Andrea Marcovicci Links

Marcovicci2100604.jpg

**I"ve bumped this up because tonight, Saturday, is the last night of her gig at the Gardenia in Hollywood. You can make dinner/show reservations by calling 323-467-7444, or arrive for the 9pm show by about 8:30pm to guarantee a seat**

Just had Andrea on the show, and wanted to quickly get you the link to her new Christmas CD and her performance at the Gardenia, details of which are at her very own website.

And make reservations for her September 20-23 gig at the Gardenia in Los Angeles early as she sells out. I sometimes end up having to hang out in the bar. God forbid ;)

Tammy,
I love Anrea Marcovicci's singing. I even have her first recording. But I think she was a little off the mark in calling "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" a "silly song." The song was written by Isaac Watts, one of the most revered Protestant hymn writers. But as the old radio preacher, J. Vernon McGee once said, it may be better sung at Easter rather than Christmas since Christ was not born as a king. It's a great song, but might be better sung by Andrea Bocelli than Miss Marcovicchi. And I don't mean that as an insult to her.
Love ya, babe,

Tammy raved & raved about Andrea Marcovicci on the air yesterday, so I went and bought the Christmas and WWII cds. Seeing as I agree with most everything Tammy says, plus her on-air personality absolutely cracks me up, how can I go wrong? If Tammy likes it, I probably will too. The snippets of Marcovicci's songs Tammy played had that smoky, seen-it-all, yet still yearning quality that is sadly sweet, and very alluring.
