Dear Barbra: Get a Bra

You'd think with that particular item actually built into her name, she'd know to wear one. There are some women who must, must wear a bra. And in some instances, a gag also, but that's another story. (HT Drudge)

In January, Drew Barrymore made a similar sartorial faux pas. In the meantime, let's just hope Babs doesn't hit any speedbumps on the way home.

And by the way, since my post on Drew she has apparently undergone breast-reduction surgery. Good for her. Obviously Americans are sold the idea that huge breasts are a good thing, an idea perpetuated by men who don't have to wear the things. Being Italian from the neck down myself, I've always felt sorry for women who have felt compelled to mutilate themselves with implants, only to slowly find out how much of a menace having bowling balls on your chest really is. Nothing fits right, jackets don't hang properly, the weight takes a toll on the back, and forget about jogging or thinking you can wear one of those cute little MIa Hamm sports bras. Jogging for the full figured gal requires nothing less than the Wonder Woman Bustier. And if you like having men (and women for that matter) look you in the face when you're speaking to them, get used to saying "My face ius up here."

I suppose some women don't care, but for crying out loud, if you're considering implants, take a word from this Italian/Irish/troublemaker--don't mutilate yourself for some guy's Amazonian fantasy.

Good for you Tammy. Maybe Barbra is trying to keep up with her step daughter-in-law. I'm a guy who thinks women and men should be happy with what they come with. Sad story in my case...if you know what I mean.

Gah! I just printed out the pic of Babs and intend to show it to my husband in order to scare the bejeebers out of him before he leaves for work tonight. I'm such a loving wife. :)-
As far as breasts go, I will be the first to say that large ones are over-rated, and your comments, Tammy are right on!! Mine are all natural and I swear, I spend half my paycheck on bras! On the other hand, I'm sure I'm helping the economy in some way!
