This is What the Senate Thinks of You

As they celebrate their Screw-the-Americans/Amnesty for Illegals bill.

amnestysenators.jpg

Swiped from Drudge, here are senators from both parties celebrating their creation of a new slave class and 20-million more votes.

These people are so arrogant they have completely lost site not only of what's important, but what matters to the people who put them in office. It is the height of malignant narcissism.

And it's not just Dems in that picture; that's Lindsay Graham in the middle, the esteemed Republican from South Carolina.

For further action, as well a detailed analysis of this 'compromise' bill entails, stay in touch with the immigration site NumbersUSA. Here is what NumbersUSA assesses as key components to the Amnesty Bill 1348:

* An immediate amnesty for nearly all 12-20 million illegal aliens who will get legal status for residence and jobs (with the assurance of getting green cards no later than 13 years);
* Mandatory workplace verification and some extra enforcement to try to slow the flow of the next 12 million illegal aliens enticed by the amnesty;
* Tripling of the rate of chain migration of extended family from around 250,000 a year to around 750,000 a year for about a decade; and
* New flows of 400,000 temporary foreign workers each year, bringing their families and having anchor babies who will be given U.S. citizenship.

Hi Tammy,

Check out Kennedy's left hand...that's what he wants to do to us. Now is the time to show these buffoons who the boss is. McCain just ended any chance he had of becoming President.

Posted by: Kevin [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 18, 2007 08:48 AM

This is highly insulting. We have allowed the Senate to have so much power that our voice doesn't matter anymore. Everyone should be outraged by this and see that we need to keep the people we elect in office on a tight leash!

Posted by: HutSutRaw [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 18, 2007 08:58 AM

We are no longer a sovereign nation. These guys have just made us a flophouse.

Posted by: jeweytunes [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 18, 2007 09:14 AM

Yes, this is insulting, appalling and outrageous. Seeing that photo makes me angrier and more determind to stick it to those bloated morons with a jackhammer.

Don't get discouraged! Flood their offices with emails and phone calls. Call/email your friends, family and neighbors - inform them and give the phone numbers out. If you have a computer and Microsoft word (or some other letter creation software), you can create a decent flyer with the names & numbers of reps, copy them easily at Kinkos, and pass them out, leave some in public places - paint the town.

They want us to think resistance is futile: it only is if we retreat.

As for Kennedy's middle finger salute (as pointed out by Kevin): Hey - right back at you, Senator!

New idea for a grass roots protest: Condoms For Congress!

Works like this: We send letters to everyone in the House and Senate, and let's not forget El Presidente and The Homeland Insecurity Chief, and, respectfully, request that the next time the feel the need to screw us, we, as responsible adults, must ask that they please use the profilactic enclosed.

Posted by: RagingBullmoose [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 18, 2007 10:39 AM

Yes, this Senate bill is an outrage, an insult to all law-abiding Americans, and even law-abiding immigrating hopefuls.
I am pleased to witness today's outcry against this POS bill; hopefully, the message is being heard in Washington.

Despite all of the 'salad dressing' on this, this bill is still garbage, and our elected sell-outs are hoping that we will swallow it, without looking into it.

Can it be...someone gets it?

Gingrich on Immigration deal: 'A sellout of every conservative principle'...

Ok Newt...now what?

It is both amazing and tragic that our President claims as his most significant accomplishments 3 bills that conservatives consider to be extreme left, nanny state laws. It is also significant who his lead man is/was in all 3. None other than “Chappaquiddick” Ted! His first was one that many Republicans in the House voted against because it was what the Republican Party ran *AGAINST* in 00. Hillary care. W only gave us Hillary Care Part 1 but it was a giant leap into the nanny state and away from personal responsibility. Then he gave us the No School Lawyer Left behind which has generated $billion a year in legal fees for trial lawyers. Several millions a year here in So Cal alone the last 4 years! Now after fighting the GOP for 6 years George presents us with his Amnesty plan! He could not get it passed when the GOP controlled both houses of Congress. But now that the “opposition” (?) party is in control of both he gets his pardon of 12,000,000 - 16,000,000 criminals passed; or alt least on the road to passing. The fact that Feingold, Kerry and Chappaquiddick Ted were all supporters of these 3 “accomplishments” tells you very much about what kind of Republican W is! Another bleeding heart liberal named Bush! At least we held him off for 5 years.

Serious question - do you think Bush engineered the defeats of the GOP in bot houses of Congress to get his bleeding heart pardon passed? He may be a lot smarter than some give him credit for being.

In 1964 an exboxer from the South ( GWallace) ran on the American Independent Party for President. He said "There aint a nickle's worth of difference..." between Barry and LBJ. I thought he was crazy but Bush is proving him to be at least a fortune teller if nor right in 1964.

Posted by: Rod [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 18, 2007 02:51 PM

The most shameful part of this picture is not the background of Lindsay Graham, but the foreground. The man in the front is Senator Mel Martinez, a republican from Florida whom I helped elect, whose family fled from Cuba as a child and who is the Chairman of the Republican National Committee.

Posted by: ashleymatt [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 18, 2007 03:34 PM

Ashleymatt, Martinez is a contender for the emptiest suit in the Senate award, and has been since even before he was elected. You can thank the White House for all the crap he does, since they backed him to the hilt in the GOP Senate primary against current Fla. AG Bill McCollum, who actually has, you know, a brain.

Posted by: Dave J [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 18, 2007 04:29 PM

Appalling indeed, lets rush this through before any feedback can be inputed by the public. McCain may as well withdraw now. Just what we need more laws and regulations. If the existing laws and regulations were followed and ENFORCED we wouldn't need new ones. If the existing laws and regulations are NOT followed or ENFORCED I don't believe that new ones will be. And WE PAY these people?

Posted by: botg [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 18, 2007 06:13 PM

The House of Lords, (formally known as the Senate of the United States) needs to remember who got them there. As this is a family blog, I am not going to tell them what I think of them. Suffice to say..it is full of colorful metaphors. Stick it Senate. We the People, yea, remember those words..will tell you what we think of you in '08! I address that to the Lindsey Graham's of the world..my fellow so called Conservative Senator's..wake up, we are a Conservative army of voters ready to make you hear what we think.

Posted by: Trinity [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 18, 2007 11:04 PM

And this is what I think of the Senate(!).

Posted by: St. Thor [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 19, 2007 06:12 AM

A guest on the Laura Ingraham Radio program yesterday said that this bill will add another burden of 2.3 trillion dollars to Social Security. Benefits will exceed revenues by 2017 as it is now. Now add the mess Medicare and Medicaid is in, and the 9,000,000,000,000 dollar debt we have, and the 1,900,000,000,000 dollars worth of IOU's currently in the Social Security "Lock" Box that we need to pay, and...

My computer can't count that high. Government by the People, for the People, my #@!$*#
