On O'Reilly Tonight About The American Gestapos

**UPDATE 9/27: Hot Air has the video and a great discussion going on. Thanks Bryan :) **

One of the most damaging and dangerous events in American society and politics has been the co-option of the Democratic Party by George Soros and his establishment of a variety of leftist special interest groups which essentially act as political and media gestapos.

Tonight on O'Reilly we'll be talking about the increasing attacks he's been under by the Soros Media Gestapo, Media Matters. Once again, the left, via MM, has resorted to their default position in attempting to demonize someone, specifically by calling O'Reilly a racist.

But the story isn't O'Reilly noting that the black community in New York is not as helpless or victimized or "different" from everyone else as victimiologists Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson like to portray. No, the real story is the fact that we have gestapos out there determined to demonize independent voices who dare to criticize the leftist status quo as designed by George Soros.

In actuality, Media Matters' message, when they attack a Bill O'Reilly is really a message to everyone else: Look at what we do to him if he says something we can twist. Imagine what we can do to you. Also meant as an intimidating warning is the fact that MM (the new SS) tapes and watches everything non-leftists do and say in the media.

Ultimately, you will see these sorts of attacks ramped up as we move into the 12 months prior to the '08 election. The left, Soros, and his political and media thugs, cannot withstand independent voices and they will work overtime to silence them. Let's make sure these new gestapos fail.

I've already posted a link to the Investor's Business Daily investigation to George Soros, and that link will stay there, but it's worth noting here as well. David Horowitz's "Discover the Networks" also provides an excellent backgrounder on Soros and his insidious agenda.

UPDATE:

The segment will be very close to the opening of the show. I think he opens with an interview with Al Sharpton, and then comes to me .

UPDATE 9/27:

For those of you emailing me claiming that George Soros has nothing to do with Media Matters, let me disabuse you of that notion. Here's some background you should be aware of which details the association with Soros and the efforts to keep that as obscure as possible.

Media Matters for America (MMA) spokeswoman Sally Aman responded to Cybercast News Service's questions with an e-mail. "In response to your query regarding donor funding Media Matters for America has never received funding directly [emphasis mine] from George Soros," Aman stated, no longer denying any relationship with organizations affiliated with Soros.

So, for those of you liberals who honestly support this effort, you must ask yourself and MM, Why is the association with Soros being obscured? Why the word games? It's a simple question and one they don't want to have to answer. If you're serious about wanting clear background information about Media Matters (and I know plenty of clear thinking liberals who are not afraid of information) here are two backgrounders: one for Soros and where his tentacles lead and one on Media Matters.

I really don't get OReilly. In his segment with you, Tammy, he is responding to Media Matters lableing him a racist, obviously. So what does he do? He chooses to have AL SHARPTON (race baiter) on the very same show. Why? So Sharpton can give his seal of approval to Bill OReilly? Does Bill need Sharpton to tell the black community that OReilly is really "an ok guy"? Sharpton has NO credibility and is about as much of a "Reverend" as my big toe! Why does Fox invite such a charlatan on the network? Whenever OReilly interviews Sharpton he turns into the world's biggest suck-up and it's embarrassing.

As for your segment, Tammy, it was staightforward and thoughtful. I would prefer if OReilly had your balls though, and called out those like Sharpton that deserved to be put on front street about HIS own racist tendencies.

Off topic - Al Sharpton (we knew him as Alfred Sharpton) was a classmate of mine in Junior High School (now they call it Middle School) back in 1967 -68 in Brooklyn, New York.
Good work Tammy, I enjoyed your segment. As a matter of fact I always enjoy both yourself and Dennis Miller whenever they are on O'Reilly or Hannity & Colmes. Thank God for Fox News and the Internet blogs such as yours, Little Green Footballs, Powerline, frontpagemagazine, and lucianne.com - otherwise I would have been forced (actually I would not have watched it after awhile) ABC 's World News Tonight with Palestine Peter Jennings. I remember when Jack Cafferty was a likable news anchor on the local NBC News in New York City - now he is a snarling, nasty, curmudgeon on CNN.

