5:44pm PT: A bit late (I got stuck in traffic). Just came in to the discussion about immigration. Obama said illegal aliens are “scapegoats” when it came to unemployment and the bottoming out of wages in the black community. Talk about a new Barack fairy tale. Hillary, on the other hand, said we have to admit that unemployment and other issues are related to illegals.

Hillary just also noted that people on the radio and television are in “another universe” when it comes to illegal aliens, then went into her comprehensive amnesty plan. This just before a question on driver licenses for illegals.

Oh, she’ll give driver licenses to the illegal aliens once she gives them amnesty, because to give it to them ahead of their amnesty would be “exacerbating” the situation. Like amnesty won’t.

Sheesh.

Barack is stumbling all over the driver license issue. He, too, has said it’s a non issue once we give them amnesty.

Hillary just touted the fact that she co-sponsored an amnesty bill in 2004 even before Barack got to the senate. Woo hoo. She just had the gall to say that criminalizing giving illegal aliens help (federal help?) would have also made Jesus Christ a criminal. When was he an illegal alien? What the hell is that? And she once again complains about people wanting to “round up” and deport “tens of thousands” of illegals

Ha! She also just said she was against driver licenses to illegals because it puts them at risk by exposing them as illegal aliens!!! Hahahahahahahaha! So her new position is to make sure illegals are protected from the scary Rule of Law until she gives them all amnesty. Absolutely priceless.

Tonight is a lovefest of liberalism. Unless Obama finds the nerve to take Hillary on, tonight will be remembered as the night he lost the nomination. Randy,

Are you sure this isn’t the Oscars?!!

Did they let any of the real American public in?
What’s up with Diane Keaton in that stupid hat?

The way they are acting towards each other, do you think there could be a Obama/Hillary or Hillary/Obama ticket?!!!!

Luckily, I remembered to get out my shovel and boots prior to tuning in.

  4. Kaeghl says:

Oh, come on now. The real reason to give illegal aliens (I refuse to call them immigrants) is so they can go out in lock step and vote for the people that gave them licenses, come the next presidential election cycle.

All you need in most states is a driver’s license to register to vote, CITIZEN OR NOT!!!!!

You don’t even need that to vote in Chicago, IL. All you need to do is be dead. The cemeteries in Chicago-land are full of registered voters that vote the straight democratic ticket.

  5. DEM because I say so.. says:

I think Shrillary needs Barack on her ticket, but Barack doesn’t need her.

Also, Tammy, I think the point she was trying to make about Jesus Christ was that his “compassion” towards people in general would have been considered “criminal”, such as the churches compassion towards illegals is considered criminal.

Dunno, I could be wrong. Won’t be the first time!!

Sorry I was not here for open thread. Thoughts? (and may the Conservatives not jump down my throat for this) What I saw tonight made me ask one question. Who do I trust as Commander In Chief?
While I do not support John McCain and the thought of him in social policy makes me wretch, the thought of either of those two makes me think of either a wimp (Obama) or a militant socialist nazi (Hillary). I simply can not stand by and not vote.
I saw the Ann Coulter post today claiming that she would vote for Hillary over McCain, but hyperbole from her does not fly with me.
This was the debate that shock my world. I will support Mitt Romney in the NY Primary on Tuesday. However, I know what RRWD or what he would tell me to do; he would tell me to fight. I will fight from within my party. I will not allow those two to get control of this country for four years. WE simply can not afford it.
So, will I vote for McCain if he is the nominee, oh Lord..yes, I will. (again, I have had a hard day, I am in shock here.) To me it is a matter of national preservation not my own ego or hurt feelings. I vlogged it, I blogged it, I vented.
I want my country protected. John McCain will do that as far as the Islamofacists are concerned. The other issues, well, we fight him on it. We have to get busy my friends. I have never sat out an election, I won’t start now. I won’t sit home and salk, I won’t let my nation down.
To those that will sit home, I respect your choice. But I ask, with the deepest respect, you try and understand that the war is the most important issue to me and allowing either one of the surrenderist to take control of CIC would be defeat.
    Okay, let me have it..

Thanks Trinity, I was having the almost exact same thought process last night. Although Ann doesn’t bother me so much. As much as I CAN NOT stand McCain, he is better that the other two. I too will be voting for Mitt on the 5th (along with most people I know) but I can not bring myself to sit home in Nov and not make an effort to keep Hil or Obama out. As a side note, I have had to laugh about the “I can control my husband” stuff coming from Hil, because we have seen the control, how many affairs have there been?

  8. Young American says:

First of all, thanks Tammy for taking one for the team and having to suffer through this debate to keep us informed. You’re a stronger woman than I.
For those who would just sit this out either to send a message or because there would not be much of a difference between Juan and Hill, think the cabinet.
    *Silky slick Edwards, Attorney General
    *John Murtha, Secretary of Defense
    *Dickie Durbin, Secretary of State
    *Teddy Kennedy, Border Security
and a Chuck Schumer or Dirty Harry Reid as the veep…..

I still have faith that the conservative base will do the right thing and vote Romney for the candidate to whip Hillary. We have four days to blitzkrieg and try to stop the McCain Express.

I will think positive and hope I don’t have to go to the polls holding my nose and gaging while I pull the lever.

  9. Trinity says:

Hi Jennifer..and thanks for the back up on this one. What a tough call this was for me.
Hillary controlling her husband was a LOL moment. Actually, a spit out the coffee moment!
I guess we both should pass out clothes pins in November for the base, huh? ROFL!

If McLettuce becomes the nominee,I personally will sit this one out. Here’s why. Hillary is totally unacceptable,in my book. So let’s say I decide to vote for McLettuce,if only to keep Billary out of the White House, and he goes on to win the Presidency…then what? Look at who he’s keeping company with.Giuliani,Terminator and other moderate Repubs. What I see is an attempt by these moderate politicians,to move our party to the center. Now this might sit well with Tammy and others who aren’t particularly fond of the anti-abortion foes in our ranks, but for the evangelical conservatives,of which I am one,and others of similar views, this is disasterous. The Republican Party that Ronald Reagan knew might be gone forever,if we allow McLettuce to become President. If we sit this one out,McLettuce will most likely lose, the Dems will win and have to suffer the citizen backlash that will surely come when the Dems proceed with their tax increases and such, and meanwhile the conservatives can work on getting their party back to it’s conservative roots…..where it can wait patiently for the Dems to screw things up and the NEW AND IMPROVED REPUBLICAN PARTY will once again take the reins of this great country of ours! HOOAH!

  11. MCB says:

If the election turns out to be Hillary v. McCain, I will sit it out. However, if Obama it is Obama v. McCain, I will vote for McCain to stop Obama. Does anyone see the danger posed by Barack Obama – an inexperienced, naive far left liberal with questionable links to Islam? I know that many on our side of the aile want to stop Hillary at all costs, but has anyone thought of what would happen if Obama would beat her and get the Democrat nomination? The media is head-over-heals in love with him. Simply for campaigning, the Republican nominee would be denounced as racist. Obama-mania and the cult of his personality would rein supreme. At this time of war, an Obama Presidency would put the country in far greater danger than a Hillary Clinton Presidency. At least the Clintons know what they are doing and would not want anything bad to happen on their watch. Of course, given the choices on our side, I hope McCain is stopped and Romney gets the Repbulican nomination and is victorious in November. A President Obama would be the worst outcome of this election.
