As we analyze whether or not Newt Gingrich is Miss Cleo, who the ‘08 tickets might be comprised of, and why, exactly, Hillary wouldn’t mind having Obama as the VP. After all, Bill and Hill need an intern, one, at least, she can trust.

The legacy of today’s feminized, sissified, “sensitive” Western leaders: too afraid, too guilty, too brainwashed by the worldwide Left to finish off the barbaric enemy.
LGF reports mass murdering, Iranian death squad Hezbollah, during the Israel-Hezbollah-Lebanon war, would have surrendered in ten days had Israel (via pressure from the failed Rice-Bush Surrender Axis) not called for a cease-fire.
“The cease-fire acted as a life jacket for the organization [at the end of the Second Lebanon War],” a Hizbullah officer said in an interview aired by Channel 10 on Tuesday.
In the interview, the unnamed officer said Hizbullah gunmen would have surrendered if the fighting last summer had continued for another 10 days…The officer shown on Channel 10 said the organization’s gunmen had been running low on food and water and facing rapidly diminishing arms supplies.
And George and Condi worry about their legacy. They should, because now it centers around their helping terrorist organizations in the Middle East survive–Fatah, Hamas, Hezbollah, al-Qaida, Iran, Syria, etc, etc, etc. May they both be haunted by nightmares for the rest of their appeasing, deluded lives.
I just don’t want there to be any reason for my death to be sped up or facilitated in some way by doctors who think someone else will be better off with what I have when there’s a medical crisis. And as long as prisoners are receiving state and federally funded organ transplants, there’s no way I would even consider being an organ donor unless I or my friends could at the very least control who the organs go to.
…Prosecutors in San Luis Obispo County said Dr. Hootan Roozrokh, 33, of San Francisco, gave a harmful drug and prescribed excessive doses of morphine and a sedative to 26-year-old Ruben Navarro, who died in 2006.
Navarro was taken in a coma to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, 150 miles northwest of Los Angeles, in 2006 after suffering respiratory and cardiac arrest. Although Navarro was found to have irreversible brain damage and was kept on a respirator, he was not considered brain dead because he still had limited brain function.
The day before Navarro died, his family gave approval for a surgical team to recover his organs for donation. That didn’t happen, however, because Navarro didn’t die within 30 minutes of being removed from life support. He died a day later.
Roozrokh, a surgeon at Kaiser Permanente’s now-closed kidney transplant program, was working at the time on behalf of a group that procures and distributes organs. The prosecutor’s office said in a statement that the drugs were prescribed “to accelerate Mr. Navarro’s death in order to recover his organs.” [...]
The coroner’s office this year determined Navarro died of natural causes. Last month, his mother, Rosa, filed a wrongful-death and medical malpractice lawsuit against Roozrokh and others, claiming her son was removed from life support without her permission and given lethal doses of drugs.
UPDATE:
Debbie Schlussel has a post looking at this case, asking why Roosrokh isn’t being charged with murder, and some funny business being engaged in by other doctors who are Muslim. (HT Tink in Comments)
Sorry about the ‘Best Of’ program today but I seem to be battling a bit of a chest cold. It’s been creeping up on me as what felt like fatigue but early this morning it was obviously an effort at a chest cold. Whenever I feel a head cold or throat issue or something else knock on my door, I’m lucky in that if I lay low even for a day and sleep whenever my body tells me to I’m able to keep it from gaining hold, ruining several days instead of just one. So, that’s my plan for today.
So I’m curled up on the Tammy Couch in the Power Shack, with my java. Sydney and Snoopy are staring at me, having no clue why we’re hanging out and it’s not Sunday, but then Snoopy jumps on Syd’s head and they’re back to the chase game.
Consider this your Open Thread in the meantime, as I will now take a gander at the news that’s worthy of pontificating about. Or…what I would have spouted off on during Tammy Radio.
Lots of No Big Deals lately, huh? Most reports are casting the event as insignificant, resulting in ‘minor scrapes.’ A local Maine report, the state where the Chief Justice was vacationing at the time of the seizure, reports something apparently more ominous, at least at the time.
St. George Ambulance responded to a call at about 2 p.m. Monday of a man who had fallen 5 to 10 feet and landed on a dock, hitting the back of his head. The patient was ashen and was foaming at the mouth. National news report quotes a Supreme Court spokeswoman as saying that Roberts was conscious the entire time of the incident. That spokeswoman has not returned a telephone call to the newspaper.
Even this report indicates doctors found the seizure to be ‘benign.’ Still, it does not make one comfortable when the Chief Justice, at 52 years old, is having a seizure and foaming at the mouth for no real reason. But maybe that’s just me.
UPDATE:
The debate now among the experts is that the Chief Justice may have epilepsy.
As far as I’m concerned, every single corrupt elitist in Washington needs to be booted, and fast. The letter after their names has become irrelevant. It is pretty obvious to me, however, that corrupt Republicans and the corresponding scandals helped to cement the 2006 Democrat victory. Foley. Delay. Cunningham. Ney. Need I say more?
