Filling In for Rusty Humphries Natl Radio Program

Well, in just about 5 minutes I'll be filling in for fellow Talk Radio Network host Rusty Humphries. He's national and live from 6-9pm PT. Some of you get him from 7-10pm PT. Either way, I hope you're able to tune in, and if you're already a fan of Rusty's it'll be great sharing the evening with you.

You can also learn more about Rusty at his My Space page.

I just want to say I am an American. But there was a time before when the Brits marched stupidly into our guns. The Colonists were willing to fight and die for liberty. Although I don't understand what the suicide bombers are all about, they are willing to die for their cause. I know history repeats itself, but do we have to march stupidly into their guns? Is there another way?

For Mac38: I don't know if you were trying to draw comparisons between the Colonists and suicide bombers, but this is not at all a case of history repeating itself.

First of all, the Colonists began a new chapter in history by doing the unthinkable at that time: governing themselves; rising up and becoming independent of the British monarchy and basing the existence of the new country on the idea that a government for and by the people was a worthy experiment. America has proven to be the most successful 'experiment' the world has ever known. Furthermore, the cause of the Colonists was for liberty, which you correctly pointed out, and yes, they were willing to fight and die for it because freedom from British tyranny was worth the cost.

Contrast that with the suicide bombers who originate from countries that still thrive on the 1300's mindset, tyranny, the subjugation of women, the brainwashing of children (future recruits), and who are willing to invade the west in order to force us all to our knees and into mass graves. There is no cause for freedom at all nor is there an opportunity for individuals to govern their lives - or government. Just ask the millions who have been enslaved, not to mention murdered, by these savages.

Suicide bombers instill fear, disrupt the civilized world and take innocent lives with their own. Those who commit these acts of terror spend their entire lives with only one thing on their mind: killing anyone who does not submit to their murderous ideology and quest for the world. If that means they are to use their own lives to take others, then in their twisted view, that is their 'calling'. I urge anyone to see the movie, Obsession, if you're curious about what Islamic fascism is and what it has in store for the free world.

We are not marching 'stupidly' into their guns; they brought their 'guns' here on September 11, 2001. There is absolutely NO other way to deal with terrorists other than to destroy them before they destroy us.

The Islamic fascists have not made their intentions a secret at all. They really want us dead and they really want to change the map. These thugs will use ANY means to accomplish their evil vision and if we have not learned that by now, then we may very well be on our way to repeating history by allowing the Iranian Hitler, the NORK, Hezbollah and a slew of other Islamic fascists to fester and become larger problems than they already are.

Like you, Mac38, I'm an American, too. Whatever differences we have on this topic, let's be thankful we live somewhere we can agree or disagree and not have our throats slit over it. And let's pray we do not have to watch another group of Islamic Fascist suicide bombers take advantage of our open society and cause death and destruction to our nation ever again.

I believe in America and what the Colonists and other Americans since have fought and died to build and protect. I am thankful for the ability to openly voice my opinions. I'm just not that good at it.

I agree with you. What I am suggesting though is that our method of dealing with this kind of threat isn't going to work. I am afraid we have the same mentality as the Brits did when dealing with the Colonists. I don't believe even the mightiest military in the world can take down this enemy. I think we have been playing right into their hand.

I want those responsible for the attack of 9/11 destroyed. But it seems to me that this is the kind of beast that when you cut off its head it grows several more heads. We need to change our approach before this monster gets even stronger.

"Destroy them" is definitely the goal. However, I believe our lives and our money would be better spent helping to lift the regular people into our century. Somehow empower the women and educate the children. I wish I had the answers.

Thank you for responding to my comment.
