After all, with news like this and this, and the news over the past five years, Muslims are the only group on Earth murdering Muslims like there’s no tomorrow. Oops.
And the horror of all this Mosque desecration! At some point, with their All-Consuming Seething about Islam being under attack, they’re going to have to declare the need to wipe themselves off the face of the map. And at the rate they’re going, that’s exactly what’s going to happen. Continuing to call the West the “Great Satan” is not only obvious projection, it’s also idiotically suicidal.
Our interest, of course, is the fact that they seem to want to take everyone else with them. If they want to obliterate themselves, fine. But what cannot be allowed is the destruction of civilization in the process.
** One more thought about that second news link, the one that covers the burning of Sunni worshippers alive. Note the key is Muqtada al-Sadr and his so-called Mahdi Army. I have been calling for years for us to take out that maniac Shiite thug al-Sadr. He is on Iran’s payroll, is known to have murdered other Muslims clerics before the war, and is the one carrying out Iran’s orders in Iraq. He is also responsible for the “sectarian” violence, which is the core of Iran’s efforts to cause civil war, and ultimately the annihilation of Iraq’s Sunni population. (Iran is Shiite, and the Iraq majority is Shiite). al-Sadr is nothing more than Iran’s hired mass-murderer. If we are serious about ‘stabilizing’ Iraq, the first thing we must do is eliminate al-Sadr, and I don’t mean arrested.

Tammy, that is a powerful message. I couldn’t agree with you more. You and I both know it isn’t going to happen, even if al Sadr is a key to ending the sectarian violence.
Where is the United Nations on all this? Is there no such thing as International Law anymore? Some of what these guys are doing makes Hitler and the Third Reich look like choirboys.

It reads rather peculiarly. Not like a timely story on a news event. More like a dissertation on the History Channel. It says Lebanon has a long record of assassinations. After discussing assassinations over the last 63 years, the story gets to the part where six anti-Syrian figures were killed in the past two years by a series of unexplained (??) bombings. “The anti-Syrian majority in Lebanon blames the Syrian regime for those killings, a charge Syria denies.†Hmmm.
Hey wait; isn’t “assassin†derived from Arabic? Let me look that up. Yes! It’s from Hashshashin, a religious sect active between the 8th and the 14th centuries. They, “specialized in terrorising the Abbasid elite with fearlessly executed, politically motivated assassinations. Their Muslim contemporaries were extremely suspicious of them.†[Wikepedia]
Hmmm again. Maybe it is something for the History Channel. And since I went to public school when they were still teaching history, I know that The Great Satan America was a long way off when those Hashahasin and Abbasids were squabbling.
