Screaming obscenities at First Lady Laura Bush and daughter Jenna while promoting their children's book, and then punching a girl in a wheelchair when he's told to stop it. I'd say the left is getting just a tad more mentally ill, and I'm sure Hillary is thrilled this is the new core of the Democrat constituency.

Bush Heckler Arrested After Punching Wheelchair-Bound Girl

A man heckling First Lady Laura Bush and daughter Jenna outside the 92nd Street Y was arrested after he punched a wheelchair-bound girl whose parents had told him to shut up, authorities said Wednesday.

German Talis, 22, was shouting obscenities at the Bushes, who were leaving the building Tuesday, when he crossed paths with Wendy and John Lovetro and their daughter Maureen, 18, who has cerebral palsy.

They had been in the audience to hear the Bushes talk about their children's book, "Read All About It."

"He began yelling about Iraq and Iran at Jenna Bush. She was waving at the crowd. I told the guy, 'What are you doing? Shut up. This is about a child and books,' " said John Lovetro. "He was unperturbed. I said, 'Get out of here! You're being a moron!' "

The next thing he knew, Talis was allegedly punching Maureen, a fan of the first lady since meeting her in 2004.

Why did this piece of excrement live long enough to be arrested? If I'd seen a man attacking a wheelchair-bound woman, I would have commenced gouging his eyes out with my keys. Not to mention what her father should have done. As Boortz eloquently said about this story: “If that’s my daughter and you punch her in the face, you die.”

German Talis is not on the Left. He's with an organization called We Are Change. Google them. An article by Paul Joseph Watson entitled "NY Post Smears Activist" states:

"The fact that numerous eyewitnesses, who were ignored by New York police, assert that it was Talis himself who was the victim of an assault metered out by the girl’s father - John Lovetro - leaves Talis with no option but to pursue a lawsuit against the New York Post, as he stated on The Alex Jones Show today.
"Both articles depict Gary [German] as a heartless villain, attacking a handicapped girl—all of which is the furthest from the truth," states a We Are Change press release. "Gary did not and has never lifted a hand toward any citizen, as confirmed by all witnesses. We will be releasing a video interview of Gary after his release from central bookings explaining exactly what took place, followed by the witnesses, all of whom corroborate his statement."
"Eyewitness Dianne Lipson told this website that John Lovetro made aggressive gestures towards Talis, cocking and waving his fist, before pursuing Talis into the side of a building.
Lovetro began punching Talis repeatedly as Lovetro’s wife begged him to stop and the girl in the wheelchair began crying."

This evening I personally heard an interview by Ms. Lipson saying she wanted to make a statement with the police but they did not allow her. In fact, We Are Change has the incident on camera which they intend on using as evidence to support their case.

How is The Dumbass a victim in all this? I went to the link you provided and what I saw was an inept, brainwashed piece of crap trying to challenge secret service before launching into a disruptive tirade of typical hate-spewing venom toward Jenna Bush, then toward those in attendance. Sure, he has rights to free speech, but we all have a right to free speech and duty to react when someone is being stupid.

Oh, and how convenient that the camera just happened to break when the conflict with the father of the disabled girl began. Then a camera magically emerges in the aftermath. Yeah, very convenient - and ever so convincing of The Dumbass' 'victimhood'.

I can guarantee that We Are Change made it a point to get cameras on the Bush's appearance and to instigate. That's what self-absorbed, arrogant, politically motivated a**holes do.

If I'm not mistaken, this group of 9/11 cun*spiracy nutjobs have had to change their stories many times over in light of facts kind of getting in the way. This is a group of 20-somethings who think they are smarter than everybody else, and who feel they are the annointed ones who have found 'The Truth' and everybody else is wrong, wrong, wrong.

Listen, The Dumbass brought this all on himself. He was behaving like a typical punk toward a secret service guy who was there to protect Laura and Jenna Bush. The Dumbass wanted to argue and instigate - and have a perfectly prepared camera to catch his stupidity - until it involved hitting a disabled girl. He was/is too effing incompetent to put things in their proper place: Laura & Jenna Bush are talking about a children's book - not the war, not Iran, not terrorism. But leave it to a hate-mongering, self-obsessed, arrogant fanatic to foist their agenda on everyone and not have an effing clue what they are talking about.

While We Are Change (should be countered w/ a site called You Are Effing Stupid) is defending this 'activist', there is a family being persecuted by this organization and some in the media. This family just wanted to attend the appearance and were not there to instigate - unlike The Dumbass. Their daughter was indeed caught in the fight and received blows. You probably won't hear much about that though. You see, her family were not out looking for attention nor trying to push an agenda.

