One Difference Between McCain and Obama

Despite McCain's absurd attack on a conservative radio talk show host for going after Barack Hussein Obama, in another speech he illustrated one major difference between himself and The Great Tax Raiser, Surrendering Uniter--McCain made it clear he will not surrender to al-Qaida. While that's nice, it's pretty pathetic that we have to be thankful one guy is running for president who promises to not bend over for the enemy. From a McCain camp press release, responding to comments made by Obama during last night's debate:

Where is the audacity of hope when it comes to backing the success of our troops all the way to victory in Iraq? What we heard last night was the timidity of despair. Our allies deserve better, our soldiers deserve better, and so do the American people.

Thank goodness for small favors. Personally, I'd like to see McCain's commitment to keeping Iraq sovereign and safe from terrorists applied right here to our own vulnerable borders. But I guess that's just too much to ask.

This has gone beyond the absurd. He's all for staying the course in Iraq. Great. But that should be a given to any rational person. As should the security of America's borders.

After realizing that he needed to win conservatives and gain their support for the general election, McCain has once again added insult to injury, in his hands off approach to Barack Obama, which seems to be the same as Hillary Clinton's. And his apologetic, wimpy, P.C. guardedness says to me that we are done for. It's over.

This is beyond sad. I've been sorely depressed in trying to accept that McCain has the Republican nomination, thinking about him, being our next president. But SOB....he may not even WIN against the likes of Barack Obama!!!!!!! How foxtroted up is THAT?

We are in for terrible times ahead, I fear.

Do you really trust a guy to be strong on national defence when he insists on leaving the doors wide open. NOT ME!! I'm voting for Hillary. She's the most conservative & the most predictable.

It continues to interest me that Tammy and others on her blog rip Obama up and down, and yet also appear to be totally unhappy with McCain.

It seems you all must be feeling pretty disenfranchised with your presidential choices this time, and you can imagine this lack of enthusiasm will contribute largely to a GOP defeat this November.

I am perfectly fine supporting Obama even with disagreements I may have with him on specific issues. A big reason to me for this is that I feel many overestimate the power of the POTUS when it comes down to laying policy that the population disagree with. Look how impotent Bush is now largely that he can't get a damn thing through Congress now as an example.

Obama has shown me to be a man of principle and leadership, and is the strongest of the 3 principals left in those measures.
