I admit that I haven't seen this movie and probably won't, but for some reason the premise doesn't seem to surprise me. Even today people in Hollywood and on the Left seem to think everyone else (including most of America) are idiots that need to be saved by their enlightened ideas. So this definitely sounds like a feel good movie for people on the Left.

Here's an idea for a movie premise. How about a scientist from a very successful free-market world of the future invents a time machine and returns to today and kidnaps a prominent Democratic politician (who just happens to look like Hillary Clinton). We get to witness the shock that these future liberty lovers experience everytime this politician suggests ideas to improve society. Now that's would be a movie worth seeing!