The latest to be investigated is the senator from Alaska, Republican Ted Stevens, believed to be on the take for quite some time. Dealing with politicians on the take, especially Republicans, means that side of the aisle, which has at least been a bit more helpful on issues involving the war and illegal immigration, won’t be so vulnerable in ‘08. Let’s get rid of as much of the stink now so it won’t haunt us when the chips are down.
FBI Searches Home of Alaska Sen. Stevens
The FBI and IRS have searched the home of Republican Sen. Ted Stevens in a ski resort in Alaska as part of an investigation into his links with an oil-services company, officials said on Monday.
“The FBI and IRS are conducting a court-authorized search warrant in Girdwood, Alaska,” an FBI spokesman said in Washington, but gave no further details…
Stevens is the subject of a grand-jury investigation into his links with managers of VECO Corp., the state’s largest oil-services company, as well as numerous unrelated fisheries matters.
In May, Bill Allen, then the chief executive of VECO, along with a vice president, Rick Smith, pleaded guilty to several federal corruption charges. The two admitted paying over $400,000 to bribe Alaska lawmakers.
Allen had been a financial supporter of Stevens’ campaigns and a partner with him on a race horse. He also oversaw the a project to remodel Stevens’ Girdwood home in 2000, vetting bills and construction work.
Yeah, I hate it when I run a checkpoint at a nuke plant, hit the gas when I’m asked to stop, crash into a barrier, and then take off running. I mean, it happens to often, it’s now just no big deal.
I especially like it when no one shoots at me to stop me and I am able, in fact, to run away on foot. It’s fun.
Car Crashes at Nuclear Weapons Plant
OAK RIDGE, Tenn…Guards at the Y-12 nuclear weapons plant, a primary storehouse for bomb-grade uranium, said the man “appeared to be impaired in some way” when they stopped him around 5 a.m. at a security checkpoint near a rear entrance, spokesman Bill Wilburn said.
They asked him for identification, but the man hit the gas and drove through the checkpoint, then crashed into security barriers a short distance away, Wilburn said.
“When he hit that, he jumped out of the car and ran away. He left the car there with the engine still running,” Wilburn said. He said the guards told him the car had been hot-wired… Steve Wyatt, spokesman for the National Nuclear Security Administration in Oak Ridge, which oversees the Y-12 plant, downplayed the crash, saying it was “next to nothing.” The plant makes and dismantles uranium parts in nuclear warheads.
My usual 10:20am ET (7:20am PT) segment. Have not been told what the subject matter is, but it will deal with a political headline of the day.
Wouldn’t it be nice if I could spout off about the Michael Vick situation!
UPDATE:
Well, it wasn’t about Vick. The segment focused on Newt Gingrich turning into Miss Cleo and ‘predicting’ that the Dems would nominate a Clinton/Obama ticket. That takes real insight. Inoted that it makes perfect sense, in that Hillary will be governing with her sex-addict husband (they see this as ‘their’ third term of course) and wouldn’t want a VP who would actually have to be dealt with when it comes to ideas and policy. Instead, Obama would make the perfect little Clinton intern, waiting his turn for what everyone would assume would be an 8-year training period.
That is the arrogance which pervades the Clinton camp. I think they, like the Amnesty Repubs and Dems, will be quite shocked in November 2008 when they find out we can’t be bought.
Captain Obvious is reporting that yes, it seems likely terrorist group Hamas will use the $100 million plus in U.S. aid to Fatah when they were the terrorist group running the Gaza Strip. Hamas captured weapons, ammunition and CIA secrets and now the geniuses who thought it would be a good idea to give money and weapons to terrorists are afraid the Unapproved-Of Terrorists will use that booty to kill Israelis and, well, I suppose everyone else on Earth if they have the chance.
Hamas Victory Brings Secrets
When the Islamist group Hamas conquered the Gaza Strip in June it seized an intelligence-and-military infrastructure created with U.S. help by the security chiefs of the Palestinian territory’s former ruler.
According to current and former Israeli intelligence officials, former U.S. intelligence personnel and Palestinian officials, Hamas has increased its inventory of arms since the takeover of Gaza and picked up technical expertise — such as espionage techniques — that could assist the group in its fight against Israel or Washington’s Palestinian allies, the Fatah movement founded by Yasser Arafat.
Hamas leaders say they acquired thousands of paper files, computer records, videos, photographs and audio recordings containing valuable and potentially embarrassing intelligence information gathered by Fatah. For more than a decade, Fatah operated a vast intelligence network in Gaza established under the tutelage of the Central Intelligence Agency…
Funding known terrorists is bad enough, which is exactly what we’re doing when we give money to Fatah. But what do we do when those terrorists also end up being inept, and run like frightened dogs leaving all our aid and secrets behind? Why, throw even more money at them of course! A report from about 10 days ago highlights the rank absurdity of how we do business, and exactly what George W. Bush thinks we should be doing with our tax dollars:
American President George Bush will on Monday offer new support for the Fatah-led government of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, marking a higher profile effort to resolve the Middle East conflict.
