The Messiah Has Finally Arrived

Obamaprays.jpg

Look! Barak prays and looks up...as though to someone he knows really well, if you get my drift.

And he's officially thinking about running for president! This discussion could also be titled, "Look the Democrats found a black guy in their leadership ranks who's not a complete moonbat lunatic." Or, alternatively, "Look, even though it's been the Republicans who have consistently put Americans who happen to be black in legitimate powerful, leadership positions, we Democrats have a real nice token, er black guy, too! And he looks better than Teddy without his shirt on. And he's the Messiah to boot!"

Laka, laka, laka.

Obama Forms Committee to Weigh 2008 Presidential Bid

Jan. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Senator Barack Obama, an Illinois Democrat who rose to prominence with his keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention and has become one of the party's most sought-after speakers, said he's exploring a presidential bid.

"Running for the presidency is a profound decision -- a decision no one should make on the basis of media hype or personal ambition alone -- and so before I committed myself and my family to this race, I wanted to be sure that this was right for us and, more importantly, right for the country.'' Obama said in a statement on his Web site.

obamahalo.jpg

Look! A halo! USA Today publishes photographic proof of Messiahship

Did I say, even though he's the Messiah, he's also really, really, smart and compassionate? Oh yeah, and he's black!

Actually, Obama is a perfect representative for today's Moonbat Democrat Party--he's the human equivalent of a Potemkin Village. Has the bells and whistles on the outside, but nothing much inside--no real history, no real buildings, no real substance.

But he's black. I guess that first Black President didn't do too well. You know, with ignoring that Rwandan massacre. And all that philandering. Oh yeah, and doing nothing about al-Qaida for 8 years. I think it's best if we avoid those Faux Black Presidents.

Ooh, look, the Messiah has a website (he sure got hooked in quickly for being gone for so long). Also, being the Messiah, he knows exactly what we want and how we want in--a YouTube-like announcement of his plans. Video and everything. Video is going to be very important in this effort, because, after all, he is black you know and that's something that the written word just doesn't adequately convey.

Obama is the Dem. savior and my died in the wool GOP (leaning libertarian) heart sings.
Here we are at war with Islamo Facsist Pigs, and the Dems. propose running the first Islamic-black candidate for President. The only saving grace is that members of The Nation of Islam are not mosulems.

In Obama, they may have the only candidate that could cause a majority of black Americans to vote GOP. Black christians know better than anyone how phoney and racist the Nation of Islam is.

Obama could set a new record as the worst major party candidate in US history. Walter Mondale has been the goat long enough. Yeah, I think it is time for Obama.

Obama vs. Rodham-Clinton. The Empty Suit vs. Hilly the Hun.

The 2008 Democratic presidential primary will easily be the the filthiest campaign in history. Remember: the MSM will not be able to complain about negative campaigning since they believe only Republicans engage in it. The gloves will be off, and all manner of campaign weapons and dirty tricks will come out. And both Obama and Hilly are greedy, arrogant, and stupid, which will only fuel the mud-slinging.

I have predicted this before, but look for the Hun to flatten the Empty Suit. And it will be a Hilly/Obama ticket in 2008 while the MSM proclaims a new "Era of Good Feelings" in order to make the public forget the muddy birth of the pair.

As empty as he is, he has presence and Republicans would do well to take him seriously.

And any mocking we do of him is going to turn around and bite us in the a**.

This is where we need to press and press HARD not to let him or his supporters get away with platitudes.

He's "got ideas?" Then we have to make him state them, in detail. Over and over and over again.

We need point out the puffery in the MSM too. They did it with Clinton (quotes of women fawning over how 'handsome' he was were printed on the front page of the LATimes!) and they are eager to get their party back into the Executive Branch.

Posted by: Darleen [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 16, 2007 01:24 PM

Now that he's gonna make it official, I'm sure the MSM will start pummeling him with questions like: "Do you favor MFN trading status for China?"

Posted by: YankeeWanker [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 16, 2007 01:24 PM

Someone call Madonna quick and tell her to adopt this guy! Given the sorry state of Republican conservative candidates...it's not looking very good any time into the future! Republican gains since Ronald Reagan are being thrown away at the altar of "bi-partisianship" and RINO's!!!

Obama is not a muslim. From Wikipedia:
The Obamas are members of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ. Of his religious affiliation, Obama has written:
"I was drawn to the power of the African American religious tradition to spur social change. [...] In the history of these struggles, I was able to see faith as more than just a comfort to the weary or a hedge against death; rather, it was an active, palpable agent in the world. [...] It was because of these newfound understandings–that religious commitment did not require me to suspend critical thinking, disengage from the battle for economic and social justice, or otherwise retreat from the world that I knew and loved–that I was finally able to walk down the aisle of Trinity United Church of Christ one day and be baptized. It came about as a choice and not an epiphany; the questions I had did not magically disappear. But kneeling beneath that cross on the South Side of Chicago, I felt God's spirit beckoning me. I submitted myself to His will, and dedicated myself to discovering His truth."
---
Of course he still has "questions" and, I'm not sure, but does he think religion is an agent for social and economic justice? I cringe when anyone spouts off about 'economic justice'.

