Here’s a newsflash for you: In his new tape, replete with little toy cannon, bookshelves and lamp, AQ #2 (and I don’t mean that in the nicest way), says he’s mad at Bush and the pope, and, in a nutshell (pun intended) if everyone doesn’t do as Islamists say, well, they’ll just kill everybody. He also does a pretty good job mimicking Pelosi, Murtha and Dean when it comes to rhetoric about President Bush and complaints about “torture.” My feeling? If the terrorists don’t like it, we shoul dkeep on doing it.

Zawahiri Attacks Bush in New Video Posted on Web

CAIRO, Egypt — The deputy leader of Al Qaeda called President Bush a failure and a liar in the war on terror in a video statement released Friday, and he compared Pope Benedict XVI to the 11th century pontiff who launched the First Crusade.

“Can’t you be honest at least once in your life, and admit that you are a deceitful liar who intentionally deceived your nation when you drove them to war in Iraq,” Ayman al-Zawahiri said in a portion of the video…”Bush, you deceitful charlatan, 3 1/2 years have passed since your capture of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, so how have you found us during this time? Losing and surrendering?” he said…

“Your agents in the Arabian Peninsula, Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan have captured thousands of the youth and soldiers of Islam whom you made to taste at your hands and the hands of your agents various types of punishment and torture,” al-Zawahiri said…

According to the IntelCenter, al-Zawahiri said Benedict is reminiscent of Pope Urban II, who in 1095 ordered the First Crusade to establish Christian control in the Holy Land.

About that last part, let’s hope so. About everything else, the leftist Dems should be awfully anxious that a depraved mass murderer who wants to destroy this country is saying exactly what they’re saying:

1) Bush is a liar

2) He lied about the reasons for the war in Iraq

2) We’re ‘losing’ the war in Iraq

3) Bush is a failure

4) America tortures people

5) Bush is a liar and a failure and a charlatan

6) Bush is a lying torturer

John at Powerline also notices that Zawahiri has a “keen awareness of the Democrats’ election themes.” Oh, and Zawahiri also told the pope to convert to Islam. Uh, yeah, I’m sure he’ll get right on that.

In the meantime, here’s the SITE page, which has done the initial translation, while Frank at IMAO has a world exclusive with the lines that have been cut from the video. Very, very enlightening that stuff is, I must say. And yes, to answer one of those lost Zawahiri lines, that grey beard does make you look gay. Hot air has the video.

    Very insightful!

But as per many of the known and reliable news sources like CNN and Fox news, it is an established fact that Iraq war had nothing to do with Taleban and 9/11. Does that mean that Zawahiri was right?

The “First Crusade” is a misnomer of liberal history, in my opinion. (With the liberal left’s control of public and higher education in the USA, it is ironically the LOSERS who are now writing history, these days).

Saying “First Crusade” makes it sound like the Christians hit first, when in actuality, they were just trying to get back into the Holy Land which had been overrun by Muslims via military force, who were occupying lands that had formerly been Christianized.

At any rate, it is a pretty weak argument to have to go back 1,000 years to argue points about who is, and is not, a violent aggressor in 2006.

Islam strikes first with terrorism, in the 1990s and 9/11, then the US and Western world responds, and the Western liberal media supports the terrorists saying the West is wrong to hit back!? Islamic terrorists and the Western liberal media are the enemies of the American way of life in 2006!

If the terrorists don’t want to be tortured, they should stop being terrorists. I think it should be part of world law that it is REQUIRED that all captured terrorists be tortured.

Let’s be certain where the extreme left of the Democratic Party stands. They are in favor of partial birth abortion where a murderer wearing a mask [oops, sorry], a “doctor” cuts open the back of the neck of a screaming innocent baby, then slices the spinal cord to induce death. That’s OK. On the other hand, they want to put a terrorist wearing a mask [oops, sorry again], a “freedom fighter” who blows innocent people up in a 4 star hotel with room service and all the perks. Then they say that the rest of us who don’t understnd their ways are simply naive and too ignorant to learn.

    Right.

    Hi, Tammy:

Wonder if you saw the book review on “State of Denial” written by Bob Woodward on “Slate” posted today. If so, I would very much like to read your comments about it. A Simon and Schuster leftist oreo cookie with lots of creamy Bush bashing, apparently!

Zawahiri could be the keynote speaker at the next Democratic Convention. He would fit right in and get standing ovations. He doesn’t sound any different than people like Jimmy Carter and Nancy Peloser. People like Ann Coulter have been saying all along that the Democratic Party is giving aid and comfort to the terrorists and when these guys make videos they use use the same language that the Democratic Party (except people like Joe Lieberman) use. What happens if the Democratic Party takes control of the WH and Congress when they are almost in complete agreement with people like Zawahiri? We will go back to pre-9/11 when we turn the war on terrorism back over to the local law enforcement people (people like the Boulder Police Department).

    Benedict?

How about St. Bernard, who exhorted his knights to slay the Saracen and Turkomen enemy as not being homicide, or killing of man, but as “malicide”, or the destruction of evil.

Dang — I think that is a close to accurate as it can ever get.
