Pelosi’s visit to Syria did more than encourage a murderous dictator, her wearing the hijab legitimizes and honors the world’s most entrenched oppression of women–the Islamic man’s insistence (in the name of ‘religion’) that women are too dangerous, too dirty, too ungodly, to be allowed to be seen in their entirety in public.

Wow. This says it all. This picture is the perfect backdrop for the next election. I’ve never been a feminist, and I’ve probably disagreed with more than 50% of feminist ideas in the past. But wouldn’t you at least think that since so much of feminism has been integrated into our culture over the last 30-40 years, that at least we could now enjoy the first woman speaker of the House saying; “sorry, I don’t do scarves?” Why is every culture important except ours?
You could also put Hillary in that hijab or Harry Reid and they would fit very comfortably. They believe if we just set down with the terrorists and have a conversation with them and tell them how sorry we are for being Americans then everything will be OK. It’s the old Jimmy Carter foreign policy. Just go around and give every dictator in the world a big french kiss and everything will be fine. It’s kookie, what else can be said.
Unfortunately this isn’t a shocking picture…dismaying yes but not a suprise. I have never understood a womans compliance with this hideous degrading practice…..must less an American woman. You know, I am married to a very easy going guy but being military and having served in that region he boils these women really get to him. Walking through a mall and seeing a woman with her mind controlling ensemble make his blood boil over. I often wonder if American women who practice this religion truly have a grasp on what they are embracing.
Let’s see…at NOW’s website, after I was greeted with the banner: “Make History With Hillary”, I scrolled down and found a reference to “George W. Bush’s war for oil and control of the Middle East.” A search on the word “Pelosi” brings up the title, “NOW Shows Support for Pelosi With Giant Congratulations Card!” No condemnations of the sight of her with an Islamic bag over her head are visible. A search for “oppression of Muslim women” brings up an article about comparing “domestic and international terrorists.”
How EFFING disgusting! Does this look like the woman who is holding one of the highest positions in America/the world???? No – she comes off as submissive and weak, catering to the brutish Syrian f**ks.
She has just shown women around the world – and especially to the poor women FORCED to hide in their clothing – just how irrelevant, ignorant and mindless the feminist movement is for American women who hold positions of ‘power’.
I suppose it’s easier for Nancy to use strong language & tones w/ our president – especially while sitting comfortably, without threat, in the US; but get in the presence of REAL women-oppressors, and she loses her spine, too.

Part of whittling away at Western culture is to increase the portrayal of Islamic customs and rituals as commonplace. While we’ve been concentrating resources to combat murderous acts of terrorism, we willingly, even gleefully in some quarters, cooperate in the murder of our culture.
I live in an area close enough to Dearbornistan to get the spillover, so I’m somewhat accustomed to mingling with a Muslim population. In recent years I’ve seen an increasing use of the hijab on young Muslim women. Maybe they are caught in the tightening vise of retrogressive Islamic practice. Maybe not. I have a gut feeling it’s becoming more of a political statement than a religious adherence among the younger, American-born Muslims. In the case of Nancy Pelosi, she can’t be naïve about the symbolism of her wearing that veil. She is making a political statement. The left has always embraced America’s enemies.
Now, instead of being merely the seditious traitors their tradition has assigned them since 1860, Democrats have adopted the trait of vicious stupidity.
Correction: scarf, not veil. Although one symbol is as good as another.

Pelosi condones and supports the muslim belief that woman is less than man – that is what the headcovering means. Fanatical muslims believe that this world was made for men. Women are to assist and obey. Slavery is permitted. Discrimination is the law of the land. There is no separation of religion and state. Muslims do not believe in concepts like human rights or equalilty – access to equal opportunity. These concepts are a horror to them and fly in the face of all Mohammed said and did.
By honoring the headscarf, Pelosi subjugates herself (and America as well), and adds legitimacy to this Granddaddy of all patriarchies. How progressive of her.

Here’s the thing.
If I were a tourist in a mosque (or a church or a temple or whateve), perhaps going along with tradition shows some respect or at a minimum lets me see the thing without riling up folks when I’m a long way from the good old USA.

Interesting. In the article linked from this post, the image shows Pelosi without a headscarf, while meeting with Syrian leaders.
The article explains that she was wearing a scarf while at the market and at a mosque. That doesn’t seem supportive of militant Islamic terrorists. That only seems respectful to a culture that is vastly different than America.
I believe Nancy Pelosi choose to wear a scarf out of respect for the Islamic culture. And I presume that most Muslim American women base their fashion choices on their religious beliefs.