Great job, as always Tammy! Spot on and reasoned.
As for Bill O, his, "I am an independent and they all pick on me" routine is getting quite tedious..Having said that, I agree with Girl, Al not so Sharpton deserves no media attention and Bill O should no better.

More Tammy TV please..

Posted by: Trinity [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 26, 2007 06:58 PM

I thought you were wonderful. However, I sort of feel that O'Reilly is sort of narcissistic. As Trinity said, his little being picked on routine is getting tiring.

The smear by calling one a racist has been used by the MSM/DNC for over 50 years; with much success. It originated with “news”men on 2 different networks 57 years ago Cronkite and Huntley. By 1952 these “news”men on different networks had formulated and used to great success “the Ugly America” format. Everyone they did not like :Ike, tail gunner Joe, tricky Dice,… was a racist. This is a form of what logisticians call “poisoning the well”. It worked very well for the MSM/DNC in the Duke Rape case 15 months ago. Not so well now.

Trinity - - I agree with you. Bill is a left wing Republican. A died in the wool Republican who happens to hold leftist views; but hates Democrats. He’s as independent as Bob dole .

Posted by: Rod [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 26, 2007 07:35 PM

Correction - make dice dick and it works better.

Posted by: Rod [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 26, 2007 07:38 PM

Thought you did really well, Tammy. And this time (unlike some previous appearances), Bill actually let you talk! Well done.

Posted by: fiona [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 26, 2007 08:06 PM

Tammy you were perfect this evening! You and your bloggers are correct, Bill is being too self absorbed to realize the attacks on him are for securing Dem/Indpendent votes. The trick for the GOP is how to crack the voters flying @ 50k ft who only hear the news in passing. Any ideas?

:)

It isn't about Bill O'Reilly, folks. He's just the latest target in a very dangerous environment. Any media personality designated by the fascist left as an enemy of their progressive agenda is subject to this sort of smear attack. The goal is to intimidate and suppress political opposition. This is what happens in totalitarian states. It is clearly happening here now, not by the direction of a dictator, but by the voluntary complicity of the press in the furtherance of an ideology that will destroy us.

We are facing something really sinister up ahead. These fascists are determined. They have convinced themselves they are on the side of righteousness. They are jihadis with pens instead of swords. A sword chops off heads one at a time but the pen can fell many with a single stroke. This is extremely serious.

Posted by: pat_s [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 26, 2007 08:33 PM

The liberal tv networks are after Bill O'Reilly because he is kicking their asses in the ratings. I don't blame Bill for defending his name and reputation and calling these guys out onto the carpet. I wish he'd sue for defamation - even though as a media figure he'd have a slim chance of victory. At least in the court of public opinion he'd be heard. He is really one of the only tv people who will expose the left's immoral tactics, motivations, and their true agenda. Go BILL!!!!
And Bill's confidence does not equal narcissism.

Tammy,

You are so well-spoken, intelligent and photogenic that I have no doubt Fox will recruit you. As much as I will miss your radio show, I will be happy for the country when that day comes.
Your regular appearance on TV could make a huge difference in the political landscape.

Great job on O'reilly's show.

Posted by: jdb [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 27, 2007 08:59 AM

I agree wholeheartedly with you, Pat S. Your observations are incredibly astute.

Especially when you pointed out:

"It is clearly happening here now, not by the direction of a dictator, but by the voluntary complicity of the press".

It seems to me that one of the first things we should do is to NOT accomodate our current society's (and the media's) expectation of Politically Correct speech, which is only meant to silence and/or water down points of view that challenge the status quo.

