Americans Fed Up-Majority Want Comprehensive Illegal Alien Crackdown

A new Rasmussen poll illustrates that Americans had have enough of the social, cultural and economic chaos brought by illegal aliens. Super majorities favor a cut of federal funding to "Sanctuary Cities" as well as ID cards and tracking for 'foreign visitors' in general, and we want that damn physical fence. Not a virtual one of cameras, and motion detectors. We want a real F-E-N-C-E. Which, btw, would not only make it more difficult for illegals to get into the country, it would also make slipping across the border back into Mexico, by fleeing mass murder suspects as an example, a tad more difficult as well.

71% Favor Requiring Foreign Visitors to Carry Universal ID Card

Fifty-eight percent (58%) of voters nationwide favor cutting off federal funds for “sanctuary cities” that offer protection to illegal immigrants. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 29% are opposed. Republican Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney proposed such a plan earlier this week.

By a 71% to 16% margin, voters also favor a proposal that would require all foreign visitors to carry a universal identification card as proposed by another GOP Presidential hopeful, Rudy Giuliani. Seventy-four percent (74%) also favor the creation and funding of a central database to track all foreign visitors in the United States.

By a 56% to 31% margin, voters want the government to continue building a fence along the Mexican border.

I do have a feeling, however, that Bush will not be discussing this sentiment of the majority of Americans when he meets with Harper and Calderon in the next few days. That's fine, let them waste their time as they wallow in their own little world. Bush is more than welcomed to spend his last 18 months in office fighting us abut whatever he wants. And we will win just like we did last time when the fate of our nation hung in the balance.

We are coming closer to a point in American history where Americans, are going to begin saying to politicians, "Your stupid pc-correct laws, or the lack of enforcing current laws, is not acceptable. Your attempting to turn us into a socialist union will not be met with passive acceptance. You no longer represent the will of the American people, nor the spirit of the Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. We will not obey you. You are our servants, not our masters."

In other words, chaos and/or the American people realizing that complacency doesn't work and that - I hate to use this oft'quoted phrase - the bums are bums and must be thrown out of office in the name of national security and our individual freedoms.

I am a 53 year old registered Independent. The Republicans have disappointed me for the last time. That said, I would vote for Fred Thompson and/or Tom Tancredo. Am I a racist? Nope. Couldn't care less the hue of one's skin. Do care, thou, of individuals who invade my country and claim it to be theirs.

Americans have willingly gone to war and to possibly die so that theirs may live free, and themselves too if they were lucky enough to return alive from distant shores. They've done such because America has represented fairness, and they believed 'fair' would come to pass. Sadly, that is not the case anymore. The United States Congress, and George Bush, slowly but assuredly, are depleting Americans desire to go to war. Because - ding, ding, ding - they are slowly but assuredly trying to tell us what is wrong is right, and what is right is wrong.

What is wrong with our american judicial system and our law enforcement? My wife and I spent the whole day in court and did not even get to appear before the judge. Too many mexicans that did not speak english and had to have an interpretor which took twice as long. The Fact is that my wife and I had to take the whole day off of working legally, and now have to go back the next day hopefully to been heard. The law enforcement treats hard working citizens like criminals and the judicial system is so backwards that the innocent are guilty until proven innocent. What happen to america, where are the heroes? We cannot go anywhere without our govt interfering by taxing more and pushing around the people who really run this country, you and me. So much to be said and not knowing what to do.