I heard the disabled girl on the radio yesterday. She was not an invited guest, but she called on her own and floored the host (Sean Hannity). She sounded very childlike and did say that she indeed received blows from The Dumbass. She was also bothered by what she sees appearing on blogs - hateful assessments of her father and seeing him blamed for all this. She also mentioned her family's address has been published. Though We Are Change may not have published her family's address, they certainly are not innocent. Frankly, I would not be surprised to learn We Are Change are solely responsible for publishing it as they have no problem blaming her father for the assault and smearing his character.

Leave it to The Dumbass Idiot Bastard to try to make himself appear as a 'victim' after beating on a disabled girl.

Does anyone else see a pattern here?

This to me seems like a very collectivist type of argument.

One individual, who happens to be part of a certain group, hurts someone in a wheelchair, therefore all individuals who are part of that same group hurt people in wheelchairs or condone hurting people in wheelchairs.

That's the same as when there's one neo-Nazi kook who is Republican, so everyone goes, "See! All Republicans are Nazis!"

Of all people, I would think Tammy fans would not assume someone guilty until proven innocent. How righteous is that? I simply presented an alternative report on the same story for your consideration. I am not trying to twist truth as perhaps this NY newspaper did in this case ('cause we all know how accurate NY journalism is). "Truthers", in my opinion, are people just like us that are tired of getting effed and are actively seeking to expose lies. No matter whose lie it is, it should be exposed.

The problem is that the "truthers" are not out seeking to expose lies - they exist specifically for the purpose of disseminating lies. Period.

The problem that you have is that by using them as a source, you call your own credibility into question. It isn't about "guilty until proven innocent" from any of us fans of Tammy - that's what the "truthers" do. In fact, the "truthers" have made it out as "guilty even after being proven innocent".

Here's something just as interesting: I was looking for some more information on this news story and everything leads back to Fox News. No other news agency is carrying it on their own.

Do we know if Maureen was hit INTENTIONALLY by this guy or whether she was just caught in the middle of blows with the dad? Not that anything excuses his behavior at all, but the thought of someone intentionally punching a disabled person disgusts me more than if he was fighting with the dad and a blow accidentally struck her.

Just my thoughts.

The truth of the matter is truther organizations are in fact leftist in origin. The point being that it's better to blame our government for the deaths of over 2000 people than the people who killed them. Truther organizations do use similar tactics to the National Socialist Party in Germany in the late 1920's and early 1930's. Hence, the comparison. When dealing with the left in modern society one must remember that the left's primary tools were formed during the last century and are used with great skill. The creators of the techniques are people like Goebbles and Stalin. These are people the left seek to emulate in this country.

Punching a disabled girl isn't out of character for people on the extreme left. These people still believe in eugenics as means of making the human race better. It's scary and it's a serious problem. But if you choose to throw your lot in with these people you'll find victimhood is a coldly comfortable place. Just be prepared to throw your friends overboard should they violate the party line.

After more thought as promised, I’m making use of this “thought-police free” space (?) to make another appeal knowing that the true-truth will set us free--not the truths we desperately want to believe. Here’s an allegory. A man and woman married in their youth. They were passionately in love and worshiped the ground the other walked on. She admired his courage, trusting his promise to cherish and protect her ‘til death they did part. He drew strength from her belief and confidence in his noble character. He was an innovative thinker with a great sense of humor. Their future was bright and beautiful. Years went by and their relationship changed. He was coming home later and getting phone calls at all hours from ‘co-workers’. She found receipts to restaurants they hadn’t been to nor could she reach him when he was away on business trips which were getting longer and more frequent. She refused to call his strange behavior in to account because, after all, he was doing all this for her and the kids. How dare she be ungrateful and suspicious, even silly for pete’s sake! His anger at her even questioning such a thing caused her to be silent. She became heartsick and nauseous at the thought of his cheating so she put it out of her mind. Would he really do that to her and the children? How could she be so foolish as to have trusted him all this time? How would she survive if she left? Where would she go?! NATIONS GIRL, don't waste your time trying to reason with angry, frightened people. You seem like a rational, well-intentioned person. Today I heard Tammy Bruce compare Ron Paul supporters with the Heaven's Gate cult. That should give you some insight into how extreme things have become. Remember that one truth can support the weight of a thousand lies but a thousand lies cannot support the weight of one truth. We will soon discover the truth or fiction of this attack on a handicapped girl. I am waiting for things to be revealed. You should do the same. I should have spoken up earlier on your behalf. We all want to know the truth but we are also frightened at what may be happening to our country and to us. And by the way, it really discouraged me to hear my hero, Tammy, make such a blanket indictment of so many well-intentioned patriots.
