Yes, you heard me right. Now the tallest building in New York, because Islamists knocked down the other two tallest building in New York in their act of mass murder, will be commemorating the end of Ramadan by going green from Friday through Sunday. This must stop. This act is an insult to every who dies on September 11, but to the 4,000 plus who have died fighting Islamists since then. But there’s a bigger issue: all this pandering sends a message to the enemy and everyone else that we must feel guilty about something, which of course, confirms in the minds of the genocidal enemy that they’re right to kill us.

You can make a difference. The Empire State Building has a comment page on their website. Use it. Be respectful, but convey your opinion about this act. It has nothing to do with Islam and everything to do with a pandering which places lives in danger.

Both LGF and Debbie Schlussel have been on the case.

Wow—Political Correctness to a dangerous extreme.

I notice they list it on their site as “Eid-al-Fitr”, the proper name (instead of Ramadan) which many of us wouldn’t even recognize thus challenge. Thanks for the “rear its ugly head”s up.

Well, I went and did it but it wasn’t easy…my suggestion would be to have everyone leave their messages in the same place. I put mine in the lighting section under public relations. Please everyone, give them lots of messages so we can stop this P.C. B.S. Dr. Bob

FWIW I visited the ESB site and left my comments.

You know, we don’t hang out the nazi flag or the rising sun, so I don’t think we need to pay any homage to islam. They should be grateful that internment hasn’t come up as a policy idea.

This comes as no real surprise when you consider the fact that our own House of Representives recently (Oct. 2) wasted time, and our money, on the following:

House Recognizes the Commencement of Ramadan

What the !@#*?? I am sick to death of all the pandering and the “bend-over-backwards”, multi-cultural crap that has run amock in this country. If the Leftists prevail in ’08, we are doomed. There will be no turning back, I’m afraid.

Sorry the above link doesn’t work. For what it’s worth, the bill was H.RES.635.

I “commented” the following on the Empire State Building web site:

I am wondering if it’s worth the extra cost to light the Building for Ramadan considering that Islamists killed 3000 people in New York without an overwhelming outcry from other Muslims?
Plus – it smacks of pandering to the terrorists. They come over here and kill 3000 innocents and we show honor and respect to their religion? Shouldn’t they show respect – if not at first – then at the same time as we do? I have not heard of “any” Muslim clerics stating that during Ramadan it would be a good time to remember the innocent killed by their brethren, and renounce the violence! If it was a group claiming to be Christians – we would be renouncing them LOUD and CLEAR – they were not Christians because Christianity says we are to love others! Not Kill them. Christian leaders would be reaching out to the people to make this point clear.
We can show respect for Ramadan without going too far and appearing to be pandering and placating them. Remember that pandering and placating helped bring on WW11. Do you really want to add to the march towards WW111 with the Muslims?

    Hi,

I couldnt help but notice, most of the comments both from Tammy and the users are anti-muslim.
There are 1.3 billion muslims in this world, a few less than .001% of them are terrorists, that doesnt make all 1.3 billion muslims evil.
OpenMinded_Conserv, muslims and their leaders do renounce the violence both in 9/11 and everywhere in the world. 9/11 was as much of a shock and loss to them as it was for us. You are saying christian leaders would be reaching out to make their point clear but muslims dont?
I dont see our church leaders reaching out to clear the point that they are not phedophiles? How many of them have been accused of it in the recent years?

Our troops are sacrificing their lives everyday in Iraq to prove America is a democratic, fair and freedom for all with Liberty, Justice and pursuit of Happiness, irrespecitve of Caste, Religion or Creed. What message are we sending if Muslims dont even have the freedom of lighting a building green??

Not all muslims are terrorists. But all terrorists are muslim.

Let them build their own 1500 ft tall skyscraper and light it green.

Oh that’s right- they can’t build anything more complex than a roadside bomb.

“OpenMinded_Conserv, muslims and their leaders do renounce the violence both in 9/11 and everywhere in the world.”

Please sight some concrete examples of widespread, meaningful “renouncement” of 9/11, or any of the terrorist attacks being committed by muslims, from within the muslim community at large. The terrorists may be extremists, but they are still muslims. With 1.3 billion muslims in the world, you’d think we would have noticed the outrage–somewhere… .

“9/11 was as much of a shock and loss to them as it was for us. You are saying Christian leaders would be reaching out to make their point clear but muslims dont?”

    Yep.
