And This Required A Study?

Sheesh.

CIA internal inquiry finds agency failed to prevent 9/11

WASHINGTON (AP) -- It took an act of Congress to force the CIA to lift the veil on its watchdog's internal investigation that lays out the agency's many failures in the months and years before September 11, 2001.

Three CIA directors disparaged the document. Multiple requests under the Freedom of Information Act collected dust. Finally, on Tuesday, with the clock ticking on Congress' 30-day deadline to release the report, CIA Director Michael Hayden reluctantly caved in.

Completed in June 2005, the report lays out in greater detail what has long been known: The CIA's top leaders failed to use their available powers, never developed a comprehensive plan to stop al Qaeda and missed crucial opportunities to thwart two hijackers in the run-up to September 11.

Must be a misprint. AS recently as 3 years ago my President GWB told me that Tennent was a good leader and did a great job at the CIA.

Or - are your telling me that GWB tells many lies!?%#!The man I voted for is a liberal liar; can not be! GWB lied to me?!@#%&!

I just bought and started reading the book "Sabotage" by Rowan Scarborough and it clearly shows that the CIA has been more interested in thwarting the President than thwarting the terrorists. The CIA, like the State Department, needs a total overhaul to get rid of people who care only about their leftist political agenda and not their duties and responsibilities of protecting the United States of America.

Will someone please remind the American people of the "firewall" constructed in part by Gorelick during the previous administration? It is astounding that she was on the 9/11 commission --- she should have been testifying under oath to the commission!

Hmm...I sure hope the freedom of information act can be used to explain to me why we need to waste tax money to re-hash the obvious.

Well, Bush gave Tenet a medal of freedom which I think we all know means that the person in question did a "heckuva" job. So I'm not worried about this report in the slightest. Lousy liberal media.

But.. but.. I thought 9-11 was Booosh's fault.

But.. but.. I thought Islam was a religion on peace.

DAVES- Not a day goes by that I don't ask... "How do they (the dims) get away with this stuff?" But Jamie Gorelik (sic?) being a 9-11 "commissioner" has got to be in the top five.

HOW. DID. THAT. HAPPEN.?

If we make it, which I believe we will, our great grandchildren will shake their heads in disbelief at the things these fools got away with.
