Ahmadinejad Cancels Trip To New York, Blames Visa Delay

As opposed to the fact that his nation has just kidnapped 15 British Marines. Just now on Fox News, Richard Miniter and other experts have characterized Iran's actions today as an act of war. Not that that means anything to the Democrat Party neutered President Bush these days.

Ahmadinejad cancels U.N. Security Council visit

UNITED NATIONS (CNN) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has canceled a planned visit to the United Nations, blaming a delay in U.S. visas being issued to the crew of his airplane.

Ahmadinejad wanted to speak to the U.N. Security Council before a vote, scheduled for Saturday on sanctions against Iran.

Iran says it will still try to get high-level representation to the U.N. most likely the foreign minister.

I'm glad that ape is not dirtying American soil with his presence today. I have been so enraged about him coming here that earlier this week I wrote down what I would say to him if I saw him on the streets of New York. I was going to put it on MySpace, but I'm afraid that they would cancel my account due to the language I use.

I did show it to Pat, though, and she commented that it was quite thorough.

Neutered President Bush? Seems to me, that the President is the one that has remained steadfast in his commitment to Iraq. They are British Marines, President Bush can't do anything about British forces. While you and I disagree with some of his policies, you should at least give the President the credit that he is due.

The verbal equivalent of a laser beam. A shame to go unused.

It seems his excuse is baloney, as everyone was up in arms about the visas earlier in the week. I tend to think of myself as well read, and I read stuff from all sides of every issue, but I must admit I am really confused about the actions of Iran today. Why would they even consider taking prisoners in a war they claim to be no part of? This is rather frightening.

Certainly relieved to find out that Pig won't be entering this country. What continues to gripe me is that "...a delay in U.S. visas being issued..." is the ultimate reason given for Ahmadinejad's cancelled trip.

Oh, that the U.S. Government would have stated clearly and plainly from the start that he won't be allowed into this country because he is (an ANTI-SEMITIC LYING MURDERING TERRORIST and) an ENEMY of these United States. Period.

Yes. The Iranian leadership would be outraged and any hopes for a "diplomatic resolution" to our problems with Iran would be dashed.(!)
The fact is that while Ahmadinejad and Komeini are in charge, there is no dealing with Iran. On any level. Ever. And any ideas to the contrary continue to be ludicrous. But, the honesty and strength THAT COULD HAVE BEEN displayed by our Government would have been a reason to cheer.

Another opportunity lost.

Why doesn't this US Gov have the nads to go in and kick some I'm a dinner jacket? All I've been hearing from the President/administration is "iran supports the insurgents... iran makes bombs for the inserts...iran does this...iran does that...Shut your pie hole Prez! If you're not going to grow a backbone and take some action, shut up beach!

Hey, what's to stop Iran from taking prisoners? What is Great Britain or the US going to do about it? The same thing that has been done all along: absolutely nothing!

Iran does not see us as a threat! We are looking rather foolish on the world stage at this moment. We have the Hitler equivalent telling us exactly what he thinks of us and Israel, and he has declared his intentions all along. In the mean time, our response is devoting more time to Anna Nicole Smith, Katrina aftermath, Global Warming and our president hauling lettuce in Mexico.

I do not see the urgency in the administration to do a damn thing to Iran for anything. And considering the word from England regarding the 15 prisoners of war: it does not appear too much is being DONE, but I'll sure bet the Brits have a lot to SAY about it!

Perhaps if the president had backed up the tough talk last summer w/ equally tough actions, there would not have been 15 British soldiers taken captive by Iran. I'll bet if the troops were allowed to fight this war aggressively w/ our full arsenal, we wouldn't have to hear another damn thing about The Adventures of The Little Iranian Insect.

It seems that dinner-jacket was awarded 39 Visas

"State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said an initial 39 visas -- 13 for diplomats and 26 for security staff -- had been delivered in Bern. He said requests for another 33 visas for Iranian crew were still being examined."

The paper work for the rest was screwed up, I think he had to stay home so the British didn’t kidnap him as ransom for the captured sailors. When is an act of war actually an act of war anymore?

Ok, I decided to post my little piece of spoken word art dedicated to our favorite little Islamopsycho on Prowess, even though it has nothing to do with the kind of content I usually feature there.

Please, Britain, Israel, and USA, grow some gum balls (as Michele Malkin would say) and put Iran out of its misery.
