There’s an important interview with Dick Cheney over at Politico. In it he warns that Obama is signaling such weakness that a WMD attack in the next few years by al-Qaida is likely. Please read the whole thing.
Former Vice President Dick Cheney warned that there is a “high probability†that terrorists will attempt a catastrophic nuclear or biological attack in coming years, and said he fears the Obama administration’s policies will make it more likely the attempt will succeed.
In an interview Tuesday with Politico, Cheney unyieldingly defended the Bush administration’s support for the Guantanamo Bay prison and coercive interrogation of terrorism suspects.
And he asserted that President Obama will either backtrack on his stated intentions to end those policies or put the country at risk in ways more severe than most Americans — and, he charged, many members of Obama’s own team — understand.
“When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an Al Qaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States against people who are absolutely committed to do anything they can to kill Americans, then I worry,†Cheney said.
As all of us should.

“When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an Al Qaeda terrorist….”,
Cheney hits on what we’ve become known for and the reasons the rest of the world holds us in contempt. This coddling to terrorists is what the world watches. As usual, the public is told it’s our ‘cowboy’ ways.
What movies and books do the other countries sell most of? Stories of our frontiers and struggles and how we dealt with them.
Singinng “send in the clowns, there ought to be clowns”. I hope God is having fun watching us SCREW ourselfs into the ground. Barry can’t be that stupid, can he? He’s dancing on the head of a pin is the way I see it. The far left loons(as O’reilly calls them) are pulling him one way and reality the other. Rush wants Barry to fail but on this matter I Pray he does not. I never want to see a nuke in my lifetime. God help us!!!!
We knew Odumbass was going to compromise our security – and yes, he is stupid enough to do it. This is a guy who has been surrounded by ‘yes’ men for quite a while and believes the power of his public persona will be enough to magically change the world. He didn’t realize the presidency required more than opening his mouth; what a shock it must have been for him to realize he actually has to put words to action – and that Americans respond when we know we’re about to get screwed.
Cheney sums up what we’ve all been concerned about, and it’s great to see someone from the Bush administration just finally tell it like it is. Rather amazing, also, is the Odumbass administration’s wish to go after talk-radio with more vigor and anger than toward the terrorists who have every intention of killing all of us.
Now that America is in the palm of those who are greedy, deceitful, self-absorbed, corrupt, incompetent, irresponsible, Marxist and suffer from a strand of crotch-rot that has reached their brain, we should be concerned – very concerned.
Anyone else catch CNN’s Anderson Cooper hyperventilating about Cheney’s comments? I ask because after hearing the words, “arrogant” and “intrusive” the remote automotively changed the channel so I missed the rest.
Can’t seem to recall “purpously-bad-haircut-as-trademark” Andy being that demonstrative about Jimmuh Carter, Bill Clinton, and a herd of congressional dolts butting into foreign matters during the Bush presidency.
