NY Airport Terror Plot Connects to Venezuela and Iran

The blogosphere has excellent coverage detailing the arrest of three Islamists planning to blow up fuel lines leading into JFK airport. This plot would have been even more devastating than September 11th because those targeted fuel lines run under heavily populated residential areas. Hot Air and Little Green Footballs have details as it broke.

One suspect is still at large. One of the more fascinating aspects of this plot is the fact that one of the terrorists was nabbed in Trinidad as he was hopping a plane to Venezuela for a visa to go to Iran. This information from his own wife.

JFK Airport Terror Suspect's Family Reacts

Abdul Kadir, a Muslim and former member of Parliament in Guyana, was arrested in Trinidad for attempting to secure money for "terrorist operations," according to a Guyanese police commander who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Kadir's wife, Isha, said that her husband was nabbed while boarding a flight to Venezuela, where he planned to pick up a travel visa to attend an Islamic religious conference in Iran. He had flown from Guyana to Trinidad on Thursday.

Isha, of course, says her husband would never do something like this. And how does she know?

"We have no interest in blowing up anything in the U.S.," Isha said Saturday from the couple's home in Guyana. "We have relatives in the U.S."

Not because it's wrong, or because terrorism is horrible and unthinkable, but because they have 'relatives' here. How much do you wanna bet those 'relatives' don't live over fuel lines in Queens?

Thank GOD that the New York Times did NOT find sources to expose on this one, just like they did with other situations in the past. The whole thing with the Iran covert plans ticks me off, and who knows what would happen if the New York Times reported this earlier... They may spin it!

Excellent observations Tammy... This has been something that we have been yelling about for a very long time. Al Qaeda and Hezbollah have an exceedingly strong presence in South America and it is well known in the intelligence communities that Venezuela has training camps for terrorists and is in league with Iran, N. Korea and Cuba. Another point from this morning's on our blog:

The name connected to this plot is “Adnan el-Shukrijumah.” That name was mentioned on Fox News this morning. Although officials are claiming they were watching this plot for a year in Trinidad and that this was amateurish and not well organized, don’t be fooled… This name is the name of THE most wanted terrorist in the United States. Please see yesterday’s post: This Man Leads Nuclear ‘9/11′ Plan - http://noisyroom.net/blog/?p=19626

Adnan was the "fixer" behind 9-11 and has earned the name "Mr. Cellophane" in counterterrorism circles. He has resided in Guyana for some time and is heavily connected to the Salvatrucha gang in Mexico and the US. He has passed as an American, Canadian, Latino, Saudi, Yemeni, Italian, and as someone from Trinidad. See Paul L. Williams book 'The Day of Islam' for more info. We also heard that Mayor Bloomberg had knowledge of three separate Iranian groups who were 'casing' New York - they were expelled from the US. Wow, I'm sure that hurt... NOT... That was also on Fox News this morning.

Your show is our favorite by far - we listen every chance we get and you are featured in our daily Noisy News Around the Web - because frankly, we feel you are right 99.9% of the time and we share your views on Islamofascism and illegal immigration...

We do feel blessed by God, and we are ready to kick ass... 8)

"We have no interest in blowing up anything in the U.S.," Isha said Saturday from the couple's home in Guyana. "We have relatives in the U.S."

While I'm not really in the mood to be generous, this could be viewed as the person offering "proof" because she knows she won't be believed due to circumstances.

It could be viewed that way. If one were feeling generous.

Good observations, Tammy. I will link to this post. Oh, and by the way, I enjoy listening to you when you sub for Laura Ingraham.

Fantastic Catch Tammy..and spot on. When I heard about this the first thing I saw on our friend Geraldo was a man representing the Guyana American something or other..Here we go, right? UGH. Also the question over and over all day was, "Was this for real, or simply wanna be terrorists?" WTH does that mean? Like you said, if their family lived over the bomb zone how would they feel..We have been screaming for years, yet why do I feel no one has been listening? That, and how long before this story is moved off the headlines? Hmmm..
