please someone do a "separated at birth" picture with this photo of Madonna and Mae West, in her heyday. Good god, they could be twins.

Local Malcontent - you took the words right out of my mouth.

Let her have lived my life and we'll talk about how good she looks and about the wear and tear one takes when one does not have the bucks, plastic surgery, and army of people to make sure she looks a certain way.

There's so much to find attractive in older women, both inside and out. Even when I was young college whippersnapper I'd usually find myself chatting up the 'more mature' ladies that were so far out of my league it was laughable!

FWIW, please...never...EVER...put THE BEATLES in the same sentence with Madonna. That's like comparing Gregory Peck to Paulie Shore fer cryin' out loud! Geezis.

But...she CAN'T SING!!

What? Oh, right. Marketing. Black magic. It can happen with anything. Like with the Beatles, and Kiyosaki. I get it.

I don't like it, but I get it.

Every woman could look this good at 50, if she had a plastic surgeon, a dietician, a personal trainer, and a beautician; and if her livelihood depended on looking as good as possible for as long as possible. My Missus is 60, and shows the effects of a lifetime of worries big and small, child bearing, hard work, occasional poverty, and putting up with me- in other words-beautiful.

Yeah, the Warner Bros. decision is exactly what I was thinking here, too-
Madonna's always been one smart cookie, bizwize.
Kelly's right, too: The notion that women peak then go downhill is BS, Madison Ave. style.
Women are His second best gift to us all!

Getting older isn't fatal, unless we buy into the notion that it is. I'm happier at 42 than I was at 32 or 22, that's for sure.

Congratulations to Madonna and to all the other women over 40 who break through barriers, be they self-imposed or externally created.
