Nondescript Youths Terrorising France Again

madviking.jpg

If France would just stop letting those Vikings in all this just might come to an end. When will they learn that people who arrive on Long Ships wearing metal helmets with horns bring nothing but trouble?

Further rioting in Paris suburb

Youths have fought running battles with French police in a second night of violence in a Paris suburb, leaving more than 60 police officers injured.

Five of the officers are said to be in a critical condition.

Rioting began in Villiers-de-Bel, on the northern edge of Paris, after two teenagers riding a motorbike died in a crash with a police car on Sunday. The youths who died were of North African origin. Similar riots rocked mainly deprived French suburbs in 2005....

Gangs of youths attacked police with petrol bombs and stones. Police say firearms were used against them, injuring several officers...

The events have brought to the surface the simmering resentment and hatred among many young people in poor French suburbs towards the police, our correspondent says.

On Sunday, about 30 cars and several buildings, including a police station, were torched in Villiers-le-Bel and neighbouring Arnouville.

In the entire article not once is the word "Muslim" used. You, too, will be amazed at exactly how many euphemisms the BBC can find in order to avoid the dreaded words, "Islamic jihad" which is exactly what this is, and what France has been dealing with despite the violence being characterized as everything but. It is also one of the reasons why Sarkozy won his election. Now let's see if he clamps down again or gets stricken with the virus known to shrink the manhood of certain national leaders. After all, he did visit President Bush. Let's just hope Shrunken Balls Syndrome isn't contagious.

More "fake but accurate" reporting by the MSM. Or as we used to say when I was a "youth" - more "War is Peace!" reporting by the Press.
I have nnot herd the MSM referd to as "the Press" since Nixon; but "...a rose by any other name..."

But the man I voted for in 04 coined the term "R.of P." a month after 911 so the lies are not the exclusive property of the MSM. Need proof? Check out who GWB invited to Md right now!

Let's hope France has enough alternative media to get out the word (all of Euorpe for that matter). Where is Paul Revere when you need him-- one if by angry youth, two if by jihad.

Ah, those misunderstood Viking youth. They're just angry because French television showed Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd in "What's Opera, Doc?", Warner Brothers' version of Wagner's The Ring Cycle.

Where is the cultural sensitivity? Cartoon portrayals of Vikings is an affront!

How many virgins are waiting in Valhalla for someone who kills himself on a stolen motorcycle?

Seriously though, I think a fair estimate of the Viking rationality can be gleened from this line in an earlier report: "Witnesses have accused the police of leaving the scene and of preventing local people from trying to help the youngsters as they lay in the road." That is pretty neat trick. I assume this means that as the police left, they told bystanders "Don't help those boys".

Actually Tammy it's "yutes" who are rioting n Paris suburbs.

When I was a "youth" I hung around the Long Beach Ca. boys club. When I was a "youth" I fished the pier by the Nu Pike in Long Beach Ca. When I was a "youth" I took half-day fishing trips out of Norms Landing in San Pedro Ca. When I was a "youth" I played softball at Daniels Field in San Pedro Ca. Gee whiz (Rich B sighs...) I missed so much not growing up in France. One last thing. When I was a "youth" I knew the difference between right and wrong.

Sarkozy has a complex relationship with the "youth" of the banlieux----when, as Minister of the Interior, he called them "racaille" (scum) back in 2005, they burned down the ghetto areas in response.

So...you could kind of say that Sarkozy created the crisis that he was elected to deal with.

Right on RICH B:
Let's just hope we can save the good life down near the water's edge in San Pedro.

RICH B

When I was a "youth" I went to THE PIKE. Of course Ike was President when I was a "youth". We all knew right from wrong 50 years ago. Those who said they didnt were branded as both liars and crooks. Which is what they were and probably still are.

Posted by: Rod [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 27, 2007 02:57 PM

It just gets worse. This is a quote from an AP story about the third night of rioting: "The trigger was the deaths Sunday of two minority teens when their motorscooter collided with a police car in Villiers-le-Bel, a blue-collar town on Paris' northern edge." Apparently, according to the AP style book, "their motorscooter" means the same thing as "the motorscooter they just stole and were riding at high speed without helmets."

Posted by: Paul From Hamburg [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 27, 2007 09:01 PM

Sarkozy was right back in 2005. What these "gangs of youths" perpetrated--then and now--sounds like scum to me. They may more accurately be described as "Islamic Jihadist" scum, but scum nonetheless. HE didn't create the problem. He was just willing to speak honestly about it.

Posted by: Kimj7157 [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 28, 2007 02:52 AM

Oh, it wasn't Viking youth. "Today on AOL" that AOL news pop-up of sorts they do when you sign in, says they are guerillas. So, you see, the zoo gates must have opened for the gorillas to get out. They just need to be roped back in.

Europe always depicts the USA as a horrible culture that forces minorities into poor slums. Whenever there are racial incidents in the U.S., it's all the government's fault, and not the perpetrators. Now Europe is experiencing similar problems.
How incredibly selfish of poor, uneducated 3rd world immigrants w/o a culture of education who are welcomed into and supported by 1st world societies to immediately expect to live just as 5th generation Europeans do. We have the same problem here. Liberals deviously blame the poverty of recent immigrants and those who do not embrace education as a byproduct of cruel Republican policies and the European media gleefully parrots it. About time Europe knows what it's like to be in our shoes.