It's amazing to me (not really) that no one is looking closely at the "landslide" victory that put him in the Senate. Sadly, it was probably was probably a moderate Republican with a dull axe to grind (possible with the initials JBT or near enough) that dropped the dime that lead the Chicagg Tribune to "expose" the dirt on Candidate Ryan and the Borg Princess [Ryan's ex-wife Jeri Ryan of Star Trek Voyager--ed.]

I watched in horror as all the qualified replacements were "out shopping" when the State Committee was trying to fill the ticket. Then the master plan unfolded. Get a prominent Black conservative to come to the state, fill the ticket then turn your back on him. Ambassador Keyes did an admirable job in an impossible and, largely, thankless task. Unfortunately, the race ended in Obamarama becoming the new Golden Boy, thanks to my poor, dumb, fractured party here in the birth state of the GOP.

I know Oprah likes him so he's gotta be good, right?

Why is it that those who have the most sense refuse to run for President?
Oh, that's right, because they don't have inflated egos or a "look at me, look at me" mentality.
It's a shame because I would happily campaign for Colin Powell.

He attended islamic school while in Jakarta as a child. As far as muslims are concerned he is a muslim, his father was one. His father then step father were both muslim.

Whatever his religion is, he is an opportunistic empty suit who thinks a lot of himself.

Posted by: Skeptic [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 16, 2007 08:21 PM

It's a funny christian who takes his oath of office at the senate with his hand on the Koran.

A recent Zogby survey reveals Americans are longing for leadership qualities similar to those of Reagan and FDR based on descriptions of their qualities.

Twenty-eight percent want Reagan’s "far-sighted vision” and one who "persevered despite harsh criticism from enemies and was firm in pursuing his agenda.” Twenty-six percent "pragmatism and hopefulness of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who inspired a nation in trouble and championed the needs of the downtrodden.”

Also-rans are JFK, Lincoln and Washington. George Washington came in last.

So the key to success in ’08 is to portray yourself as a compassionate, tenacious, far-sighted, hopeful pragmatist.

When a person has one black parent and one white parent, does that person get to decide whether he/she is black or white? Did Obama's momma turn black, or is he so racist that he refuses to admit that he is as white as he is black?

Posted by: Janet [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 17, 2007 10:13 AM

Apparently then Obama was a Muslim in his youth but then converted to Christianity as an adult. According to radical Islamists, there is no conversion from Islam. "Any Muslim who denies allegiance to Islam and its founder Mohammed can expect three outcomes: ostracism, imprisonment, or death."

Posted by: helpunderdog [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 17, 2007 10:56 AM

Obama relates to the black community although he was raised by his white mother from Kansas? Does that mean that when he became an adult he realized that his "blackness" was more politically advantagous than his "whiteness"?

Instead of asking "is America ready for the first black president" the question should be "is American ready for the first socialist president"?

Posted by: retire05 [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 17, 2007 11:09 AM

The "phony factor" is key. I think John Kerry has the highest phony factor of all time. Though not as bad, Obama's PF is high enough to turn me off immediately. If you're phony, you've got something to hide. And you'll always be thinking about that as opposed to what's really important.

Posted by: Kimj7157 [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 17, 2007 11:31 AM

I would not make light of whomever the Dems put up in '08. I am extremely concerned about three things: one, no strong GOP candidiate has emerged yet, and time is a-wasting.

Two, I never in my wildest dreams though Bill Clinton had a snowball's chance in Hell back in 1992, and we all know how THAT turned out.

Three, after the debates I was convinced G.W.B. would TROUNCE hollow-headed Algore in 2000 (in fact, I was fully expecting an early, decisive night...and ended up not sleeping AT ALL).

I have since learned to never count my chickens until they are hatched, beheaded, plucked and deep-fried.

Posted by: PeteRFNY [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 17, 2007 01:45 PM

Peter:
I do not believe that anyone is "making light" of Obama's Presidential run. After the recent disastrous elections we Conservatives have just endured, how could any of us "make light" of anything the Dems do. And as far as the election of BillyBob in '92, President Bush '41 became very complacent and just assumed he would be reelected. I do agree that the Repubs have not shown anyone to get excited about for 2008, but there is plenty of time. The Pelosi bunch will be their own worst enemies and I believe will hang themselves with their overconfidence and will too become complacent.

Posted by: Janet [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 17, 2007 03:53 PM

Ok, how many red states are going to vote for a guy whose first name is "Barack"? Duh? What the hell is that. A good indication of how leftwing this guy could be is his vote on John Roberts to the Supreme Court. As I recall 22 Democrats (people like Teddy) voted against Roberts, Barack was one of the 22. Roberts is possibly the most qualified appointment to the Supreme Court in our history yet Barack joined the other leftwing loons because they are using "litmus tests". You must kiss the ring of their abortion god or you don't get their vote. Barack is just another leftwing Democratic.

Janet - I'm refelcting mainly on some of the comments I have seen here and elsewhere (and from friends of mine). Based on the results of the last few elections, I never take anything for granted anymore. I'm with you - making light is no good (unless you work at the incandescent bulb factory).

Pete

ahwatukeejohn- If you are referring to Obama, he took the oath of office with his hand on a bible.

Rep. Ellison is the only one on Capitol Hill to swear in using the Koran. (he converted from Christianity to Islam at the age of 19)
