Euro Leftists Heart the Democrat Party

**Welcome Daou Report readers. When finished with this post, please feel free to look around the Tammy Blog**

Probably as much as al-Qaida does right now. Yes, one can tell a great deal about some by the company they keep. For anyone out there who has refused to admit that Democrat Party leadership has been hijacked by international leftists (Soros and his lapdog Dean for example), here's your wake up call.

European Socialists eager to work with U.S. Democrats

OPORTO, Portugal (Reuters) - European Socialists promised on Thursday to work to rebuild Europe's strategic alliance with the United States now that the Democrats control Congress after last month's elections.

Socialist leaders attending a meeting of the European Socialist Party pledged that with the Democrats on the rise, strong ties could be renewed with the United States after years of cool relations with Republican President George W. Bush.

Howard Dean, chairman of the national committee of the U.S. Democratic Party, is attending the two-day conference together with the leaders of leftist governments of several countries and party leaders from across Europe.

This is great, isn't it? The people responsible for the economic and social collapse of Europe, can't wait to renew "strong ties" with the U.S, and Dean is right there to enjoy the bonding experience. Those, my friends, are ties that not only bind, but throttle. Like a creepy intestinal worm a person picks up in the Amazon, socialism is stupid, weak and nothing compared to its host, but puts all its energy into surviving. It exists to exist, and consumes the thing in its path. It's not helpful, or beneficial, or productive. It's a machine of consumption and destruction. And boy, there is so much to consume in America. So much to do.

The Dems being in control of Congress is the equivalent of the U.S. standing naked and bent-over in the middle of some fetid worm-filled swamp in South America. But let's do our best to cover our collective kiester by making sure the Dems do as little damage as possible until we can undo this horrid experiment in '08.

Ohhhhh, perfect my friend, just perfect!!

There is nothing I can add. How can Howard Dean even 'think' of speaking for the United States? Confuse me? At this point Tammy, I truly think an APB needs to be put out on our W, because I have lost him in the wilderness. However, we shall not tire, WE shall not falter and WE shall not fail!

The most alarming danger is that our domestic lemmings apparently yearn to emulate their comrades across the pond. Begs the question "Can't they see what socialism has done to Europe?" I have full confidence they can do more damage in two years than we suspect.

This is probably the first time in American history that the President, during a time of war, has faced on opposition Party (Dems) who are actively calling for a surrender to the enemy (excuse me, a redeployment). Only a H. Dean, N. Pelosi, H. Reid led Party could conceive of such a wicked strategy. The Repubicans can force a stalemate until 2008, but if Hillary wins in 2008 they will be able to do anything. You can then stand by for tax increases, open borders, retreat in the war on terror, and can you imagine the type of whacky judges that Hillary would appoint. Jesus save us!

Posts of this nature make me wonder what sort of alternate bizarro world right-wingers inhabit.

Have you been to Europe, Tammy?

It has not collapsed, socially or economically. It is thriving.

[Thriving? Really? And yes, Ms. Bruce has been to Europe, but she also has that new fangled thing called "the internet" which allows all of us to see that even Europeans aren't pretending that they're "thriving" economically or socially. Here are some links with which you can see the current disastrous conditions of two of what are supposed to be the strongest lynchpins of the EU--Germany and France. And gee, you can do this simple research without even leaving your home. Isn't that amazing? I pulled these links up in five minutes, btw. As far as that 'alternative bizarro world'--it's called 'the truth backed up with facts.' Yes, indeed, a strange, unknown concept to moonbats.--ed.

Can you quit referring to the "Democrat" party? There is no such thing. There is, however, a party known as the "Democratic" party.

This annoying tic, while meant to pe a put-down, just makes you sound illiterate.

[Well, when members of the Democrat Party refer to themselves as "Democratics" as opposed to "Democrats" then I'm sure Ms. Bruce will consider your request.--ed].

VMC and JVF--Apparently you know not with whom you are fooling. WAY out of your league.

My Goodness! The dems aren't even in control yet, and look at how far and hard they are moving. They had better hope that their supposition that the vote spoke directly to their agenda is in fact the case. I submit to you that it is not the case, and that they will ultimately come to see this, although I don't believe they will ever fully understand it.

I believe the European unemployment numbers. Given the Bush record on Government statistics, I'm not sure I believe ours. In any event, the Europeans grant that it is a problem.

Posted by: Lindata [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 9, 2006 09:34 AM

I would assert that there is actually a lot of learn from socialism in Europe. They've had a lot of different policies implemented a lot of different ways, and have done a lot of experimenting for us. Which is nice, because economic experiments can hurt.

Look at the case of Spain vs. Finland. Spain has out of control unemployment. A large part of this is that there's little incentive to get off of government unemployment programs. But the we look at Finland, a country who's economic policies are also socialist in nature. They're economy is booming, and has been for some time. Why? Because they use good economic policy. Incentives, open markets, and competition are NOT inconsistent with socialism. The question lies in the details.

Sometimes, all you need to see is the headline and that's all it takes for you to throw up in your mouth a little.
