Southpaws Unite!

While my politics have seen the light, my southpaw-ness has not. And here I thought I was the only "lefty" in your life. (HT PJM)

Actually, I must confess, I'm actually ambidextrous--left-handed when I write, but right-handed in many other pursuits, such as tennis, and firing Snuffy at the shooting range. Does this actually mean I play for both teams??

Tammy ... I'm that way also ... but in reverse. I throw lefty and used to play hockey lefty. But I write righty and play golf righty.

I have always thought people like us must have equally developed left and right sides of the brain because of our ability to effectively "cross over" to the other side.

Clever, Tammy, clever!

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.....My 3 year old daughter is doing some things with her right hand and some other things with her left hand. Is this a sign of superior intelligence? If so, I'm sure it's from her moms side.

Did not know Tammy was a lefty, I too am ambidextrous. Most left handed people are to one degree or another ambidextrous because it is a right handed world. You have to use your right for most tasks. It seems quit natural to write throw a ball or do most things with either hand except shoot a gun and swing a bat. It only feels comfortable right handed for those. Might be a genetic thing in my case. In my family every aunt and uncle on one side is left handed.

I am all for a left hand only club but we have to devise a test to insure you are a left hander or ambidextrous we would not want to have a right handed person to sneak in.

I'm the same way: write left but shoot right or left. Can't throw left and shoot darts with both. I agree with the assessment on equal development of the brain.

It would be about time lefties got together. Didn't know Tammy would be in on it though. I can do many things right handed, but shooting? Athletics? How? Hope no one has accidently missed and hit someone shooting like that.

Natural lefty but ambidextrous as well. Like serenity, being a southpaw is a genetic trait, it goes back at least three generations in my family. Dyslexia also seems to affect the lefties in my family as well. You win some, you lose some. However, I would not have it any other way!!!!
