Well, Pelosi thinks that once we leave Iraq that all the terrorist will leave and go back to Afganistan, and we can get them there...just think, we can follow them back to Bin Laden's cave...

“The point is this isn’t a war to win, it’s a situation to solve. And you define ‘winning’ any way you want, but you must solve this problem.”

                   Speaker of the House

.....for all those republicans that voted Dem or just stayed home,to protest President Bush, you might come to regret your decision.

Now that Rumsfeld has resigned, it sure didn't take lone for the left to run to Germany to prosecute him for "war crimes." If Germany wishes to pursue this course in prosecuting Rumsfeld, I say we need to close all of our bases over there and redeploy every single American Military person there. After all, shouldn’t they be responsible for their own defense? Why are we there still?

That war was over long ago. Why are we paying them billions in dollars every year just to be there to be slapped around symbolically by them. Our presence there is producing more Nazis, even though our media doesn’t report on them.

After my tours in Viet Nam, I was stationed there from 1971 to 1974 and they didn’t like us then, long before either Bush was in office or our entry into Iraq.

We don’t need troops in Germany or Europe. We should redeploy “nearby,” and could always “rapidly re-enter” from elsewhere, if need be.

My father, may his soul rest in peace, fought in WW2, where the United States and the allied forces achieved the greatest victory in history. He also fought in Korea, where he and General MacArthur were betrayed by politics. He also saw active duty in the earliest stages of Vietnam, and had to stand by later in life to watch his duty and honor diminished by politicians back home. Seemed simple enough... democracy vs. communism, good vs. evil. We still don't have it right.

The democratic policy on prosecuting the war on terror, and defending freedom throughout the world:

http://users.cybertime.net/~ajgood/ostrich.html

>some members of the 101st Airborne Division...expressed concern that Robert Gates...might seek to wind down their mission before it was finished.

Navy Reservist here. While the troops have every right to an opinion, and I agree with them, we can't let our opinions lead us to deviate from the lawful orders of the civilian leadership ultimately put in place by the people of the US.
