This Radar article, “Gaza Stripped”, gives a quick look at how Yasir Arafat turned the misery of the Palestinians into an enormous money machine. You can see how and why there’s a huge vested interest in never solving the regional problems, and in fact perpetuating them.
We all know that Arafat was a despicable creature who brought privation and death wherever he trod. And yet the West paid him and wooed him and paid him some more, praying that an appeased terrorist would somehow become a reformed terrorist. But all we got for our money was a rich terrorist, with a Nobel Prize on his shelf.
For the record, let’s remember how Kaare Kristiansen resigned from the Nobel Committee rather than reward a homicidal maniac with a prize for “peace”. But such moral clarity is sadly a minority position. Far too many people are in sympathy with, for example, the BBC reporter who had this reaction to Arafat’s final evacuation: “…when the helicopter carrying the frail old man rose above his ruined compound, I started to cry…” (Although she does go on to acknowledge that Arafat “made mistakes” and “missed opportunities”.)

And of course the Arab countries want to keep the Isreal occupies Palestinian lands alive so the population will think of that, instead of what is really wrong in thier own countries ans societies.
arafat and jimmy carter are very similar. arafat is the father of modern terrorism and jimmy carter is the midwife of islamofascism.
as for the so called palestinians, they are nothing more than an invention.

Perhaps Zahir Muhsein, a former PLO executive committee member, stated it best in an interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw on March 31, 1977.
The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism.”
“Mistakes”!!? “Missed opportunities” !!!???
Yasser Arafat was given one-third of the Nobel Peace Prize ( the other two thirds going to two great leaders), facilitated with the encouragement and blessing of Bill Clinton. At the time, Bill Clinton refused to issue a standing formal indictment to Arafat for the brutal murder of two American and two European diplomats, accomplished by the terrorist group Black September under order of Arafat.
And where has peace advanced? If the Israeli people are to give the Palestinians their own homeland, then the same logic would call for America to give back the United States to the Native Americans. Absurd to the nth degree.
And now the leadership within the democratic party want us to initiate talks with Iran and Syria, all while they fight a war against Israel and the west vicariously through Muslim extremist groups.
