If Germany wishes to pursue this course in prosecuting Rumsfeld, I say we need to close all of our bases over there and redeploy every single American Military person there. After all, shouldn’t they be responsible for their own defense? Why are we there still? </p> <p>That war was over long ago. He also fought in Korea, where he and General MacArthur were betrayed by politics. He also saw active duty in the earliest stages of Vietnam, and had to stand by later in life to watch his duty and honor diminished by politicians back home. Seemed simple enough... democracy vs. communism, good vs. evil.
