Three weeks in and Lincoln’s looking a tad like Nero.
I guess hiding out with 2nd graders and then having a campaign rally in Indiana didn’t allow him to avoid his responsibility long enough, so now he’s playing ball in the mountains. As I mentioned on Tammy Radio today, it has become remarkably evident that the man simply doesn’t know how to actually govern. He knows how to campaign and deliver vapid teleprompter speeches, but has absolutely no clue, and perhaps no desire, to engage in the business of running the country. He wants comparisons to Lincoln? A comparison to Nero at this point would be more appropriate.
Look at it this way: Just 631 days to go until the 2010 elections.
Obama already thinking of summer at Camp David
President Barack Obama made his first weekend visit to Camp David, and Monday gave a thumbs up to the retreat in Maryland’s Catoctin Mountains.
“It was beautiful,” he said Monday. “The girls just had a great time. They had a lot of fun. You can see that during the summer it’s going to be a nice place to spend a lot of time. Hit a few golf balls. Played a little basketball.” [...]
“Some of the greatest adventures that we experience in life here in this nation, like family vacations, and camping, and hiking, and fishing, if you’re blessed to have access to those resources, are possible because of the work that you do right here in this department,” [Michelle Obama] said.
“And Barack and I and the girls, as you may have read, just had a little retreat away. We visited Camp David for the first time, and got to experience the beautiful, the beauty of those grounds, and it was just wonderful to get a bit of a break and to spend some quality time as a family in nature.”
I kid you not. Perpetual vacation time for these Friends of Terrorists as their lackeys work to destroy this nation with a Crap Sandwich which will collapse us from within.
Meanwhile families are scaling back, foregoing vacations, taking pay cuts and loosing jobs…
I mentioned in another blog post that I can’t wait to find out how much vacation Obama takes compared to Bush – someone the media crucified because of all the vacation time he had. Of course, things will be much like with the inauguration – where Obama’s worse than Bush, and liberals don’t care.
How lovely that this elitist bastard will bask in the sunshine and have the audacity to talk about it while real hard working Americans, many who may not have taken a vacation in years, are back in Kentucky burying their dead who froze to death these past two weeks. This man is despicable.
My last “vacation” was 2 years ago when my father died, I don’t remember the one before that. Now I spend my time looking for work and seeing where else I can cut expenses.