However, I percieve that Fox, although seen by some as a conservative network, is just as embroiled in the same directives as corporate America and the Diversity crowd when it comes to the P.C. culture. Which is why I made my comment about Bill OReilly. When speaking to so-called minority leaders or when discussing the illegal alien issue for example, he definitely uses lagnguage of more "sensitivity" and doesn't have as much of an in-your-face approach as I've seen him use with others on his show.

Of course you're right. This isn't about OReilly, and I agree that he was treated unfairly in the accusation of being a racist. But we see this everywhere, and character assassination is the fascists' M.O.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that we need to stop playing by their rules, and stop letting whatever name du jour they care to call their opposition, bother us. We do after all, I believe, have the truth on our side, and we need to be confident in that and perhaps not even dignify their allegations with defensiveness. To do so only makes us play THEIR game and gives them power.

My comment was only to express my dismay at the platform and credibility given to those that clearly don't deserve it on Fox, and specifically on The Factor. And the juxtaposition of having Tammy follow Al Sharpton made the offense even more glaring.

Posted by: girlsgotrhythm [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 27, 2007 09:08 AM

I wouldn't be surprised to find Soros bidding for Rupert Murdoc's media holdings through some sort of front organization. The problem with (us) Libertarian types, is that we don't want to be controlled and manipulated, and we don't want to control and manipulate others, either. That makes us shy away from seeking public office by nature. The collectivists (and I put the dems and the current crop of republicans in the same bucket here) want power and control over our lives and will do anything to get it.

Posted by: mrfixit [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 27, 2007 10:39 AM

Can't we just get it over with and arrest Soros already and send him to Gitmo for waterboarding? He may have escaped the Nazis, but he wont escape Dick Cheney! And smearing people by printing verbatem transcripts and letting them hang by the petard of their own words should be punnishable by waterboarding, too! And who couldn't believe such overwhelming evidence of a Brock/Soros connection than this: "...[T]here is no evidence Soros gave directly to Brock and Media Matters..." There is more evidence that George Bush's BFFs in the Saudi Royal Family gave money to 9/11 hijackers (did you know that Rudy Giuliani was mayor of New York on Sep. 11th?) than Soros gave money to Brock. In fact, you could use the same argument in the Cybercast News Service article that connects Soros to Brock and connect Bush to the 9/11 hijackers, I.E Bush is friends with the Saudi Royal Family, the Saudi Royal Family gave money to the 9/11 hijackers, therefore the 9/11 hijackers were funded by Bush. Isn't that ridiculous?

Posted by: calipyian [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 27, 2007 11:07 AM

GIRLSGOTRHYTHM,

I understand. Too many of us allowed the mindset and the jargon to seep into our speech in part because the media was willing to sign on to it. Decent people accepted the surface arguments for "sensitivity". Now that the ulterior police-state motive is showing it's ugly face, the enablers want help defending themselves. We have to lend them a hand of support for our own sake but would really like to strangle them for pulling us into this mess in the first place.

As Tammy has often pointed out, it's hard for regular folk to comprehend the insidious nature of the left.

Posted by: pat_s [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 27, 2007 11:09 AM

Being a realist doesn't mean you're a racist. But the left will always make it so. As a result, their M.O. is becoming painfully obvious and undeniable. People can now see this more clearly than ever before, fight back, and start reversing the trend.

Hey. If the shoe fits, just wear it. Take responsibility, whatever your race.

The left is all about excuses and never reasonable solutions. Opportunists abound. And it's lousy we have to be afraid of repercussions for being honest and speaking the truth. Demonization be damned.

Posted by: Kimj7157 [TypeKey Profile Page] at September 28, 2007 04:58 AM

"People can now see this more clearly than ever before, fight back, and start reversing the trend."
I think you overestimate people. I know intelligent(?) people who buy in to this malarkey. Granted, I live in NYC and am surrounded by progressives but no, they don't think for themselves or look for the facts. They believe the one who shouts the loudest or is the bigger bully. I hope for the best but brace myself for the worst.
