Fox News Monday

On my way to Fox for my usual Monday morning appearance at about 10:30am ET (7:30am PT).

Looks like we'll be discussing Rep. Peter King's (R-NY) call for a criminal investigation and prosecution of the New York Times for violating the espionage act by revealing our nation's secrets to the world. On Tammy Radio we've all been calling for the NYT to face criminal prosecution for which many say is a treasonous compromising of government secrets during a time of war.

Hot Air
has the video of Rep. King on Fox News Sunday revelaing his call to the Attorney General asking for the investigation. Se. Arlen Specter was also on the program kissing the collective kiester of the MSM after the King statement. Pathetic.

Attorney General Gonzales had better begin to move on this, or one of the Bush administration's legacies will be that of allowing leftist newspaper editors to freely and without repercussion do the bidding of the enemy here at home.

Michelle Malkin has a roundup of all the blabbermouth coverage.

Thank you Tammy, great job this morning in telling it like it is spoken so well as always. Jim's brain was really on drugs this morning. It was as if he practiced what he was going to say because he made no sense, only a cheap shot at you with no reasoning behind it. Hmm. This needs to be investigated because I do see treason in what the NYT did. They are contributing in the attempt to overthrow our government during this time of war by assisting our enemy and telling the whole world about it to boot. Peter King is also calling it what it is , arrogant leftism. Anything to undermind our effort to combat our enemy because that makes President Bush look bad. You let them have it Tammy, damn straight. Good job.

Check out this letter to the NYT, compliments of
http://www.powerlineblog.com

"Dear Messrs. Keller, Lichtblau & Risen:

Congratulations on disclosing our government's highly classified anti-terrorist-financing program (June 23). I apologize for not writing sooner. But I am a lieutenant in the United States Army and I spent the last four days patrolling one of the more dangerous areas in Iraq. (Alas, operational security and common sense prevent me from even revealing this unclassified location in a private medium like email.)

Unfortunately, as I supervised my soldiers late one night, I heard a booming explosion several miles away. I learned a few hours later that a powerful roadside bomb killed one soldier and severely injured another from my 130-man company. I deeply hope that we can find and kill or capture the terrorists responsible for that bomb. But, of course, these terrorists do not spring from the soil like Plato's guardians. No, they require financing to obtain mortars and artillery shells, priming explosives, wiring and circuitry, not to mention for training and payments to locals willing to emplace bombs in exchange for a few months' salary. As your story states, the program was legal, briefed to Congress, supported in the government and financial industry, and very successful.

Not anymore. You may think you have done a public service, but you have gravely endangered the lives of my soldiers and all other soldiers and innocent Iraqis here. Next time I hear that familiar explosion -- or next time I feel it -- I will wonder whether we could have stopped that bomb had you not instructed terrorists how to evade our financial surveillance.

And, by the way, having graduated from Harvard Law and practiced with a federal appellate judge and two Washington law firms before becoming an infantry officer, I am well-versed in the espionage laws relevant to this story and others -- laws you have plainly violated. I hope that my colleagues at the Department of Justice match the courage of my soldiers here and prosecute you and your newspaper to the fullest extent of the law. By the time we return home, maybe you will be in your rightful place: not at the Pulitzer announcements, but behind bars.

Very truly yours,

Tom Cotton
Baghdad, Iraq"

One would expect at least the same degree of outrage from the Liberal camp over this disclosure as there was with the Valerie Plame incident, but it seems not to be the case. Our elected officials in DC need to be barraged with emails, calls and letters expressing outrage and demands for prosecution, and Liberal politicians that support this type of conduct need to be voted out of office. This disclosure will cost some people somewhere their lives. The 'scent and tracks' of some terrorist cells will now go cold and be lost thanks this seditious conduct. We will never know the full extent of the damage this has caused. It is apalling.

It's time to take the gloves off both in Iraq, and here against the Marxist Left that is trying to destroy this country. We need to squash the insurgency over in Iraq like a bug just like we would have with the enemy during WW II. In addition, we need to squash the enemy within this country with a vengeance too. We are at war. We may not like the fact, but that's the way it is. This latest "leak" is in my humble opinion, the last straw. It's time for the Bush administration to show that it has some spine and start purging our intelligence agencies of the anti-American element that is imbedded within their midst. While the editors of the New York Times should be prosecuted under some provision of the Espionage Act of 1917, the brunt of the prosecutions should be those enemies of America that are working to destroy this country from within our government agencies. These people have taken oaths and have signed non-disclosure statements. They also have the highest level security clearances. They are nothing but traitors. They need to be smoked out, prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and if convicted, hanged. The only way to stop this subversion of our government is going to be by using Draconian measures.

Imagine if the Times had printed in early 1942 that the naval intelligence had broken the Japanese code and disclosed that Nimitz knew about the Japanese plans for Midway. How many sailors would have died becaouse of that disclosure? How much longerwould the war have lasted? We would have been outraged at the paper and would have prosecuted the Times management for treason. I see little difference today with the disclosure by the Times. They are guilty of treason or at the least aiding and abetting the enemy. The NYT sees Bush as the enemy is the problem, not the Islamofascists.

Just my opinion.
