When will the “mainstream media” realize it is totally irrelevant? Losing viewers by the scores of thousands……I guess Carl Rove is to blame?
COULD it be……the trash journalism? Possibly?
Even my grandmother, a life long Democrat, saw how blatantly they slanted their “news”. She loved Sarah Palin and watched Fox News around the clock. She took the time to think for herself, not listen to the crap being spewed by the MSM and reeducated her political views.
I lost my dear grandmother, nearly 89, on Christmas morning but she got the best present of all.

    1. As to the Palin article – how Orwellian can you get? If it weren’t for the internet and conservative websites, we would never know, would we? It’s just like a re-writing of history.

    Very creepy.

    2. As to the Universal Healthcare issue. I keep saying this to my mom, a Polish immigrant raised in England. It’s been hard to break her of her Euro-centric thinking. When she sees stories about patients dying because health insurance company refuse to pay for treatment, she doesn’t realize that the answer IS NOT universal health care. That the problem is not that we don’t have that, it’s that the system we have has TOO much gov’t, driving costs up and of course, just as the gov’t will do, the insurance companies are keeping an eye on costs.

I don’t know all the ins and outs of health insurance, but I do know that I’ve read stories about doctors that stopped taking any insurance and only charged like $40 per visit and one woman who was only charged out of pocket $1,000 for 8 months worth of intensive treatment, including medicine, of Lyme Disesase. Why so little? Doctor didn’t take insurance. Therefore he doesn’t have to hire six people to deal with the paperwork and he has lower overhead and voila! He can charge less.

Wow, it’s amazing how the free market works, isn’t it?

Insurance was for Major Medical. Now it’s for everything. Some may think I’m a mean mom, but if I know for sure my kids have a cold, no matter how crappy they feel, I do NOT pay the co-pay to take them to a doctor who won’t give them antibiotics anyway (and smart thing, too) because it’s a freakin’ COLD.

Insurance should be for hospitalization, like it used to be, pay for everything else cash, out of pocket and see prices drop. That’s my understanding of it anyway.

My mom just doesn’t understand that once the gov’t is involved, it’s an Orwellian nightmare, as Japan as already shown and many other countries. Even in the U.S. there was a school checking the BMIs of junior high students and not in private either so that some poor heavy-set girl had to be embarrassed by people hearing what her BMI was. How about teaching history, English grammar, math, science? No, we’re worried about soda machines, BMIs and making sure they all have birth control pills and condoms.

It really is some kind of Orwellian nightmare, I swear!

Hoosier Granny?? Ah..glad to see the Right to keep and bear Snuffies is alive and well in Indiana. In DC she’d be dead. I’ll bet Teddy Kennedy and Barbara Boxer want her busted but Ole Sandra is now a hero of mine. Thanks Tammy, this made my day.

  7. RobK says:

Pinata (Panetta) is another idiot Liberal that doesn’t realize the U.S. doesn’t torture uniformed forces, but we can sure torture “enemy combatants”. Enemy combatants do not follow the rules of the Geneva Convention and hence have no rights. Also Pinata, the U.S. Constitution doesn’t apply to foreigners anyway. Oh yeah, Barky sure knows how to pick em.

RE: The global Sea Ice Article…

Quote: In his 2006 movie “An Inconvenient Truth,” he needlessly stoked fear by claiming that global warming could cause sea levels to rise 20 feet “in the near future.”

The actual inconvenient truth is: “the near future” in geological and chronological terms could mean a hundred-thousand years from now. The Goricle owes the world in general and the scientific community in specific a huge apology. Don’t hold your breath waiting, the apology may not come in “the near future”.
