It seems the idea of all that uncovered meat was too much him. Funny, it’s uncovered ice cream that does it to me.

Sheik on ‘indefinite leave’

Sheik Taj el-Din al Hilaly has asked to be placed on “indefinite leave” after collapsing today amid escalating calls for him to quit for comparing women to uncovered meat.

The sheik fainted at a meeting with the Lebanese Muslim Association that was to have decided his future. He was in Canterbury Hospital tonight with chest pains. In a two-page statement read to reporters on his behalf, he said: “The pressure of the last couple of days has had an obvious effect on my health and wellbeing. I ask the public to give my family and I some privacy, time and space to recover.

“I have also asked for indefinite leave from my duties at Lakemba Mosque.”

Gee, you think it might be a message from God? But what are the odds of that crossing his mind? Caveman is as caveman does.

It looks like he is like some sort of “Pope” for Australian Muslims!? The end of that article reads:

“To be the Mufti of Australia is life tenure,” Mr Zreika said. “Only he can resign willingly unless the community stands up and unanimously votes him out, and even then it’s up to him.”

That would be great if his illness were an act of God, but I suspect it is more of an act of Public Relations. He can now brow beat the media furor to die down in “sympathy,” and return when the incident is forgotten in a few months, or he can “save face” amongst Muslims and remove himself from office citing health reasons, not that he was forced out.

I’ve been telling friends and family about this story all weekend, and about the book AMERICA ALONE by Mark Steyn, because Steyn has a shrewd insight concerning the problems between Islam versus Western Civilization, and I heard about both this story and the Steyn book on TammyBruce.com, first!

Keep on keeping us informed, Tammy! I will do my part to inform my friends and family, too.

I’m sure that this guy will be portrayed by someone in the media as some sort of misunderstood soul that deserves our sympathy. He is actually a classic example of this brutal religion that wishes to subject it’s followers to the whims of Imams and other Islamic leaders. I continue to wait for leading muslims here and abroad to speak out against this sort of thing…nothing…absolute silence!
