Senate Poised to Pass Immediate Amnesty Bill

nakedmexicans.jpg

I'm just paranoid enough to think all this crap the Dems have been spewing about the Iraq Surrender bill has been done in part to distract us from their frantic work to get their Alien Amnesty bill passed. In addition to cutting-and-running from the face of the enemy, the Dems along with the Repubs, have quietly moved along with their plan to surrender our sovereignty here at home.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that an illegal alien 'compromise' bill looks good to go, which would grant virtual immediate amnesty to every illegal alien in the country. Oh, it also includes allowing family to come, and illegals would also get college in-state tuition rates. Such a deal!

Senate nearing immigration bill
A bipartisan group moves toward a plan to give immediate legal status to 12 million illegal immigrants.

Senators negotiating a bipartisan immigration reform bill have settled on the details of a plan that would immediately grant legal status to all illegal immigrants currently in the United States. The deal on "Z visas" for illegal immigrants is one of several issues where Democrats and Republicans have reached broad agreement...

The Z visa plan would start with the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States going on a probationary legal status. If the triggers are met — a process that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) estimated would take 18 months — then illegal immigrants who qualify could get Z visas. Those who have committed felonies would not be eligible, Graham said, and all participants would have to pass security checks, pay a fine and a processing fee and pass an English proficiency test.

And imagine the bureaucracy set up for that. I'm sure it would be as effective and successful as the federal government is at keeping poisoned foods and medicines from our tables.

And what do the Repubs think of this?

Republicans sounded cautiously hopeful. "I remain optimistic that we'll be able to put together a bill that can clear the Senate on a bipartisan basis, hopefully an overwhelmingly bipartisan basis," said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)...

"We've made a lot of progress," said Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.). "There are a few issues outstanding. The staffs have worked around the clock."

Red State has more analysis here.

NumbersUSA has a history of amnesty bills. Their main page also has more information about Bill "Z" and other immigration news as well.

Call your senators now and tell them what you think of them and this plan. 202-224-3121.

I first had a contract on my house with an illegal immigrant. I was admonished by MY real estate agent for asking the "Are you legal?" question. Not allowed to, I was told. Ok, shame on me! He's been here for 25 years. Hmmm, think, think, think, Christopher Robbin, 1986 Amnesty? Imagine this--he still spoke no English. A lawsuit to retrieve earnest money and expenses was fruitless--his social security number was being used by 3 people.

It never ceases to amaze me how congress (our wonderful representatives) are always busy behind the scenes working their wiley ways to undermine the absolute will of the American people.

It doesn't matter what we say, regardless of our numbers, how often plea, argue the case, send letters, faxes, make direct phone calls, hold protests to this asinine legislation (including all of it's predecessors in all it's forms), hold rallies, divulge our plight(s), our experiences regarding every aspect of this invasion and how it has impacted the quality our lives and the lives of our children, etc.

Not to mention the absolute outrage "we the people" feel over the elitist Washington "insiders" posture on this issue who, by their actions, primarily on this issue have shone little if any regard for their American constituents concern over the invasion of our country. All by politicians who obviously care only about their own self interests, who can contribute the most monetary gratitudes in dollars and or the largest block of "illegal alien" votes to their respective political dynasties!

On this issue of Amnesty (aka; comprehensive immigration reform) they've lost their way, they've surrendered our country, traded our one-language unity to chaos, and our sovereignty.

All the time as they pretend to care about our well-being, our safety and our economic plights, our troops, the war on terror, etc.

Hypocrites! You should have all opted to become comedians, a profession you are all more suited, for your political policies have all but been rendered a JOKE!

If there was ever any doubt as to who our federal government really represents, THIS should assuage all doubts.

Lesson learned: the men and women of power in this country are implicitly NOT there to serve anyone other than themselves and the interests of their party bosses.

Tommorow, I think I'll take a trip down to town hall and take my leave of the Gutless Old Party once and for all.

Washington was an independent, who am I to argue with wisdom like that?

What fools my wife and I were! She came to the USA legally (yeah - there are a few legal immigrants around) and spent nearly two year in bureaucratic limbo. Not to mention huge immigration fees, lawyer fees, etc.

Obey the law (like we did) get punished.

Break the law - get rewarded.

I sure hope if someone breaks into my house they just steal things and leave, otherwise if they fix the leaky sink I'll have to let them live here because that's a job I don't want to do.

Is that how Congress and the White House see it?
It's insane, just insane to give up our country like this.

I realized tonight that betting on the worst possible outcome will make me right 95% of the time. I have become a total cynic. Everything I believed in, every cause I ever fought for, every investment I ever made, has been betrayed. Two seconds of common sense thinking would show any reasonable person the proper course. Yet our "Leaders" have consistently made the worst possible decisions. They make promises to get elected, then do as they please for reasons that have nothing to do with what is best for America. Romney, Guiliani, Hillary, it doesn't matter. We will be sold out in the end. Remember Benjamin the donkey in "Animal Farm"? I just became him.
See you in the gulag.

My message to Congress? I've never seen you act so hasty! Why such a rush? No bill would be better than a bad bill. And certainly not one that contains amnesty. Think about it for a long time, and don't forget to ask a couple of U.S. Citizens what we think while you are pondering. While we are waiting, Congress, Bush and Gonzales can certainly feel free to start at anytime on the enforcement that was promised in 1986. Yeah, still waiting. It would look more convincing to get started on that promise before you promise even more of what was never delivered.
