Stealth Publisher of McClellan's Book--George Soros

LizardLounge-174.gif

Well, whaddyaknow!

Without the internet we would never learn of connections like this. A Lizard over at Little Green Footballs has alerted Charles Johnson to whom, though deeply buried, the publisher of McClellan's book is indeed--George Soros. The excellent research and links are all there.

All hail the Lizards!

WHY oh WHY isn't this front page news???

Posted by: KatieSilverSpring [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 29, 2008 09:56 AM

Amazing investigative work from that Lizard! Still kind of waiting to see if McClellan tries to claim victim here.

He was one of the worst press secretaries I have ever watched. Yes, some were boring, some were irritating, but Scott was stupid. Contrast his work with either Ari Fleischer or Tony Snow. Scott was like a grade schooler.

President Bush has been ill-served by his Texas team. Providing a litany of the players isn't necessary, but McClellan has been one of the weakest. So much for loyalty, more the paycheck. Now to hear that he was not an active participant in meetings, just kind of a non-communicative lump. No ideas, no insight.

This is about as surprising as when the sun rises and sets.

The big winner here has been the poor people at MSNBC....all the strong folks migrated over to FOX quite a while ago. That includes Roger Ailes, too. The funny thing is that David Shuster (sic) is still doing general reporting for Matthews and Olbermann....hope he writes his book, too, so we can find out the inside over there...recall when they used to have Bernie Ward and Weiner (aka, Weiner/Savage) on their cable?

The minute I heard the story break I checked the publisher and George Soros's book was sitting right next to McMarshmallow's..I knew it then...

However, anyone notice the lack of coverage on this one? hmmmmmm...

Obviously no surprise here, but the essential question (as Tammy has noted) is why McClellan did this. Presumably he could have gotten published elsewhere, although a Soros publisher allows Soros to control the publicity campaign (i.e., Soros will trumpet it whereas another published might have been more subdued). But without the "why", the "how" isn't terribly exciting.

Not Surprising ....just more surprised it aint all over the Main Stream News....

Posted by: P.A.L [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 29, 2008 03:35 PM

Obviously no surprise here, but the essential question (as Tammy has noted) is why McClellan did this.

Talkin' Horse ...

Isn't the really essential question, why President Bush appointed this hopeless boob, who now turns out not to even have an ounce of integrity, or honor?

Lack of qualities that can be added to a long list of Scotty's lacklustre talents.

Do you think when the President heard even his old press secretary had turned on him like an angry worm...

Bush groaned, Caesar like: "Et tu, Scotty?"

Sorry to say, nut his says more about Bush than McClellan.

Posted by: Jack Bauer [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 29, 2008 05:00 PM

Hey, Jack Bauer, as you (unintentionally?) acknowledge in your "Et tu" reference, there's a long and dubious history of leaders placing their trust in treacherous individuals.

This is also a situation that most of us have encountered in everyday life. I certainly have. But then, I'm a clod and not a world leader, so maybe less is expected of me.

But your question is a fair one. This is, at best, an embarrassment for Bush.

Posted by: Talkin Horse [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 29, 2008 05:50 PM

Et tu, Talkin'...

Well yes it was an intentional reference to Scottus.

Opens up an interesting debate. The world's most successful business leaders seem to learn an essential truth early... surround yourself with the most talented, brilliant people you can find.

And how can you fail?

Guess what, people with these high qualities, quite often have a level on integrity.

Unfortunately Bush went to next crony in line route so many times.

And guess what. Turns out these guys had no loyalty anyway. So he got the worst of all worlds: incompetent creeps who stabbed him in the back anyway.

Moral of the story -- appoint really good people, and you are less likely to have to total eff ups that your disloyal cronies then try to exploit once they've left your employ.
