (read Surah 9).
This is not a Wahabbi thing, a militant thing, a radical thing or a fundamentalist thing. This is all about Islam itself, the same Islam that killed 60-80 million Hindus around the years 900-1100. When Islam was the baddest bully on earth it cared not what anyone thought about it. It killed, conquered and enslaved much of the formerly civilized world. It destroyed the Persian and Byzantine civilizations.
Islam is evil and it must be banned.
