The 2006 Weblog Awards

Vote for Tammy Blog as Best Media Blog

Well, I must say, I’m surprised and pleased. I’ve received an number of e-mails from readers informing me that my humble blog here is a finalist for the Weblog Awards in the category of “Best Media Blog.” I guess that’s because I’m a media girl.

We’ve been around for about a year now and this is the first award we’ve ever been nominated for, and it’s quiet nice. It would, of course, also be cool to win, so I have not-so-humbly put the little “Weblog Award Finalist” vote button in the Radio Sideblog scribble column. Click here or on that button to go to the voting page to help Tammy Blog have a respectable showing ;) The voting closes on December 15, and you can actually vote once every day.

When you’ve voted in the Media Blog category, make sure you check out the main page for the rest of the categories and vote for your favorite blogs there, too. Categories include everything ranging from Best Conservative Blog, Best Liberal Blog, Best Culture Blog, Best Podcast, etc.

Now go vote and have fun.

UPDATE:

Well, the Raw Story , the tilts-to-the-left content machine, is obliterating everyone. As I noted earlier, though, let’s get a respectable showing for Tammy Blog :) and for every one of your favorite blogs. The great thing about the finalist lists is they will also introduce you to blogs you may be unfamiliar with. So check out the ones you’ev never seen before.
And remember, you can vote every day. Thanks.

Well done Tammy, and perhaps you’d like to plug Shire Network News in the best Podcast category as a solidly Anti-Jihad podcast among a sea of noise. I took over presenting Shire Network News after appearing on your show!

What’s really great about your site is that you don’t try to parse and select out dissenting views. Try getting some contrary opinion on http://www.huffingtonpost.com – Ariana will hit the delete button faster than you can say “hyperpartisan”.

no doubt, part of the reason for your success is the intelligence and insight of those folks who contribute posts to your blog :)

Congrats Tammy!

In this case, you are entitled to toot your horn Tammy. Congratulations from a periodic poster in here! Besides the format, I’m sure you get some recognition for your wit and perception on issues, whether those that evaluate agree or disagree with you politically.

Tammy, I love your blog, but you’ve got to fix the typos on the section that announces your nomination.

an umber – should be “a number.”
quiet nice – should be “quite nice.”

Don’t meen to nitpick, but speeling is vary importent. You don’t want to loose the award becuz of that.

Unfortunately, “The Raw Story” is whipping everybody, you included.

Doesn’t matter. I’ll vote again. I also wanted to tell you I just ordered your book “The New American Revolution” and am enjoying it immensely.
