Obama mum on proposal to scrap tax cut

Here’s the video of Barney Frank telling Code Pink to “grow up.” I guess being 8 years late with the admonition is better than nothing.

Yep. Going to hell in the China made, lead tainted hand basket. At least we can watch O mans big ass teleprompter as we sink.

No more telepropmter, it’s a big screen TV.
No more War On Terror, it’s a “Overseas Contingency Operation.”
No more enemy combatants, they’re now just “detainees.”
No more Office of Community and Faith-Based Initiatives, it’s now “Council for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.”
    No more terrorism, it’s a “man-caused disaster.”
No more Sturmabteilung (brownshirts), it’s a “Civilian National Security Force.”

China is lecturing us on capitalism while we ignore their human rights abuses. France is lecturing us about having taxes too high. Russia has Clinton dropping the soap.

It is indeed the Dawn of a New Error, as Tammy often so aptly reminds us.

Subsidize a newpaper and you support a propaganda ministry.
The EU President knows how bad a shape their Economic Union is. And, now their worried that their favorite target of jealosy won’t be able to hold them up…again..anymore.
Tell me, people believed there’d be a tax cut in Obamaland.
Oh, yes. Another thing – Border protection. Guess where most of the search warrants for guns will be served. Yup – US Residents with property on the border who have already obeyed the law and have registered their guns.
Quite a prime time press congference last night – YAWN.

Just a lil reminder of what happened when TOTUS took a nappy during Obama’s blather in July 2008.

    Bwahaha.

    and then there’s this:

Last night, President Barack Obama expressed confidence in the dollar and declared: “I don’t believe that there’s a need for a global currency.”

Normally, that would settle the issue. But in the past 24 hours two of Obama’s top economic advisers have signaled an openness to such a new global currency — in one form or another. What’s going on?

Politico’s Ben Smith reports that Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said this morning that he was open to a new global currency to replace the dollar, as proposed by a Chinese central banker. Geithner, according to Smith, said that the proposal — which he has not yet read — is less transformative that headlines have suggested. “We’re actually quite open to that suggestion – you should see it as rather evolutionary rather building on the current architecture rather than moving us to global monetary union,” Geithner said.

Later, the moderator, per Smith “apparently sensing a gaffe,” asked Geithner to clarify his remarks. Geithner walked back his earlier comments and said he does not see the dollar being sidelined by a new currency.

But Geithner wasn’t the only top Obama adviser who refused to rule out a transition to a gloabl currency. White House economic adviser Austan Goolsbee said much the same thing yesterday afternoon in an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. Although he characterized such a change as “unlikely,” Goolsbee twice declined to rule out such a global currency despite being pressed by Blitzer. “I haven’t seen the details of the proposal,” Goolsbee said.

You know, come to think of it, Code Pink DOES seem to be present at virtually every Congressional or Senate hearing. How and why is this allowed? Pink t-shirts and circa-60′s protest posters does not seem to fit the decorum.

As for the EU president, he is simply pointing out reality and exasperation, maybe even desperation, at the insanity coming out of Washington.

How many warning shots does the EU have to fire across the bow before Obama finally “gets it”? I really think he could care less… this is his chance to enact the sweeping social changes he’s dreamed of his entire adult life, and he is hell bent to accomplish this, the middle class be damned.

Could it be that the EU really doesn’t want us to follow in line with the European economic socialist model? I am quite certain they are worried that the hand that feeds and protects them is in jeopardy, and in fact they wish they could revert to a true free-market capitalistic way of life themselves.

  7. RobK says:

Wow, in this case I’ll have to high five Frank! There are groups I call “over the firewall freaks” on the left and Code Fink is one of them. Let me say that Freedom of Speech is not absolute, meaning, if it incites a riot, or is offensive, it must stop then and there. Code Fink should have been removed the first time they raised their elementary sign. Thanks Barney, but have them removed!

  8. Shawmut says:

Barney, like any other drama queen, when it comes to center stage, just couldn’t handle the competition.

  9. echo says:

A distraction from the fact that Barney Frank, and his cohort in the Senate, Chris Dodd, should have been removed from these chairmanships long ago. They are investigating a collapse they helped engineer with their loosening of restrictions at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. How do these two still have jobs when they want to fire all the CEO’s that did exactly what they wanted them to do?
