McCain's Convention Bounce Continues

I would expect this trend to continue.

Gallup Daily: McCain Moves Ahead, 48% to 45%
McCain enjoying increase in support following convention

PRINCETON, NJ -- The latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update shows John McCain moving ahead of Barack Obama, 48% to 45%, when registered voters are asked for whom they would vote if the presidential election were held today.

The next major impact on polls will be the debates. Here's that schedule.

First presidential debate:
Friday, September 26
University of Mississippi, Oxford, MS

Vice presidential debate:
Thursday, October 2
Washington University in St. Louis, MO

Second presidential debate:
Tuesday, October 7
Belmont University, Nashville, TN

Third presidential debate:
Wednesday, October 15
Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY

Of course, this is until the ObamaMessiah can figure out a way to back out of the debates - like he did with the Town Halls.

I was wondering if anyone thinks that a landslide is possible with either one of the candidates? Seems like it will come down to the usual battleground states and wind up close.
I worry that if its close near the very end that the NY Times, LA Times or any other big left wing media outlet will come out with their traditional last minute hit pieces in order to influence an election.
I think the NY times did that to George Bush in 04 the week before the election about his DUI and I know the LA Times came out against Arnold Schwarzenegger with the groping allegations right before that election.
Hopefully McCain/Palin can withstand the media assault and win this thing.

Now the polls matter.
Keep in mind Gallup had Bush up 50-45 on Kerry in September 2004, and 100,000 in Ohio won it.

Don't let up folks.

Drudge report is saying that the New York Times is preparing a front page expose on Sarah Palin's baby
Ugh... just unbelievable.

The report on the troopergate inquiry will come out Oct. 10.

The NY Times story is posted on their site and is a lovely mommy story!

Go McPalin!
