Like Martha Stewart, I believe Paris Hilton was a "tool" of the justice system - they made an example of her. The Duke lacrosse players experienced this too - thank God that backfired.
A rich celebrity who isn't an out an out liberal or a minority is VERY expendable. Like the Duke players, anyone perceived to have money, as long as they are not demorats (intentional sic), are clay pidgeons for the media and our justice system. It's politics.
Ignore the real big fish, the Clintons, the Kennedys, Sandy Burglar et al, and just feel good knowing that our justice system is just and that the media is on your side, fairly demonizing the bad guys.

I think what angers me more than anything else is how some people(like Geraldo River and Sheriff Baca) keep whining about Paris being treated WORSE than a regular citizen by receiving jail time for her crime, where a non-celebrity would have gotten no time at all in the pokey.Based on all the information I have, she was given probation, had her license suspended and required to sign up for alcohol treatment when she was first pulled over for driving under the influence, the same punishment that you or I would have received.

It's only after she was caught driving a second time, speeding with no headlights, that the judge gave her some jail time. I am quite sure ANY citizen would have met the same fate under those circumstances.

As for her medical condition,I too spent a few days in jail for outstanding traffic warrants, and sure enough, you start to feel VERY claustrophobic after a short time in the tiny cell. But you just deal with it because you know that they're not gonna let you out and if you start acting out they might just send you to the psycho ward.I suspect that was Paris's 'medical' condition,or at least a part of it. I have absolutely no sympathy for her.

....and the chicken wings at Hooters suck!

>>Protesting a Hooter's Restaurant?
Who are you to deny an American male his right to chicken wings?

Say what you will...they make some of the nest damn chicken wings this side of The Colonel. Their burgers are pretty good too.

Not to mention the calendars.

I would think feminists would be in favor of women showing the power of making money because of the silliness of men. It's all on how you ...look at it (pun intended), I guess.

It's amazing just how having lots of money and a whole lot of camera face time and no other known talent will make a person in Hollywood.

After she gets out of jail, I hope she becomes a victim of the Michael Jackson syndrome, and just goes away. Although he's much more talented.

I've been a dedicated Tammy fan after 9/11 after hearing her by accident on Dr. Laura, and the inception of her radio show, and since then bought all her books.

I vaguely remember the incident at Hooters, when she happened to question the cop for something minor (or question his authority), and gets arrested.

O.K. I can't help myself. Why were you arrested at an anti-Hooters "restaurant" protest in San Antonio? None of my business, but you brought it up! Thank you in advance for the details.

You've got to be kidding me. For Some reason, I don't think the ADA is going to stand up and scream mistreatment on her behalf.

I still think it's a shame that she doesn't have a cellmate.Although I suppose that being jailed with Paris would probably be cruel and unusual punishment for the cellmate.

I did find it interesting how, only three days after being sent back to the slammer, she has found God and plans on being more "spiritual".

Give me a break.

As far as the claustrophobia......I noticed those jam packed smokey enclosed nightclubs don't seem to bother her much. ADD.....this woman is just so silly. I don't know what bothers me more the fact that the media discusses her as if she is 12 or that she has no shame about these pathetic antics. I would want them to lock me up for years after this just so I didn't have to face anyone I knew.

I'm starting to think the correctional systems is missing a grand opportunity for improvement. They should allow these wealthy people to "fix up" the prison accomodations to feel more suitable with the condition that all their improvements remain intact after their departure. At the rate LA is going they could have completely remodeled prisons, state of the art, in no time at all.
