Yes, we know who "Kristen" really is, and no, she's a not a mid-to late 20s supermodel genius who was bored with the world and decided to become a prostitute because that's what she enjoys most in life. Instead, her alleged background reflects the experience of most prostitutes--drug use, abuse in childhood, homelessness. Generally a young women leading a desperate life. And she's 22, just a few years older than Spitzer's oldest daughter. This is, on so many levels, not a "private matter" on Spitzer's part, and illustrative of a deeply rotten core.

In the meantime, Silda Wall Spitzer's friends have noted Silda's attitude toward Hilllary a decade ago when the sexual compulsive she's married to was revealed. Let's just say it's a Silda that's a tad different than the one we've seen the past few days.

March 13, 2008 -- A decade ago, as she watched then-First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton humiliated by her intern-loving hubby, Silda Wall Spitzer made clear her intentions if Eliot ever cheated.

"That would never be me. I'd be gone," Silda told friends, a pal told The Post.

But Silda, for the second time in a week, donned a tailored designer skirt suit and appeared to be standing by her hooker-loving hubby yesterday, even as the fairy tale has soured behind closed doors.

Funny how things change. Thanks Silda. I'm sure your daughters also appreciate you being your hooker-loving husband's prop. We certainly don't want to send a message that using a prostitute close to your own daughter's age would at all affect your marital image. Can't have that.

When the news broke, I felt bad for Silda, but as the story keeps going, I'm less inclined to feel sorry for her.

After all, she must have known that Eliot was a first-class jerk. You can't be married to someone for close to 20 years and not know what kind of person they are. So when he bullied his opponents, used state troopers, threatened his way to national prominence, etc, Silda didn't seem to have any problems with that behavior. Instead, she seems to have enjoyed the lifestyle that being married to an aggressive pitbull of a state AG, and then governer, gave her. So, really, I'm not at all surprised that she stood at his side during both pressers, and she even tried to convince him to NOT resign. Why, if she were an aggrieved wife, would she do those things?

Because of the power. Because she knows that she wouldn't be in the position she is unless it was because of her husband. Which is why Hillary hasn't divorced Bill. And we all know this.

This has nothing to do with teaching her daughters about how men and women should treat each other. She knew all about Spitzer's arrogant and bullying character, and it suited her fine as long as she got the keys to Manhattan apartments and the governer's mansion in Albany.

I also do not feel so sorry for her any more. Reports were that she told him not to resign so fast (as if he might ride it out). Also Poppa Spitzer (Eliot's daddy) is worth at least half a billion dollars - she and the children will be living luxuriously for the rest of their lives.

I definitely feel bad for their kids. Silda I'm not so sure about. Isn't she the self-described "Teutonic War Goddess?" Sounds like she's a bit of a mal-nar herself. Could be she and Baldy are matching A-hole bookends living-out an "arrangement." Small point but isn't the surname "Wall" (Silda's maiden name)of English origin not "teutonic" (Germanic)? Hey, here's a coincidence: "Kristen" the hooker attended Wall High School.

English is a Germanic language, and "wall" is the same word in both English and German, as well as in English's closest Germanic sister-tongue, Dutch.

Ashley, a.k.a. Kristen, is now world famous as the Woman at the center of governor's downfall. That makes her sound like Eve in the Garden of Eden. What a joke. Monica Lewinsky had more of a relationship with Bill Clinton than this girl had with Spitzer. She was "the package". Spitzer even had to ask who it was this time. Excerpts from federal prostitution complaint:

At approximately 4:58 p.m. Temeka Rachelle Lewis, a/k/a/ "Rachelle," the defendant ... told Client-9 that his package arrived today, and Client-9 said good. Lewis asked Client-9 what time he was expecting to have the appointment. Client-9 told Lewis maybe 10:00 p.m. or so, and asked who it was. Lewis said it was "Kristen," and Client-9 said "great, okay, wonderful." Lewis told Client-9 that she would give him a final price later.

She's far from being the protagonist in the undoing of a powerful man. It's only now she's seen as a human being.

I'm not so sure that Silda won't drop this guy. Her body language suggests that she's furious but she's keeping her rage in check. JOELN has it right in the comments. My guess is Ms. Spitzer will wait for the media attention to die down and then serve him with divorce papers; perhaps early 2009. I believe this to be true for Hillary as well; she won't become president and Bill's usefulness to her is just about at an end

britney gets a little breather, with all this going on.........i think hillary and silda should hook up.........it must have been my license plate lawsuit that put spitzer over the edge and into that prostitute's arms. "GETSPTZR"- my next plate.
