Reports: Saddam to Hang by Sunday

MSNBC is reporting that Iraq wants to arrange a meeting between Saddam and Allah by Sunday. Why Sunday? Monday is the end of that holiday where all the Muslims go to Suadi Arabia and wander around that big box thing in Mecca. Oh, and then they throw rocks at a symbol of evil and the devil. That's just too ironic even for me.

NBC: Saddam to be hanged by Sunday

Former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, sentenced to death for his role in 148 killings in 1982, will have his sentence carried out by Sunday, NBC News reported Thursday. According to a U.S. military officer who spoke on condition of anonymity, Saddam will be hanged before the start of the Eid religious holiday, which begins this Sunday.

Saddam’s sentence, handed down last month, ordered that he be hanged within 30 days.

I can tell you one thing--we certainly can take a lesson from the new Iraqi system when it comes to efficiently and quickly implementing the death penalty. That tyrant's presence in Iraq has cast a pall over all Iraqis. They could never be totally sure he wouldn't return as long as he lived. His execution will aleviate that concern, and also finally shut him up. The fact that he has been able to make public statements and interfere with the situation in Iraq is another indication of how absurd the situation on the ground has become. It's time for that beast to be dispatched.

All I can say is "Happy New Year World!" Out with the old dictator's..in the next year may we deal with the others. I will be glad when this evil is off the face of the earth, and facing God; imagine that conversation?

Too good a riddance to bad rubbish. He should be disemboweled and then drawn and quartered, with his remains then sent though his industiral-strength shredders and spread all over Syria.

Maybe this pigs execution will be the shot in the arm the Iraqis need to unite and truly move forward in securing their own future.

I hope the coward is scared out of his wits right now.
