I think M. Ebenezer Obama is projecting just a tad. But, yeah, let’s move her right into the White House. It’s only fair. Normally we elect people who like America. Isn’t it time to elect a couple who really, really, hate us? Michelle’s approach is actually rather amusing, considering her husband keeps complaining about Hillary using the “politics of fear.” So what exactly has his wife been spreading around? The Other Obama
Obama begins with a broad assessment of life in America in 2008, and life is not good: we’re a divided country, we’re a country that is “just downright mean,†we are “guided by fear,†we’re a nation of cynics, sloths, and complacents. “We have become a nation of struggling folks who are barely making it every day,†she said, as heads bobbed in the pews.
From these bleak generalities, Obama moves into specific complaints. Used to be, she will say, that you could count on a decent education in the neighborhood. But now there are all these charter schools and magnet schools that you have to “finagle†to get into. (Obama herself attended a magnet school, but never mind.) Health care is out of reach (“Let me tell you, don’t get sick in Americaâ€), pensions are disappearing, college is too expensive, and even if you can figure out a way to go to college you won’t be able to recoup the cost of the degree in many of the professions for which you needed it in the first place. “You’re looking at a young couple that’s just a few years out of debt,†Obama said. “See, because, we went to those good schools, and we didn’t have trust funds. I’m still waiting for Barack’s trust fund. Especially after I heard that Dick Cheney was s’posed to be a relative or something. Give us something here!â€
“Give us something here!” Says the woman who makes over $300,000 a year as a hospital administrator. Illustrative words spoken by an angry, miserable, ungrateful, hypocritical, entitlement Leftist.

“Hospital administrator” is generous of you: she’s some kind of communications outreach blahblahblah job that’s BS even compared to your typical paper-pusher.
I am beginning to suspect the entire Obama candidacy is a sinister propaganda conspiracy to manipulate me into welcoming Hillary with relief rather than disgust.

Wait a second….so…being a cynic is a bad thing? I’ve found my cynicism to be one of my better qualities.
I’ve also looked at fear not being such a bad thing. People do amazing things when facing fear head on.
The Obama hypocrisy is slowly coming to light. One thing that hasn’t been touched on very much is that, although they talk of including everyone, they attend a church that does not allow all races. That’s just the sort of leadership I want for this country….along with a case of hemorrhoids.
Cynics, sloths and complacents is a perfect description of the Left.
But all of this is supposed to go away once Daddy Barack starts giving away “free” stuff, right? Well, we all know how successful LBJ’s “Great Society” has been these last four decades, don’t we?
It seems like every time Michelle opens her mouth, Barry’s negatives go up.
I say, by all means let this woman speak!
With any luck, this thing’ll go all the way to the convention, at which point she’ll have completely destroyed Barry’s chances of EVER mounting a credible run at the White House.

On another note, what’s with these democrats and their shady real estate deals? Also, since BJ was asked about his underwear while he was campaigning, is it only a matter of time before Michelle (her slave name?) gets asked if her husband is hung like a horse? That appears to be the level of political discourse these days.
It does appear that one of Obama’s biggest problems right now is the fact that he can’t seem to get his wife to shut her big Marxist maw. It’s difficult to conceal your true colors when your better half is out there flapping her gums like a naked emperor.
The next couple of months should be interesting. I better run to the wholesale club and stock up on popcorn.
I think that patriotism starts when you are very young. I myself became patriotic when I was a child when I read about Daniel Boone, “The Swamp Fox”, Davey Crockett, Buffalo Bill, etc. A love of history, particularly American History will do the trick. Nowadays political correctness runs amok and we are into deconstructing our heroes.

When BHO dropped that line about Americans traveling overseas not being able to say they’re proud Americans, I found that deeply offensive.
Dude, you’re not running for President of france, pakistan, or russia. You’re running for President of the United States. Here’s a newsflash: people hate us in many parts of the world. They hated us under jimma carter and they hated us under Bill J. Clinton. And they’ll hate us under you.
Your job is to convince ME, not ivan, jacques, or osama.
Isn’t it amazing the Obama’s hate us so much they want to run the place? Isn’t it amazing we’re so mean and so bigoted that we let them have a genuine shot at running the place. Isn’t it amazing how big M. Ebenezer Obama’s mouth is and just how many of her feet she can fit in it at one time?
Pensions are disappearing because they’re being replaced by 401(k) plans and IRAs. Given that these plans are portable and offer more flexibility in the final value of the benefit, this is a good thing.
Don’t get sick in America? Where should you get sick instead?
College is too expensive? Whose fault is that? And how many careers are there where a college degree is a sine qua non?
If I were making $300,000 a year, I’d be a whole lot happier about America than Mrs. Obama.
Mickey O declares that health care “is out of reach in this country” yet she makes over 300 g’s working for (gasp!) a hospital!!
Talkin Horse– You’re so right. Though I had thought of it in a much simpler way, having decided that if I bumped into Hillary and Michelle in a dark alley I would jump happily into Hillary’s arms.
We should put Michelle and Barry on that Fox show that is so painful to watch, “The Moment Of Truth”. As a twist the rules should be as follows:
Barry and Michelle have to win the cool million or he is disqualified to run for president. For those of you who don’t know the show the quest for veracity is so brutal that Michelle would have to throw a lamp at his head( metaphorically speaking)if he got past 3 questions about Michelle.

If Michelle becomes the first lady, I could see her on a massive redecorating campaign. The Clintons tried to cart half the place off. When Michelle is done you won’t recognize the place, — as the saying goes…
I’m with you on that MRFIXIT. Can’t you see the “White House” painted lime green with purple shutters and a robin egg blue front door!!! that way they wouldn’t revoke her ghetto pass. If she didn’t paint it, she wouldn’t be a “down” sista.

I was thinking more on the lines of the state ballroom decorated with gold fringed red velvet drapes with a sickle & hammer print going on. And perhaps the Lincoln bedroom could be redone as the MLK bedroom. The State china, selected by Nancy Reagan, could be replaced with hand thrown earthenware, and wooden utensils. The sylings of 50-Cent could play in the elevators. What fun!