Bush will announce $190-million (about R1,3-billion) in new aid to the Abbas government according to a US official who spoke on condition of anonymity…The $190-million is for the current fiscal year 2007 that ends on September 30. That aid is in addition to some aid programs that have already been announced, including $86-million (about R602-million) the administration has requested from Congress that was intended to provide security for Abbas.
And this from a man who refuses to use federal tax dollars on stem cell research because it’s “immoral.” He doesn’t even bother to even make an effort to appear consistent. Protect embryos, save fetuses, fund terrorists. Genius.
Despite the fact that Bush has cut anti-terrorism funds for American cities, we have, somehow,m managed to find $20 billion in military aid for September 11th terrorist home country Saudi Arabia.
Hillary has announced she wants to create, with your tax dollars, a ‘Public Service’ Indoctrination School. Who can blame her? With the leftist takeover of the public school system, from kindergarten through the academy, we are now turning out functionally illiterate, fully indoctrinated little leftists. Half of college graduates may not understand the average newspaper editorial or be able to navigate a street map, but boy, they sure know that America is bad and Republicans are evil.
Hillary now wants that same success rate for ‘public servants.’ You know, everyone who wants to be in government as staff or even elected to office will have to be ‘educated’ by one of her government’s fully-funded ’schools’ of Correct Thought and Progressive Politics. Let’s see if this public genuflect to Marxist theory is noticed by anyone else:
Presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton told college Democrats on Saturday she would create a national academy to train public servants.
“I’m going to be asking a new generation to serve,” she said. “I think just like our military academies, we need to give a totally all-paid education to young men and women who will serve their country in a public service position.” [...]
An older woman carrying a sign that said “She doesn’t care, all she wants is the power” yelled at Clinton while the New York senator was speaking in a ballroom on the University of South Carolina campus. Students attending the College Democrats of America convention shouted down the woman down and pushed her from the room.
It looks like those College Democrats have learned their lesson in “Silencing and Removing Incorrect Thinking Dissenters.” Here’s to Progressive Feminism in action! We certainly can’t have older women speaking their mind, now can we? Especially when it just might expose Hillary Clinton for what she really is.
Lastly, it looks like one of Vick’s friends and alleged co-conspirators in this horrible enterprise has agreed to a plea bargain. Tony Taylor is alleged to have actually been the man who purchased the pit bulls for fighting and then personally murdered the dogs who didn’t perform well. While I don’t like the idea of scum like that being offered a deal, if it gets us the rest of these maniacs, then so be it.
A federal judge has overturned their two city ordinances geared at saving the town from being swamped by illegal aliens. One ordinance fined landlords for renting to illegals, and the second removed the business license of a business which employed illegal aliens.
The judge who overturned these ordinances cited the fact that immigration is a federal issue, but Hazleton wasn’t setting immigration policy they were enacting local commerce policy. To say nothing of the fact that the ACLU, which sued Hazleton, was allowed by the judge to keep the plaintiffs anonymous, and they didn’t even have to appear in court. In other words, Hazleton was never able to face their accuser. Yet Mayor Lou Barletta says the fight is not over.
A federal judge struck down Hazleton’s illegal-immigration ordinance Thursday, calling it unconstitutional in a groundbreaking decision that will reverberate throughout the nation and affect more than 100 other communities considering similar laws…Mayor Lou Barletta, who gained national attention for his passionate support of the Illegal Immigration Relief Act, said the city will appeal the decision to the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia and, if necessary, to the U.S. Supreme Court.
”We are not going to stop fighting for the quality of life that we value here in Hazleton,” Barletta said. ”I realize today that we’re not only fighting for Hazleton any longer, we’re fighting for cities all across the country.” [...] The ordinance would have imposed heavy fines on landlords who rent to illegal immigrants and businesses that hire them. Barletta introduced it in June 2006 after several violent crimes he attributed to illegal immigrants who followed thousands of Hispanics to Hazleton, which has more than 30,000 residents…
Foster Maer, an attorney with the Puerto Rican Legal Defense Fund, called the decision ”historical. Â… It delivered a body blow to the efforts by localities to legislate immigration.”
The town of Hazleton now can appeal to the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and to the US Supreme Court, if necessary, but that takes money. They have set up a website where you can donate and I encourage you to do so. Nothing bothers the Elite more than Commoners and local towns taking control of their lives. Let’s help Hazleton defend itself. They have set up a website, “Small Town Defenders”, where you can donate to their defense fund. I have done so and encourage you to do the same. Thanks to this fund, Mayor Barletta hasn’t spent one dime of taxpayer money defending the lawsuit. Let’s keep it going.
The New York Times was especially tickled by the reversal. The American Thinker has plenty to say about their editorial, “Humanity vs. Hazleton.” It is one more example of how depraved the Elite have become, and how willing they are to make excuses for a group of people who believe their being here illegally entitles them to more rights than the average American, even at the expense of the survival of an entire American town.
