Filling In For Laura Ingraham Friday

Just a heads-up that I have the pleasure of filling in for Laura Ingraham on her radio program Friday/ Most of you know, of course, her program airs Monday thorugh Friday from 9am-12pm ET (6am-9am PT).

While I love filling in for Laura and speaking with her listeners, I come in on the heels of a tragedy many of us can relate to--her beloved dog Dr. Troy Ingraham has died. Many of you first got to know Troy on this blog when he got lost after Laura moved. He was found within short order, and all was well. Now with Troy's passing Laura is taking some personal time.

It is my honor to hold the fort for her tomorrow and hope you can tune in.

Thank you Tammy. You are a class act! I look forward to hearing you on Laura's show. Dr. Troy will be missed so deeply; but having you guide us through this and the various topics of the day will be fantastic. Does this mean I get a double shot of Tammy tomorrow? I better put my seat belt on!!!

Tammy,

I look forward to hearing you tomorrow.
Thanks for stepping in and helping out Laura. I am sure all of her listeners appreciate it. Losing a friend that has been such a big part of your life is tough. All of us with animals realize that one day we have to make that hard decision.

Hear you in the morning Tammy.

Tammy ... After 10 straight days of work, I get a day off. I turn on Laura's show and there YOU are! What a great surprise and a great treat.

Keep fighting the good fight. All of us "Tammycrats" across America love you!

Frankly, I was surprised Laura lasted out the day on Thursday.

BTW I didn't know Troy's full name... Dr. Troy Ingraham. Very impressive pup!

I heard you comment on Laura Ingram about Christianity, and about how you are not worthy of Christianity. That is true. I am not either. The Apostle Paul said that he wasn't either (1 Corinthians 15:9-10). In fact, in Romans 3:23 Paul wrote, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 6:23 says that the result of this sin is death in hell, but God on to say, "But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." You are unworthy to be a Christian, but Jesus died so that you could be. Please do not let this feeling separate you from this free gift of grace.

Hello Tammy,
I wanted to respond to a comment you made during your program this morning, covering for Laura Ingraham. You mentioned that you don't feel "worthy" to be a Christian. Can I ask a question: Who IS worthy? The answer is NO ONE. All of us sin and fall short of the glory of God. That's what is so wonderful about the redemptive salvation that Jesus provided for us on the cross. I have a few of examples of some pretty "unworthy" Christians. How about the thief that hung on the cross right next to Jesus. Was he worthy? Not at all, but as Jesus himself claimed "because you have BELIEVED, today you shall be with me in paradise". How about the apostle Paul? Worthy or not? NOT! He was a Christian killer, revered by the Romans. But because he BELIEVED in the salvation GIFT offered by Jesus on the road to Damascas, he became a forerunner of the Christian movement.

Jesus tells us the parable of the prodigal son. Ruined his life and squandered his inheritance on wild living, reducing himself to sharing meals from a pig trough. This story is a picture of the love that God has for us. We are his kids no matter what. There is no sin greater than any other. Ahd He waits with open arms for us to come running home to him, battered from this world.

I pray that you will continue a spiritual walk towards Jesus, and find that most wonderful relationship in him. There is truly nothing finer in this world. I leave you with this verse: "God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this, it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago" (Ephesians 3:8-10, New Living Translation)

God Bless you (and He really does love YOU).

I listened Thursday to Laura's show and heard how incredibly difficult it was for her to get through it. All to many of us forget Radio and TV personality's are people too. It may sound strange to many that you can can bond so deeply with a dog or any animal as Laura did with Troy. I wish it were possible to say to her the pain of the loss will subside in short order. Sadly it will not.

Tammy it is very difficult for you to pull a double and fill in for her to give her the time to collect her thoughts and morn. You are a pleasure to listen to and your talents equal and surpass Laura in many ways. As to the tenderness of your heart to this there is no question.

Tammy, I caught you on Laura's show yesterday. Wow! Someone on the radio that "gets it"! I will look forward to reading your book and listening to you more as I am able.

As for your not feeling "worthy" of the Christian religion. Unfortunately, in today's world we have many who would give you the impression that you need to somehow earn a place in God's family. This is not the message that Christ brought! Might I suggest that if you are interested you study the struggles of Martin Luther and his discovery of the doctrine of Grace. It's a terrific story and his discovery of the teachings of Paul in Galatians and Romans changed Christianity forever.

Keep up the great work! It's wonderful to have a true conservative out there speaking for us!

Tammy,
It was a pleasant surprise for me to hear you for the first time on Laura’s show yesterday. I was impressed to say the least.

I was in country for Tet 68 and you nailed it exactly as I have been telling people (they sometimes look at me like I’m crazy) for years. We took it back to them, inflicting nearly as many deaths in one month as we absorbed in the entire war.

I was quite surprised, in the aftermath, that WE had suffered this great setback and defeat, according to General Cronkite and his ilk. Thank you for expressing these facts to a much broader audience. Now they can look at you funny.

Still simmering after all these years,
gm

Mahmmoud I'm-a-dinner-jacket! LOL funny (fortunately I was alone in my car).

Great job filling in.

Tammy,

Please do not allow your feelings of not being worthy enough to be a Christian from stopping what clearly is the work of God in your life. Everyone, including Christians, experiences the feeling of not being worthy in the face of God's absolute Holiness and Righteousness. But you need to realize that the death of Jesus on the Cross was for the salvation of everyone. There is nothing you can do that cannot be forgiven through the Blood of Jesus. His grace is greater than your sin. Grace is undeserved favor. It cannot be earned or paid for.

Might I suggest going to John Hagee Ministries at www.jhm.org, and click on Plan of Salvation. It will help you with your walk towards Jesus.

You are one class act, and I know that Heaven will be a better place with YOU being there!!!
