Every now and then it’s a good thing to point out the behavior of the Malignant Narcissist in our midst. The MalNar is a creature for all seasons, as it peeks out of its hole, and surveys its surroundings. One actually emerged just prior to the State of the Union address tonight. How, how, how, it muses, can it make an event about itself? “How,” it mutters to itself, “can I prove to everyone around me that it’s all about me, me, me meeeeeeeee!???!!!!!!!!!!”

As the creature, which is seen in both the daylight and nighttime hours, ponders its options, it remains completely ignorant of its MalNar-ness, as it plods along cluelessly truly believing that everything revolves around it, is about it, or will be made to be about it, and only it.

The rarer of the species, the “Cindy Sheehan,” is also one of the more clueless of the species. Tonight we saw the creature try to make the SOTU all about her, and well, her timing was just a little off.

Already relegated to the Peanut Gallery inside the Capitol chamber, (with friends like Lynne Woolsey who needs a bad ticket agent?), the creature was removed from the gallery for wearing a protest/statement t-shirt. It’s a shame when every “activist” worth his or her salt knows that heckling the conservative speaker is a much more effective way to try make everything about you.

But, as we at Tammy Geographic have noted, the “Cindy” of the MalNar species is rare because well, it’s also a little slower than the rest. We last saw the creature as it was being led from the Peanut Gallery even before the Actually Important Around Whom Things Actually Do Revolve person arrived. That’s usually what happens to the poor MalNar, losers who lose reinforcing their, er, losing nature.

That’s all for now, from the MalNar Safari Tent here at Tammy Geographic, I’m Sadie Bruce. Good night, and good luck. Now scratch my back.

Since Chavez called President Bush “Mr. Danger” a couple days ago I wonder what his nickname for Ms. Cuckoo for Coco Puffs must be.

    [LOL!--ed.]

  2. If Congress had any balls….they’d censure Woolsey for that little stunt.

I don’t believe for one second that she didn’t know what Sheehan was up to. I’m sure they both had a good little tee-hee laugh before the speech.

Dissent all you want….but for gawd’s sake at least have the common courtesy not to do it during the State of the Union address. Contrary to some, we’re not a freakin’ banana republic here.

Once again, a Democrat proves that they have absolutely no class whatsoever.

    Positively pathetic.

  3. Clarion says:

Gee, Sheehan makes the likes of H.R. and Wm.J. Clinton, T.Kennedy, J.F.Kerry, H.Reid, D.Durbin, R.Byrd, G. Soros, et al seem as “moderate” and “sensible” democrats. Hmm – what a means to deflect the light of reality away from true darkness. Look for Sheehan to make many more appearances – in spite of reality …

  4. PeteRFNY says:

The Dems, in general, were their usual infantile selves. From the hooting and hollering during the SOTU, to the talking-head wonks on the post-address shows, it becomes more and more obvious that the Dems have no vision, no plan, no anything. They have regressed to being nothing more than a contradiction to anything the Bush administration does – that IS their agenda. So much so that they happily get in bed with a selfless opprotunist like ME-han. It’s pathetic.

On a positive note, here’s a link to a letter by the father of Marine Sgt. Daniel Clay to President Bush, along with the letter of Sgt. Clay which the President quoted last night. Both letters are very moving…. http://marinecorpsmoms.com/archives/opinions/index.html#000777

For “some” reason the media doesn’t give nearly as much attention to people like Sgt. Clay’s father as it does to Cindy Sheehan. Its very sad to compare how the media talked a lot about American military heroes during World War II, with the way the media trumpets anti-war people so much today. Now we almost never see coverage about our real heroes of the wars today in Iraq and Afghanistan.

  6. aegil says:

Yes, Peterfny, I was struck also by how juvenile the Democrats acted while observing the SOTU address. Their silly behavior when the President mentioned Social Security reform was very telling. And such scowls, smirks and twittering! And as others have mentioned, where are their positive alternatives?! As you mentioned, their main driving force seems to be to “get Bush.”

  7. XB234C says:

The sitting on of hands during certain points in the speech that they disagree with is standard fare for these occasions from both sides of the aisle. What stood out is the fact that if Cindy had gone in there and acted like an adult she would’ve gotten more face time during the SOTU than Bush, but she couldn’t help herself.

