Big Brother Wants Everyones DNA

If you're ever at a loss wondering what the Left has in store for the Western world, just look to our cousins across the pond. Very much like us, and saved by Margaret Thatcher in the 80s as we were saved by Reagan, having succumbed to socialism, like a window into the future, the English now present the best benchmark of the Left's actual agenda.

On today's plate: the British government now want to collect every single person's DNA into a database. Why? The specious and manipulative argument the Left always uses--because it'll make everyone safer.

DNA database 'should include all'

Tony Blair called yesterday for the national DNA database to be expanded to include every citizen.

He said there should be no limit on the development of the database because it was vital for catching serious criminals.

Tony Blair claimed during a trip to the Forensic Science Service in London that extended use of DNA had public backing. The Conservatives accused him of attempting to expand the DNA database by stealth and called for Parliament to vote on whether details of people who were innocent or not charged should be included against their wishes.

During a tour of the Forensic Science Service headquarters in London, he dismissed concerns of opposition politicians, saying the public backed the database because it was "helping us track down murderers, rapists".

Of course, the idea of police work combined with DNA data from criminals now apparently isn't enough. The truth of the matter is, a very small percentage of the population commit all the crime. If you're looking for rapists and murderers you're dealing with people who have most likely committed crime in the past, or will be picked up for something sooner than later. There's also that thing called old-fashioned police work--evidence on the scene, witnesses, knowing the neighborhoods, snitches, etc.

Tony Blair, and everyone else, knows this. But for a leftist government the idea of more control over the people (and collecting your DNA has got to be the ultimate thrill) is just too exciting.

A national DNA database is such an invasion into the ultimate privacy of the individual (our genetic code, for crying out loud!), there is no excuse to compel the average person to be included. As I noted above, there are other ways of conducting criminal investigations, other ways of finding rapists and murderers. Make no mistake, however--England is now the litmus tests for the worldwide left as it tests what generally educated people will surrender to, even in an age of a free press and mass communication.

It's one thing for despots to do this in pits like NoKo and Cuba. And quite another for the left and their draconian efforts to prevail in England, the Netherlands, or ultimately, the United States.

I guess I don't get why they would want to find rapists and murderers when they don't keep them in jail, or they let them off with barely any punishment.

A friend of mine is in the UK right now getting a PhD, and he told me this story...

"In August 2005 a woman living in the west end
of Newcastle called the police. She told the police that two men had broken into her house and tied her up with cords and that then they kicked her 4 month old son and set fire to him, killing him. The police realized after a while that her story didn't add up and she finally admitted that she had set fire to her baby herself. Yesterday was her sentencing day in court. The judge found her guilty of infanticide, but gave her a 3 year community service sentence INSTEAD of sending her to prison. He said that it was punishment enough that she would have to live the rest of her life knowing that she killed. So she basically got off scott free even though she lied to the police about the entire story and even though she MURDERED her own baby by SETTING IT ON FIRE!!!"

He has also told me how backward the justice system is there. How they are letting more and more severe crimes go unpunished because they don't have room in the prisons. Like you can rape someone and get off with a citation or community service.

So again, why would they need the DNA if they really aren't going to do anything about these crimes?

Thank God we still require "probable cause" in this country! We still do, don't we? Until Speaker Pelosi takes it away, at least.(Just Joking)

Well at least this method doesn't cramp your fashion style like those ugly serial number tattoos.

Just wait till they combine this with the carbon quotas. Fire up the furnace baby, we need to fight global warming.
