Funny What Happens When You Confront the Enemy

They run. That's why it would have been nice if our military had been "allowed" to kill the enemy from day one. It shouldn't be surprising that savages aren't afraid of the Salvation Army, but they will run like the rats out of hell they are from the Marines.

Death Squad Leaders Flee Baghdad Ahead of Troop Surge, Former Iraqi Official Says

Death squad leaders have fled Baghdad to evade capture or killing by U.S. and Iraqi forces before the start of the troop "surge" and security crackdown in the capital.

A former senior Iraqi minister said most of the leaders loyal to Muqtada al-Sadr, the radical anti-American cleric, had gone into hiding in Iran.

Well now, isn't that a shock? You mean the death Squad leaders aren't fighting an internal 'sectarian' civil war? Wow, let me wrap my head around that revelation.

And shame on President Bush for waiting years and until we fired everyone before finally giving the order for our military to do what the've trained to do. And what sort of impact are the Dems having on the frame of mind and strategy of the enemy?

With Bush facing heavy criticism at home over the surge, death squad leaders have every incentive to wait out what could be the president's last-ditch effort to pacify Baghdad. Zalmay Khalilzad, the outgoing U.S. ambassador to Baghdad, said last week he was concerned that militants were "lying low, avoiding conflict now in order to fight another day".

Yep. The New, Ethical, Non-Partisan, Patriotic Democratic Congress at work. Still giving aid and comfort and hope to the enemy.

The "Rules of Engagement" are/were just one of the reason I have been convinced since 05 thet W does not want to win the war. The question I have puzzled over the last 2 years is why did he start a war he did not want to win? Up til he fired Rummy ( which should have been done 2 yeare earlier - if W wanted to win as Rummy's "shock and aw" approach was a clear failure.) I reasoned it was that the GOP had won 2 elecitons solely on the basis of the war. But fighting a war to lose cost them a crushing defeat in both houses of Congress in the third one.
I still think elections are the answer but I now pay a little more attention to those saying it is to benefit the rich liberal corporat leaders which goes hand in hand with his pardoning of 12,000,000 criminal aliens.
I really do not have a solid answer as to why he went to war to lose. But the "Rules of Engagement" were clearly fabricated to prevent America from winning. Which they have done for 3 years now. At the cost of many lives bothe American and other.

While I agree with Tammy's comments on how the USMC is much more frightening than the Salvation Army, I don't agree with the shame on GWB. I hardly think she would pass the same judgement on President Lincoln. President Bush has not only had to fight the terrorists overseas, but he has had the MSM and the Dems fighting him on this just about from the time we went into Iraq. I've never been for limited engagement, but I do believe we are on the right road now, just as Lincoln went through so many Generals until he found Grant, I think GWB has found his Grant. And as I heard from Rush's show, we have General Petraeus leading the fight, and Senator(s) Betrayus trying to defeat us.
Semper FI!!
