Edwards: I'll Surrender Faster Than Bush

As though this sort of statement about the nation which is supplying the munitions and training that is killing our troops, will make us all want to vote this man into office. Exactly what have the American people said or done that gives this clown the impression that we want to get romantic with crazed genocidal maniacs? So, here's what we do know: the Edwardses are afraid of Ann Coulter and Fox News, but they're ready to be Ahmadinejad's Monica. Got it.

Edwards would open talks with Iran if elected

U.S. Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards says, if elected next year, his administration would open direct talks with Iran to try to contain Tehran's nuclear ambitions...Edwards does not rule out the option of military force, saying: "With a threat so serious, no U.S. president should take any option off the table."

But he would be prepared to engage the government of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a way that has not been done since the United States severed relations after Tehran's 1979 revolution...U.S. officials said on Wednesday they may soon designate Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps as a foreign terrorist organization in a move targeting the finances of the group. It would be the first time the United States has placed the armed forces of a sovereign government on its terrorist list.

Edwards said "instead of saber-rattling about military action, we should employ an effective combination of carrots and sticks" and try to isolate Ahmadinejad from moderate forces within his country while continuing to offer Iran economic incentives for good behavior.

The Edwardses should take some time off writing fundraising emails on the back of Ann Coulter, and should read a little history. I would suggest checking out WWII history books that focus on two guys named "Chamberlain" and "Hitler." It might shed some light on what happens when you think you can make headway appeasing monsters.

It's really amazing that the BEST the democratic party has is "Herself", Osama Obama and this dufus! And it will be even more amazing if the Republican party even comes close to losing to one of them!
