The Anchoress has an excellent post taking a look at the background of Hugo Chavez’s rhetorical spew at the president and, consequently, all of us.
Chavez clearly listened to Dems and Air America
All Chavez is doing is repeating exactly the idiotic crap that the left has been spewing for 6 years. And the Democrats have who have encouraged the hate.
But maybe some on the left finally understand that while they’ve been having fun and laughing while calling President Bush every manner of ugly name and insult, dangerous people have been watching. And they have made a calculation: We can disrespect Bush and America will laugh with us. Bush is weak. America is once again the appeasing “weak horse†it was throughout the 1990’s and even before…when we could attack anything and be accountable to no one.
Excellent stuff and right on target. Read the whole thing.
This says it pretty well too….

And here’s a very disturbing article about the U.S. and the U.N., from the Wall Street Journal. It doesn’t include any big surprises, but it makes me wonder again, why the **** are we still putting up with the U.N.?!!….
http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110008978
I thought Chavez had one good idea that he espoused and that was to move the U.N. out of the U.S. Of course, he wanted it moved to Venezuela. And, why not? He could then cavort with them more easily.
I would also add that we should cut our funding of the U.N., post haste, and withdraw our services to bail the U.N. out on its global operations with out military.
I predict that it would not take the U.N. long to fold. The U.S. has underwritten this impotent organization for far too long.
You can’t depend upon us to be the enforcement are of the U.N., acting as the world police, and then get mad at us for actually policing the world like we have been expected to do for decades now.
Tammy,
It really is no suprise that Chavez has been loosed here in America. We truely have gone soft to let the likes of this rat and Ahmadinejad run rampant through the streets of New York.
As you asked earlier yesterday, “Where the heck is Condi Rice?” I would like to know where all of those people are. Are they hiding in their ready made bunkers waiting for the big one to go off? This sort of stuff makes me completely sick to my stomach, that we have come so far as a nation to allow this type of stupidity to take place.
We must continue to make news of this because those lemmings for CNN, CBS, etc seem to be bought off by Iran and the hard left socialists in our country.
Thanks for what you do Tammy,
God Bless
As for Rangel, at first I was dumbfounded to see that he would be offended by Chavez’s remarks…but as time goes on, seems like he’s just trying to cover his own butt and look like the good guy sticking up for the country and the ‘office’ of the president…Maybe Rangel and Pelosi realized (and I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt) that they sound just like Chavez in their comments about President Bush and just how awful it sounds…they are so consumed with their hate, that their immature hatred is dividing this country…
History is the only thing that will save George Bush…when people will look back and realize that he was ‘trying to protect our butts whether we liked it or not’ will he get the respect he deserves…I’m not saying that I agree with everything that he has done or not done (i.e. immigration) but as far as wanting to try and protect us from lunatics like Chavez, Saddam, and the Iranian President (I can’t spell his name!)I’m with him 100% of the way and glad it’s him in office and not John Kerry.
Hugo Chavez actually fits in quit nicely with the current leftwing of the Demo Party. There isn’t much difference between Hugo and people like Michael Moore, Cindy Sheehan, Jimmy Carter, Howeird Dean, Nancy Peloser, Harry Reid, Teddy Kennedy, and the rest of the creeps. Hugo could give the keynote address at the next Demo Connvention and be received very well. There isn’t 5 cents worth of difference between Michael Moore and Hugo Chavez (and the MSM and leftwing of the Demo Party drooled all over F-911).
I got pretty angry when I read what Chavez said about our president, but I’m even angrier that the White House had nothing to say about it. I later read in the newspaper that one reason for their lack of indignation was because President Bush and his crew didn’t want to ‘dignify’ Chavez’s comments with a responses. Does the White House really believe that by taking the high road,Chavez will think”Gee,maybe I was wrong about Prseident Bush. He could have lashed out at me but he didn’t. Hmmm,I may have to re-think my my whole opinion of him” NOT!! As soon as he made that devil comment, the White House should have revoked Chavez’s visa and invited him to leave!