Watching the clip that showed Ms. Sheehan and president Chavez fauning over each other brought on severe and instant nausea. It pointed up the danger of watching the tube while eating. This from someone that is a health care pro—which is defined as someone who can munch on a doughnut while carrying a bedpan. I DO have a stong stomach, but not strong enough for such grossly repugnant scenes. Ms. Sheehan and her ilk bring to mind another term that fits like a glove—-”felonious stupidity”. Incapable of honest debate? Then appeal to emotion. Lack the smarts to analyze issues? Then resort to baseless accusations, not forgetting of course to be shrill. If you are shrill, then you’ll have credibility with the lunatic fringe. Extremists of all stripes are functionally intellectually impaired because they are politically psychotic. Did I just coin a neologism?

  9. aegil says:

“Sitting on their hands” is one thing, XB234C, which I don’t object to, but the behavior of many Democrats in the audience last night was often more active–juvenile and petty for instance in the way they reacted to the President’s comments about Social Security reform. They were applauding themselves for being obstructionist, which is something the media used to pounce on with a fury when the Republicans were the guilty party.

And my goodness, remember how so many in the media would talk about the President’s supposed smirking? “Smirking” would be too polite a word to describe many of the Democrats’ behavior, giggling and twittering away during parts of the speech, from what I saw on FoxNews. I know this isn’t the most important issue facing us, but it seems to reflect how so many spoiled, stuck-in-the-60′s Baby Boomers are running that party (I guess I can say that since I’m a Baby Boomer :-)

And here’s what that sterling character, Pete Stark had to say about the Sheehan incident (from “The Corner” at nationalreview.com)….

‘”I’m still trying to find out why the president’s Gestapo had to arrest Cindy Sheehan in the gallery. … It shows he still has a thin skin,” said Rep. Pete Stark, D-Fremont.’

  10. PeteRFNY says:

    “Gestapo tactics”.

I wonder what would happen to Ms. Sheehan if she were a woman in Iran speaking out against Ahmadinejad.

Something somewhat worse than being removed from an auditorium before she could make a spectacle out of herself, I’m guessing.

  11. XB234C says:

Good point Aegil. At what point they sit on their hands during the speech is always an illustrative experience for me each year but yeah, the smirking etc. could be considered over the top by American standards. What’s fun to watch is the Parliment in Britain on C-Span.

  12. Carpediem says:

What a shame it is that Cindy Sheehan is using the death of her son to further her deplorable antics. Has she no shame ?

  13. Vikki says:

You’d think that even a narcissistic activist invited to such a prestigous and high profile event would want to conduct themselves in a way that keeps them in the game so they can advance their own power as well as support for their agenda, i.e., dress and behave appropriately and be poised to take advantage of media when the time comes.

Cindy knows she would have been noticed by media (she didn’t need to get thrown out of the Capital at the State of the Union address to do so) and would probably have been approached for comments afterwards. I’m just mystified as to what she thinks she really accomplished. This was so clearly not the time and place for that kind of sideshow.

  14. JamInPA says:

Laughably…her side of the story. I found this linked from Drudge Report.

  15. aegil says:

I agree about watching the British Parliament program on C-Span, XB234C! Its always very entertaining! Nerd that I am, I’ve started taping them most Sunday evenings.

And I didn’t mean to make too big of a deal about the Dems’ behavior, but a lot of them did seem over-the-top by SOTU standards.

  16. Mike S. says:

“What a shame it is that Cindy Sheehan is using the death of her son to further her deplorable antics. Has she no shame ?”

What have you given for the war? Bumper stickers don’t count.

  17. She didn’t give anything. Casey signed & reenlisted of his own free will.

  18. Actually, Cindy’s starting to remind me of Linda Lovelace, another disturbed woman whose illness was abetted by ‘progressives’ – in her case the antiporn feminists who told her all her bad decisions were the fault of the patriarchy. Like Cindy & the Angry Left, it was in the feminazis’ interest that Lovelace stay stuck in her neuroses & not take responsibility for her bad judgment

  19. Russ says:

CARPEDIEM: Excellent short-and-to-the-point entry 1 February. After reading all other entries, here’s my take:
It certainly appears that this is mostly for and about Cindy—-another repugnant example of malignant narcissism. Most of my liberal friends are repelled by this woman and do not relate to her on any level and that includes sympathy for her loss. In their opinion, that is because she isn’t behaving as though she really experienced a loss. I do feel sympathy for her loss, but this by no means gives license for her grossly exploitative behavior.
